"Sui, you better not let Erina-chan down, understand?" Leonora sternly warned, giving Sui a sharp pat on the shoulder.
At that moment, her expression bore a striking resemblance to her daughter, Alice.
Senzaemon furrowed his brow slightly as he glanced at the Sendawara Sisters, while Sonoka, familiar with their personalities, remained unfazed. However, Hinako puffed out her cheeks in clear displeasure.
"Ahem, they were just asking me to be a food consultant," Sui coughed lightly, attempting to diffuse the tension.
It was only then that the Sendawara Sisters noticed Senzaemon and Leonora standing nearby. Faced with Totsuki's formidable headmaster, the two sisters quickly toned down their playful antics, momentarily subdued.
Alice, watching the scene unfold, shot a smug look at the two sisters, as if to say, "Let's see you act cocky now!"
"So, it's just a food consultant position? I was worried for a second." Leonora breathed a sigh of relief, giving Sui a playful pat on the shoulder. "You're a good boy. But you should be careful in the future. Some shameless women will cling to anyone, pretending they're still youthful and charming. It's utterly disgusting, isn't it?"
Sui was speechless, stunned by his mother-in-law's sudden sharpness in perfect japanese. Was she really this... ruthless?
Leo's words were clearly directed at the Sendawara Sisters, though they were delivered with a smile so sweet and gentle that it only made the sting more biting.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I'm not pretending to be cute! I'm still very young!" Hinako protested with a pout, gently punching Taki in a playful manner.
Taki raised an eyebrow. "Saying that out loud kind of defeats the point," she replied dryly.
With a dejected sigh, she turned to Sonoka and began poking at her friend's chest. "Why me? I didn't even say anything!" Sonoka lamented, caught off guard as Taki half-heartedly vented her frustration.
Sui, sensing the escalating tension, chuckled and said, "No, no, Auntie looks like she's in her early twenties, still youthful! And Hinako-senpai too, of course."
"Oh my, Sui, you're quite the charmer!" Leonora beamed, clearly delighted by the compliment. There's no woman who doesn't enjoy being praised for her beauty and youthfulness.
With a girlish giggle, Leonora happily latched onto Sui's arm, rubbing her cheek against his shoulder, practically glowing with joy. Her actions were so youthful and exuberant, she almost seemed like a young girl in love.
Sui stared at his mother-in-law in bewilderment, his thoughts racing. 'Is this really happening?'
Suddenly, Alice shoved Orie aside and clung to Sui's other arm, flashing a triumphant grin.
"Damn that woman," Orie fumed inwardly. "She's clearly older, yet she acts like a young girl, and her daughter's no better!"
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Miyoko observed the scene with distaste. "As much as I hate to say it, Mrs Leonora is so shameless, clinging to a young man like that in public."
Megumi and Nao, standing nearby, nodded in agreement.
The three girls, who usually butted heads, found themselves united for the first time, bonding over their shared frustration.
"Sui-kun," Orie finally cut in, her voice tinged with jealousy, "since the theme this time is rare ingredients, what kind of dishes have you prepared for us?"
This question piqued the curiosity of all the guests. After all, they had paid a hefty 100,000 yen entrance fee, and they wanted to know what kind of rare ingredients justified such a price.
Moreover, as seasoned food critics, many of them wondered—what could possibly surprise them? They had tasted countless rare ingredients from around the world.
At this, Sui snapped back to his senses and quickly freed himself from the mother-daughter duo's grip. "The dishes should be ready shortly. Tonight's theme is... steamed fish."
"Steamed fish?" The guests exchanged uncertain glances, a wave of disappointment sweeping over them.
The types of fish typically suited for steaming—like bass, catfish, or yellow croaker—hardly seemed worthy of the high price they had paid. These were common ingredients, far from the rare delicacies they had anticipated.
"I could've eaten bluefin tuna to my heart's content for that price," someone muttered under their breath.
Sui smiled, undeterred. "Rest assured, tonight's dishes will not disappoint. I guarantee these are ingredients you've never seen before."
This piqued everyone's interest again. If Sui was making such bold claims in front of Senzaemon, surely he wasn't bluffing. But still, what rare ingredient could possibly surprise a room full of culinary experts?
With a clap of his hands, Sui signaled Megumi and the others to bring in the main course. They wheeled over a large cart, atop which sat a massive steamer.
"What kind of fish requires a steamer that big?" one guest asked, leaning forward in curiosity.
"Indeed, what could it be?" another murmured.
As Sui opened the steamer, a cloud of thick steam billowed out, carrying with it a rich, mouth-watering aroma. The entire room was quickly filled with the scent of freshly cooked fish.
"It smells divine!" someone exclaimed.
"My mouth is watering just from the scent," another guest admitted, swallowing in anticipation.
When the steam finally cleared, the true star of the evening was revealed—a colossal catfish, stretching a full three meters long, lying on an equally enormous plate.
"What kind of fish is that? A giant catfish?"
"But catfish don't usually grow that large, do they?"
"With a body that size, wouldn't the meat be tough?"
The guests gathered around the fish, speculating about its origins and flavor. Even Senzaemon's eyes gleamed with curiosity, intrigued by the unusual dish. Not even he had ever encountered a fish quite like this.
