(I have edited chapter 11 to match the plot)
Since he would have to cross the Sorcerous Dynasty of Sarion, a nation with one of the most advanced nations technologically and magically, with two possible Ultimate skill wielders Leo decided to directly Teleport to the Great Jura Forest since he got access to the map and knew coordinates of the forest though he could end up in some random location.
Leo focused his mind, recalling the map coordinates for the Great Jura Forest. With a swift mental command, he teleported there.
The world around him blurred, colors swirling as the familiar sensation of spatial displacement washed over him. Leo's magical senses guided him, ensuring a precise arrival.
Leo found himself standing amidst the dense foliage of the Great Jura Forest. Towering trees loomed above, their canopies a vibrant tapestry of greens.
Leo's eyes scanned his surroundings, taking in the sounds and scents of the forest. He stood at the edge of a clearing, a narrow stream babbling nearby.
"Perfect," Leo thought, relieved. His teleportation had landed him precisely within the forest, avoiding potential complications.
Leo walked for some time. Leo expanded his Divine Senses, and his eyes widened in disbelief as he picked a massive aura much more than his. He doesn't know how many times, but he was sure it was at least 10 times.
"Fucking True Dragons!" Knowing the only being who could have such aura in the forest Leo cursed and knew that Veldora wasn't even actively releasing his aura it was just a passive effect, similar to his Divine Presence that makes people view him as an ally or friend and those with malicious intentions or bad guys will feel fear or guilt when they are in his presence and it is just a passive effect.
He could sense some sort of resonance with the aura as if it was calling him like a long-lost lover, though Leo knew it was his Clash divinity acting up. The whole Jura Forest was filled with it, though the area around Veldora's cave was in harmony probably because of Veldora.
It is funny thinking that the presence of the incarnation of Chaos is creating harmony, though if Veldora was not sealed, it would be a completely different matter.
He also found various other signatures belonging to different monsters from weakest to strongest.
On further exploration, he found a small village likely abandoned, but Leo felt that it was not due to monsters but something else.
Crumbling cottages and overgrown gardens spoke of what once remained of a village; there were signs of fighting and blood, not the work of some powerful monster.
His senses some human life forms different from monsters due to low magicules but strong souls, but they were not particularly strong, and he could sense their malicious intentions.
'Probably bandits,' he thought, feeling like he was about to encounter some cliche scenario, though they were at a considerable distance and would take a few hours to reach the village, which was probably their temporary base, there were around five of them.
As Leo explored the abandoned village, he deduced that the bandits were likely fugitives from the nearby Kingdom of Blumund. They had probably driven out or killed the villagers, converting the village into their temporary stronghold.
Situated near the kingdom's border, the village might have originally served as a temporary residence for travelers or traders. The bandits' takeover explained the village's current state.
Leo planned to gather information in the Kingdom of Blumund, but his intentions were foiled when he sensed a powerful spatial distortion. The energy signature resembled summoning magic, emanating from the bandits' location.
Curiosity got the better of him, and Leo swiftly flew towards the disturbance. The journey was brief, and soon, he found himself above the bandits; I completely concealed my presence to not scare off the bandits.
(Leo)
As I observed the distortion, I realized what it was. The magicules generated far exceeded those of a standard summoning ritual. This wasn't a deliberate act; it was a spatial crack - a tear in the fabric of reality.
"Perfect timing," I mused, intrigued.
The bandits panicked and retreated to a nearby hiding spot, curiosity getting the better of them.
From the shimmering spatial crack emerged a girl with striking features.
Short black hair framed her face.
Violet eyes sparkled with a mix of surprise and alarm.
Her cold demeanor swiftly masked the initial shock.
I sensed her panic, hidden beneath the composed exterior.
"A stray Otherworldler," I thought, recognizing the signs.
Her beauty was remarkable, possibly enhanced by magicule reconstruction or she was always this beautiful.
What surprised me, however, was her strength - C+ rank, yet unstable.
The bandits, like moths to a flame, emerged from hiding, their lustful gazes fixed on the girl. I suppressed a scoff at the clichéd scenario, completely ignoring the fact this girl appeared out of nowhere.
"Ah, a stray Otherworldler," the leader, a barely D-rank brute, sneered. "These bastards are better suited as slaves. We can sell her at the market."
Maybe they knew, and precisely because of that, they were even more eager; stray Otherworldlers are generally known to be weak; he didn't know why, though.
The girl's expression twisted in disgust, but she swiftly masked it with a fearful facade. Her performance was impressive; I struggled to stifle applause.
"D-don't come any closer," she stuttered, feigning terror.
However, I sensed an unsettling calmness emanating from her. It was at odds with her fearful demeanor, and my instincts told me she wasn't as vulnerable as she seemed.
The bandits, oblivious to this discrepancy, closed in. Their leader continued, "Hehe, girl, don't fear us. We will help you adjust to this world thoroughly."
The girl's eyes darted between the bandits, her fake fear convincing, but I detected a glimmer of calculation.
The bandit leader took out a rusted knife, strapped to his belt.
The bandits, emboldened by their leader's actions, charged towards the girl. She stood frozen, feigning fear, as they closed in.
"Girl don't try to protest." The bandit said warning her as he tried to close in.
Suddenly, she sprang into action. With an unexpected burst of speed, she dodged the leader's clumsy attack and landed a precise kick on his stomach.
The leader was shot like a cannonball, caught off guard by her sudden display of agility and strength.
The girl herself was surprised, but she did stop and seized the initiative. Her movements were unpolished but effective, aided by her slightly enhanced physique.
She took the bandit leader's knife that had fallen on the ground. The blade gleamed in her hand as she attacked other bandits closing in; the bandits, wary of her strength, attacked together.
But with swift, precise slashes and brutality, she struck the bandits. One was slit in the throat.
Unfortunately, when she struck the other bandit, the knife broke, killing the bandit in the process.
The remaining two bandits faltered, but seeing the dagger break, they advanced, the girl tried to fight with brute force, but the bandits used numbers to their advantage.
However, the leader grabbed her from behind, catching her off-guard.
The girl's eyes widened as she struggled to break free. Her element of surprise spent, she was now at a disadvantage.
That's when I intervened.
With a swift dash, I closed the distance and struck the bandit holding her, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Need a hand?" I asked, using my divine aura at its maximum to make a first good impression.
The girl's gaze met mine, a flash of gratitude flickering across her face but wariness was there.
The other two bandits standing turned to flee, but I took the Desert Eagle from my coat and-
*BangX2
I regretted it immediately; the gore was too much. The bandits' upper bodies had vanished, leaving behind a gruesome mess. The girl paled visibly, her eyes wide with discomfort. She tried to compose herself, but her face twisted in distress.
I winced, sharing her unease. "Hey, it's fine," I said gently. "You can let it out."
Her resolve crumbled. She turned away, vomiting violently. I handed her a cloth from my coat, concern etched on my face.
"Easy, easy," I said, rubbing my hand over her back, not trying to be too touchy but enough to comfort her; I used healing magic on her. "It's over now."
"Thanks for holding up," I said, smiling warmly. "I'm Leo, by the way."
"Sakaguchi Hinata." She replied still reeling from the previous experiences.
"Hey Hinata, can I ask you something?" I said, feigning curiosity.
"Yes, Leo-san," she replied her wariness lessened due to me spamming my Divine Aura.
"How did you end up in the middle of that forest?" I asked, eyes locked on hers.
Hinata's brow furrowed.
"I... I don't know. One moment I was at home, and then... here. I don't remember anything in between."
I nodded sympathetically.
"I just heard a mechanical voice." She revealed a little.
Hinata's eyes searched mine.
"Do you know anything about it?" she asked.
I shrugged.
"Maybe. I've heard about Otherworlders. They are not THAT rare," then I lowered my voice as if sharing a secret." I am also Otherworldler."
Hinata's eyes widened slightly.
"Really? You're also... summoned?" Her surprise didn't disrupt her wariness though.
I nodded.
"Yeah, same story. One moment, I was living my life; the next, I was here. No warning except the Voice of the World."
"How long... have you been here?" she asked.
"Not long, but enough to learn the basics," I replied with a chuckle. "This world's... different. Magic's real, monsters roam, and humans aren't at the top of the food chain."
Hinata's eyes sparkled with curiosity and skepticism
"Tell me more," she urged.
"Well," I began, "this world's divided into kingdoms, each with its own culture and rules. There are monsters, demons, and... other creatures. Some are friendly, others... not so much."
Hinata listened intently.
"And what about... us? Otherworldlers?"
"We're rare," I explained. "Most people don't know what to make of us. Some see us as threats, others as... opportunities."
(PoV change)
Leo then proceeded to talk about the world. He only told her about the common things; he tried to keep Hinata's view of monsters neutral, considering the future, Hinata tried to know about his skills.
Hinata, still skeptical, tried to hide it with curiosity. The gun? How did you take it out of nowhere?"
Leo gave her a smug smile as he 'revealed.' "My previous world wasn't exactly normal. You can say I received it from someone." He kept it vague.
Hinata didn't pry further, knowing it would be rude since she also didn't disclose her past. She did not want the only person she knew to leave her in the middle of the forest after knowing her past; who would trust her after knowing what she did?
(Hinata PoV)
Thinking about the monsters inside the forest, she couldn't help but feel unease, not when her only source of protection was Leo-san, a boy of similar age to her but much more powerful than her; he emitted a warm aura, making her unconsciously lean closer to him.
She couldn't help but think of the previous incident where Leo-san saved her like a guardian angel, and with his looks, she would have believed so, though why would someone like her get a guardian of all people, she thought self-depreciatingly.
Shaking her delusional thoughts, she focused on what he said about the monsters and other races; she only heard of them in stories.
She thought about the next step in her life. Leo was also new to this world. With only one month spent here, she decided to stick with him until she found her new purpose.
"Here take this." Her train of thought was broken by Leo-san's voice. She turned to see his handsome face, noticing how close they were standing, and she could feel her face heat a bit.
She looked at what Leo was offering her it was a revolver and had a magical touch.
Leo-san explained, "It is for your protection. The forest isn't exactly the safest place; nearby is a kingdom. Maybe we can get help from there?" She takes the revolver, her Unique skill, helping her understand the best way to utilize it.
"Thanks," she was grateful for the gesture "I will give it back once we reach the kingdom."
Leo-san smiled ".No need, it is not an ordinary gun. You may find it useful; while it is not particularly strong, it can help you; I am not a gun user anyway." Then he pulls out a red katana out of his court. She still doesn't understand how it is possible but it was a reminder of the world she was in.
The blade was very hot. She could feel the heat even though Leo-san didn't bring the blade close to her as he said, "I am more of a blade user; this is a special sword. I always kept it in my coat. Thankfully, when I was brought here, it also came with me."
She was very curious about his life in the previous world but didn't want to be rude, considering the lack of a last name. His past might be something he didn't want to talk about, and he was probably trying to start a new life, like her.
*Growl
I could feel my cheeks heat up with embarrassment, but I was really hungry. I looked at Leo-san from the corner of my eye, and he gave me a knowing look.
"It is fine, I have plenty of food with me."
Did he also keep those in his inventory of the cost?
He chuckled awkwardly. "I was about to go somewhere, but in between, I was summoned here, and the rest is history."
She could tell he was not lying, and by his manners and knowledge about the modern world, he felt like a fellow Japanese.
'Wait a minute! How am I able to understand what he is saying he doesn't look like Japanese and all.'
"Hey, Leo-san, you are not a Japanese but how are you able to..." Leo made a look of realization as he explained, "It is my extra skill [All Speak]. It allows me to speak or understand any language in the Cardinal World." Well, it was an intrinsic skill, but which human has it?
I'd tried to copy his skills, but so far, no luck.
Leo's aura and arsenal made me wary, yet he seemed approachable. No monster dared to attack us since we teamed up, reinforcing my belief that his presence was the deterrent.
"You mentioned Otherworldlers gain Unique Skills, rare in this world," I said, curiosity getting the better of me. "Is yours... something you'd be willing to share?"
Leo's gaze faltered for an instant before he smiled.
"Curious, huh? My Unique Skill is Cartographer," he said, eyes sparkling.
"Cartographer?" I repeated. "What does it do?"
Leo leaned towards me.
"I can create and update maps of any area I've visited. It's not just visual; I sense spatial awareness, hidden paths, and potential dangers."
Intrigued, I tried my luck. "That's incredible! How does it work?"
Leo shrugged, "Instinct, mostly. My senses expand, and I see the layout. Useful for navigation and avoiding threats."
I nodded, processing this.
"And can you share more about your... maps? What kind of information do they hold?"
Leo's eyes gleamed.
"Everything from terrain and resources to magical energies and hidden dangers. It's like having a mental atlas."
My mind whirled with possibilities.
"Hey Hinata, it would take us days if we walked like this, so why don't you let me carry you? I can fly. We will stop nearby at an abandoned where we can have our meal, and then I will take us to the Kingdom of Blumund." He proposed out of nowhere. He was looking away, probably embarrassed about his request; I couldn't help but have the urge to tease him, which is unlike me, but I refrained from it.
His words were logical, and I could feel I was holding him back from using his full speed, but what caught my attention was, "You can fly?"
Leo-san chuckled in amusement. "Seriously, you literally got isekai'ed to a fantasy world, and you are getting shocked by this revelation."
'Ise-what maybe it is a term used in his world?' seeing my dumbfounded look Leo-san muttered something like "uncultured girl" or something like that but I decided to ignore it as he explained, "It is done by controlling gravitational forces it is a fairly common skill or wings, though there are other ways to fly too, flying is not something rare here, maybe you will also learn to fly in a few days."
I shook my head Leo-san was overestimating me.
*Growl my hunger will kill me.
I shook my head, "Leo-san, you're overestimating me."
My stomach growled, reminding me of my dire hunger. I glared at Leo, trying to appear menacing.
"Leo-san, if your hands wander to inappropriate places, I'll kill you," I warned, brandishing his magic revolver.
Leo burst into laughter.
"I'm not a pervert, Hinata," he assured, chuckling. "But that school dress.."
I looked down, mortified. I'd forgotten I still wore my school uniform, thankfully intact despite the ordeal.
"It's... fine," I muttered, trying to brush it off.
Leo's amusement faded, replaced by concern.
"We'll get you new clothes soon. For now, let's focus on finding a shelter."
Without warning, Leo scooped me into a princess carry, cradling me in his arms.
"Hey!" I tried to act, squirming.
"Relax, Hinata. You're exhausted and starving. I've got you," Leo said gently.
I hesitated, then relaxed into his hold, feeling an unexpected sense of security, probably due to him being much stronger than me.
~~~~~~~~
Well, well Hinata caught.
Don't worry. Hinata isn't going to change her views of monsters. She will be much more reasonable when it comes to them, though, but not much.
The Bandit even has been told in Hinata's back story I improved it for Leo's convenience.
Hinata is still wary of Leo, but due to his god-like handsomeness and his Divine Presence, which makes you feel safe and warm, gives a sense of security, etc. It is affecting her; if it was any other 'mortal,' they would already have been praying to Leo as God.
Leo decided to tell her about his origins as a stray Otherworldler, which is wrong. The world he is talking about is Clash Continent, which is technically another world for now.
Hinata is also a normal high school girl her age is 16-18 instead of 15 for obvious reasons.
