"Kazuya…" Hiruzen murmured, his gaze thoughtful. "You've exceeded my expectations in every way."
For Hiruzen, this was high praise, and the astonishment on Homura's and Koharu's faces showed they agreed.
In the heart of the battlefield, Kazuya and Jiraiya's fight was reaching a fever pitch.

"Jiraiya has been forced to go this far?" Hiruzen muttered, shaking his head.
Yet he tensed up, his chakra simmering beneath the surface.
"If things get out of hand… I may have to step in," he said, eyes flashing with resolve.
The earth shook, and the air buzzed with anticipation.
In the clearing, a massive red toad with a smoking pipe wrapped in bandages appeared, towering dozens of meters tall and radiating an overwhelming aura.
"Jiraiya… Don't tell me you summoned me to deal with the Nine-Tails again?" the red toad muttered, annoyed. "I only just recovered from the last time!"
Jiraiya laughed, arms crossed in delight. "Not the Nine Tails this time, but still a powerful opponent, Gamabunta!"
Yes—the one and only boss toad from Mount Myoboku, Gamabunta, the ultimate fighter who had once gone toe-to-toe with the likes of Shukaku, the Nine-Tails, and Manda.

In the middle of the clearing, Gamabunta opened his huge mouth, spraying out a deluge of toad oil that mixed with Jiraiya's Fire Release. Instantly, the air ignited into a blazing inferno.

The sea of fire surged towards Kazuya's Rasenshuriken. Fire Release had the elemental advantage over Wind Release, and with the added fuel from the toad oil, this Toad Oil Flame Bullet was every bit as powerful as the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken.
This was a clash between titanic forces.
Seeing this display, Kazuya's expression turned serious.

Flashes of lightning began to arc through the clouds, illuminating the scene.
In a heartbeat, an immense, terrifying bolt of lightning—Kirin—took shape in the sky.

The lightning painted Jiraiya's face in shades of electric blue as he stared up in shock.

In an instant, the thunderous lightning creature plunged downward.
It was fast—too fast.
Gamabunta, with his massive size, had little chance to react. He felt the terror of the impending strike, but evasion was impossible.
BOOM! BOOM!
Two Kirin bolts struck Gamabunta directly.
KA-BOOM!
A blinding, cataclysmic flash exploded, engulfing the massive toad in the fearsome energy of Kazuya's lightning.
Gamabunta had just experienced the same wrath as the Eight-Tails.
"AAARGH!!!"
Amid the lightning storm, a guttural scream echoed.

Jiraiya, still smoldering, finally caught his breath. Smiling bitterly, he muttered, "Kazuya-kun… you're a monster…"
With that, he simply lay back on the scorched earth, staring up at the sky.
How exhausting.
This young monster—how could he be this powerful?
Simply unbelievable.
