Chương 103: Relaxing once in a while

As we walked through the streets of Sunagakure, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. The tension from the meeting with Rasa seemed to melt away, and now it was just me, Sakura, and the warmth of the village around us.

Sakura looked up at me, her smile soft and genuine. "It's nice, isn't it?" she said, her voice almost dreamlike.

"Yeah, it really is," I agreed, squeezing her hand gently. "It's good to take a break once in a while. There's been so much going on lately."

We walked through the market area, with the sun shining brightly above us, casting a golden glow over everything. Temari's home and the village were different from Konoha, but there was something beautiful about the desert landscape and the bustling streets.

"Let's get something to eat," I suggested, noticing a small restaurant by the corner of the street. "I'm starving after everything that's happened."

"Good idea," Sakura replied, still smiling as we made our way over. The peaceful atmosphere felt like a nice change of pace, and I was glad we could spend some time together, away from all the stress and responsibilities.

As we sat down, the waitress took our orders, and we chatted about anything and everything. It was moments like this that reminded me of how much I cared about Sakura and how lucky I was to have people by my side who supported me, no matter what.

"So, how are you holding up with everything?" I asked, setting down my cup of tea. "I know things have been a bit intense lately."

Sakura nodded, her expression thoughtful. "I'm okay. I've always believed in you, Naruto. And I'm just happy we're together, no matter what challenges we face."

I reached out and took her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We'll face them together, Sakura. Always."

She smiled again, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "Always, Naruto."

As we sat there, enjoying the moment, I knew that, no matter what came our way, we'd be able to handle it. And that thought made everything seem just a little bit brighter.

As we were enjoying our time, I spotted Temari at the end of the street.

"Temari, over here!" I called out, waving my hand.

The moment she heard my voice, she turned and quickly ran toward me with a smile on her face. "Hey, Naruto," she greeted warmly.

"Come sit here," I gestured to the seat next to me.

Sakura, who had been watching the interaction, raised an eyebrow. "Temari, I didn't know you would accept Naruto's request."

Temari smirked, her arms crossed. "You thought I wouldn't? Well, you accepted it, so what's the difference?"

I quickly intervened before things escalated. "Hey, hey, calm down, both of you. Why are you bickering? Soon you'll both be sisters!" I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

Temari and Sakura both paused for a moment, exchanging glances before they both let out a chuckle, though there was still a hint of playful rivalry in their eyes.

"Well, we better get used to it then," Sakura said, shaking her head, though a smile tugged at her lips.

"Yeah, it's not like we have a choice," Temari replied, sitting down beside me. Her usual sharp demeanor softened slightly, her gaze shifting between Sakura and me. "Besides, Naruto's a handful, but he's worth it."

I raised an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Temari smirked. "You know what I mean, don't play innocent," she teased, nudging me lightly with her elbow.

Sakura rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the small laugh that escaped her. "I guess we'll see how things go, huh?"

"Exactly," I said with a grin. "We'll make it work, no matter what."

The three of us fell into a comfortable silence for a moment, sipping our drinks and enjoying the warmth of the day. It was strange, but I felt like everything was falling into place. Even though we had some complicated relationships to navigate, it was clear that we all cared for each other, and that was what mattered most.

"So," Sakura said after a pause, breaking the silence. "What's next for us? After all the village drama, I feel like we deserve a bit of fun."

I looked between them both, a playful smirk forming on my face. "I'm thinking we take a little detour. Maybe go see the sights around here. It's not every day we get to be in Sunagakure, right?"

Temari raised an eyebrow. "You mean like a tour guide?" she asked, clearly amused.

"Sure, why not?" I shrugged. "A little sightseeing, a little adventure. Let's make the most of it."

Sakura and Temari exchanged a glance, both nodding in agreement. "Alright, let's do it," Sakura said.

With that, we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the village, laughing and joking around. For the first time in a while, everything felt easy. It was just the three of us, enjoying the day, and I couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, we were on the path to something good.

As we prepared to leave the desert village of Sunagakure, I turned to Temari with a serious look. "Temari, after I leave, what are you going to do?" I asked softly.

Her expression faltered, a mix of longing and sadness in her eyes. "I don't know. It's just painful to be apart from you," she admitted, her voice quiet but sincere.

I nodded understandingly and reached into my pouch, pulling out a kunai that I had sealed with a Flying Raijin seal. "Okay, keep this. I'll visit you once a week," I said, handing it to her. She took it, her eyes brightening slightly.

"Both of you ready to head to the Snow Village?" I asked, eager to move on to the next part of the journey.

Temari looked puzzled. "What are you talking about, Naruto? How can we get there? It's so far away."

I chuckled and shook my head. "I told you before. Remember the daimyo of the Land of Snow and the actress?"

"Oh, yeah," she said, her eyes widening in realization. "I remember now."

Sakura, who had been listening quietly, spoke up with excitement. "Then let's go! I want to watch her shoot some scenes!"

I grinned. "Are you both ready?"

They both nodded, eager to go on this adventure with me.

We left Suna behind, and the scenery quickly shifted as I used my teleportation technique. The journey wasn't instantaneous—something I'd need to improve for quicker travel—but it was still a relatively smooth transition.

As we moved through the space between locations, I suddenly realized something. "Oops, I forgot to take sweaters," I thought, mentally kicking myself. However, when we arrived in the Land of Snow, I found that the weather was warmer than I had expected, and I didn't need it after all.

"Looks like it's going to be a pleasant visit," I murmured to myself, feeling a sense of excitement about the unexpected adventure ahead.
