Chapter 2: Quirk Assessment
~~~~~~~
There were a few murmurs of excitement among the class. Everyone knew that the Quirk Assessment Tests were an opportunity to show off their abilities and push their limits. I felt a mixture of anticipation and nerves, Aizawa could actually expel the entire class this time around.
Aizawa looked around the class, his gaze lingering on me for a moment before continuing.
"The Quirk assessment tests will be designed to evaluate your physical abilities and how well you can use your Quirks," he said. "This will help us determine your strengths and weaknesses, and what areas you need to improve upon."
I looked at the outfits in front of him, they were the iconic Yuuei Gym Clothes.
Indeed, Aizawa was holding a stack of gym clothes, each with the iconic Yuuei logo emblazoned on them. He handed one to each student, along with a pair of athletic shoes.
"Change into these and meet me outside," he said, before turning to leave the classroom.
I took mine and made my way towards the male locker rooms.
The male locker room was filled with the sounds of chatter and rustling clothes as the boys changed into their gym clothes. The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and nerves, as everyone prepared for the Quirk assessment tests.
As I finished getting dressed, I couldn't help but notice the way the uniform fit my body. It hugged my curves and accentuated my muscles, making me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin.
As I stepped out of the locker room, I noticed a few of the other boys glancing at me. They seemed to be checking me out, but I paid it no mind. I had always been confident in my appearance, and I wasn't going to let a few glances from my classmates rattle me.
As I walked outside, the sun hit my hair and made it shine like spun gold. My eyes seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, their color reminiscent of molten gold. I could feel the eyes of my classmates on me, drawn to my striking appearance like moths to a flame.
I scanned the crowd of students, searching for Kai among the sea of faces. It took me a moment, but I eventually spotted her standing off to the side, chatting with a few other girls from our class.
Kai looked up and noticed me approaching. She gave me a friendly smile, waving me over to join the group she was standing with.
I made my way over to the group, feeling a bit awkward as I stood among the other girls. I didn't really 'know' any of them, and I wasn't sure what to say. There was a difference between seeing the characters on the screen and in real life.
The girls in the group seemed to notice my awkwardness and gave me friendly smiles. They all seemed welcoming, but I could sense a bit of curiosity in their eyes as they looked me up and down.
"Hi, I'm Haruto Narikawa." I decided to introduce myself, these were the girls from the anime. Though they really do look even better in real life, I couldn't help but look forward to the hero costumes.
The girls introduced themselves one by one. There was Mina, a bubbly and energetic girl with pink hair and skin. Jiro, a cool and collected girl with headphone jacks for earlobes. Uraraka, a sweet and cheerful girl with brown hair and rosy cheeks. And finally, Yaoyorozu, a poised and elegant girl with long black hair and a calm demeanor.
After the introductions, the girls continued their conversation. They chatted about everything from classes to the latest hero news, all while stealing glances at me every now and then.
I stood there, feeling a bit like a fish out of water as I tried to keep up with the conversation. I was used to being the one with all the information, but here I was surrounded by people who had grown up in this world, who knew everything about the characters and the lore.
As I struggled to find my footing in the conversation, I caught a few of the girls exchanging glances. It was as if they were silently communicating something about me, but I couldn't tell what it was.
I suddenly noticed everyone had arrived and that Aizawa was about to start his speech. So I quickly got rid of my nervous attitude and focused solely on him.
Aizawa walked up to the front of the crowd and cleared his throat. The chatter among the students immediately died down as they all turned their attention to him.
Aizawa looked around at the class, his gaze lingering on me for a moment before he spoke.
'Does he have a problem with me already? What the hell did I do to piss off Aizawa?'
"Alright, listen up. Today, we'll be testing your Quirks and evaluating your physical abilities. This is an important test, so I expect all of you to give it your all."
He paused for a moment, letting his words sink in before continuing.
"The first test will be a 50-meter dash. We'll be using our Quirks to enhance our speed and see who's the fastest."
I listened closely to what exactly my classmates were going to say. I listened for who would say getting to use our quirks was awesome.
Most of the class seemed excited at the prospect of using their Quirks in a competition. Some of them even started making bets on who would win the 50-meter dash.
I was listening and heard a girl say something about using our quirks would be fun and awesome.
I glanced over to see who had spoken. It was Mina, the pink-haired girl with a bubbly personality. She was practically bouncing up and down with excitement, her eyes shining with anticipation.
I then turned to Aizawa, waiting for his speech and threat from the anime. Aizawa cleared his throat again, catching the attention of the class. He looked at each of them in turn, his expression serious.
"Awesome, you say?" He looked threatening and… homeless still. I saw him glare at me and I couldn't help but think this guy had some type of sixth sense.
"You're hoping to become heroes after three years here… and you think it'll be all fun and games?" Aizawa looked down, his dead fish eyes still staring directly at us. There was a shadow on the top part of his face as his hand was in front of him.
"Right. The one with the lowest score across all eight events will be judged hopeless… and will be expelled." Aizawa glared at all of us, his eyes showing that he was not joking. I knew he wasn/t joking, he has expelled at least 154 students as the 1-A homeroom teacher.
"Your fates are in our hands. Welcome, this is… The hero course at Yuuei High!" He said as he moved his hair back with his hand, revealing his eyes better and they glowed red. I realized I couldn't use my quirk and remembered just how big of a threat Aizawa, or better known as… Eraserhead was.
The class fell silent, a mix of shock and disbelief on their faces. I, on the other hand, remained calm and composed. I had been expecting this, and I was prepared for it. Just wasn't expecting how cool and terrifying Aizawa would be in person.
Aizawa's eyes scanned the crowd, taking in the stunned expressions of the students. He seemed to linger on me for a moment, his gaze piercing and unreadable.
'I have yet again made myself stand out again. I might be cooked, wallahi.'
Aizawa's gaze shifted away from me, and he continued speaking.
"Now, let's begin the first test. Line up and get ready."
The students quickly lined up in two groups, waiting for their turn to race. I stood in line with the rest of the boys, my heart racing with anticipation.
As the first group of students prepared to race, I watched closely. I knew I had a good chance of winning, but I also knew I couldn't get cocky. There were a lot of powerful Quirks in this class, and any one of them could surprise me.
...
The first race began, and the students sprinted down the 50-meter track. Quirks were used to give them a boost of speed, making it hard to keep track of who was in the lead.
After a few seconds, the race came to an end. The students stopped at the finish line, panting and out of breath. Aizawa looked down at his stopwatch, a small smile on his face.
"Well, that was... impressive. The winner is..."
The crowd waited with bated breath, anxious to hear who had won the race.
"Izuku Midoriya!"
Aizawa announced, causing a ripple of surprise to run through the crowd. The freckled boy's eyes widened in shock, his mouth agape as he realized he had won.
...
Sike. That would never happen, ever. But the first two up to race were…
The first two students up were Midoriya and Bakugo. They both looked determined to win, with Midoriya seeming a bit more nervous than Bakugo.
The starting gun went off, and both Midoriya and Bakugo shot forward. Bakugo used his explosions to propel himself forward, while Midoriya used a combination of his enhanced speed and control over air to give himself a boost.
It seemed the Midoriya in this universe actually got some control over One for All. That's actually really good, the stronger my classmates are, the easier the events should hopefully be.
The race was close, but in the end, Bakugo managed to cross the finish line a split second before Midoriya. He pumped his fist in the air in triumph, a smug grin on his face.
Midoriya panted heavily as he crossed the finish line, clearly exhausted from using his Quirk. He looked disappointed in himself, but he still gave Bakugo a determined look, silently promising to beat him next time.
The other races had passed, and now it was finally my turn. I stepped up to the starting line, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
I ended up giving him a smirk that agreed to his challenge.
Iida chuckled at my smirk, amused by my confidence. He cracked his knuckles, getting ready for the race.
I leaned forward and started pouring psychic energy into my feet, psychic energy bursts ready to explode with force and propel me forward at high speeds.
Iida's engines started to hum loudly as he readied himself to run. He could sense that I was using my Quirk, and he was prepared to counter it with his own.
As the starting gun went off, I pushed off the ground with a burst of psychic energy, shooting forward at breakneck speed. The energy from my Quirk gave me a significant boost, and I quickly pulled ahead of Iida.
Iida was shocked at my sudden burst of speed. He tried to catch up, but he couldn't match my pace. He gritted his teeth, determined not to be left in the dust.
As I continued to speed ahead, I felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. The thrill of the race was intoxicating, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. I glanced back to see how far I had left Iida behind, and to my surprise, he was starting to catch up.
As I crossed the finish line, I pumped my fist in the air, elated at my victory. I turned to face Iida, who was breathing heavily as he came to a stop just behind me.
I beat Iida who got 3.04 seconds in the Anime. I had literally beat a guy with engines on his legs, how could I not celebrate.
Iida was visibly frustrated at having lost to me, but he still managed a smile as he approached me.
"Congratulations, Haruto. You were definitely the faster of the two of us today."
I realized he must have been close-by and heard my introduction to the girls of class 1-A.
"Thank you, engines. I don't know your name, but you got 3.04 seconds, I only beat you by .04 seconds."
Iida chuckled at my comment.
"I'm Iida Tenya, and it's quite alright. I should've expected you to beat me. You clearly have a powerful Quirk." hmm
Is this rizz chat? This is not BL, this is purely boy girl. Though if there was a femboy in my hero, no guarantees, lol.
