Sally's POV
"Hey Sally, I heard what happened, so I had to come over to know exactly what happened to your brother" I heard a familiar voice which looked like May's voice and when I looked to the direction which the voice was calling from I saw it was May. I was really surprised how she figured out that I was at the police station or how my brother was caught by the police because I can't remember the last time we both had a conversation. I had to ask her about it and who told her the whole thing about this case. "Hey May, what are you doing here, how do you know I was here?" I asked her, but she paused for some seconds before she then had to explain who was the one that told her about it. "Sally, why are you crying what is the problem, you don't have to cry okay everything would be absolutely fine in no time okay I assure you just have to move on with life take everything as it is" Sally said to me with pity, but I didn't find any sense to her advice does she mean I should just live my brother there to die in jail does she even know what it means to lose your last relation that would never happen my brother get out of that prison. " What do you really mean, I should just leave my brother to die in prison?" I asked. "No, that's not what I meant. I was just trying to motivate you to just go on with life and forget about that past because it's important to forget about the past, don't let the past kill you, okay" she said. "But this is not the past yet, okay it's still the present and I wouldn't allow anything bad to happen to my brother. Okay, I just want you to know that.
"Okay fine, just suit yourself," she said, but as she was about to turn her face, I noticed that she stared endlessly at the ring I put on my fingers, so I purposely cleared my throat to draw her attention. "What are you putting on an engagement ring so who engaged you is one of your lowlife boyfriend's, and you accepted why uhh am sorry" she said mockingly. I saw Asher come to my direction with the lawyer, so I thought you prove Me wrong, so I immediately fumed tears and ran to Asher. I hugged him. Furthermore, I know he would be very surprised why I did it, but I have to tell May that she is mistaken by doing this. "What's the problem now? What are you doing?" Asher asked. " Just shut it and allow me" I summoned courage and I kissed him. He also fell for it, we continued, and our lips were together for some minutes before I had to release it. I left him and the lawyer together and went back to sit with May.
"What was the meaning of what you just did now?" May asked me. "I know you aren't dumb enough to know why it means that meant that all the rubbish you have been saying here was nonsense he is my husband mg beloved husband and that is the fact that you don't have to insult me okay I wouldn't want to do this, but you forced me to prove you wrong which I did and josh I hope you would believe that I am not going around with those cheap guy as you just claimed now" I said. "Wow I can see that you have come out from the Shadow of your past self, and I am delighted for you, you now have a new family that is excellent for you okay I wish you well" she said. "Thank you dear" I said.
"Sally," I heard my name and I knew it was Asher, so I had to tell May that I would be going because the call was significant. She also nodded and left the place immediately. "Mrs. Miller, I want your signature here because this signature would clarify that you are one of the witnesses of this act, so are you ready to sign?" The lawyer asked. "Yes, I am ready for it. I would do it," I replied. I was given a pen and a file where I gave my signature and which was done. As I was about to leave the office I noticed Asher followed me out until we got to a corner where Asher had to hold me and questioned me. I knew that he was to ask me about what happened early.
"I know you would do this," I said. "What exactly is the reason you had to kiss me in front of everyone?" He asked. "I did it for a reason and what I did was the only remedy to solve it that was why I kissed you I am truly sorry if you don't like it"
"I never said I didn't like It, I just wanted to know the reason you have to do it all of a sudden. It's not bad, though," he said. I smiled at his words, but I wasn't meant to smile because the critical condition at hand has not been solved yet so I would have to just be sad until it has been solved.
"We have spent the whole day running around because of your brother's case and of course I know that you would be hungry as I am right now, don't you think we should go out to any nearby restaurant so we could go and take something? What do you think about it?" he said. "It's a suitable option you suggested, so let's just go right now.
"Okay, let me just go get my car keys," Asher said. I had to go outside and wait patiently for him.
