Chương 1: A World Record
After Fang Yuan become the venerable of all paths, the Dao Emperor. He used the blood of all the venerables and the Gu world as fuel to create what he desired, Eternity Gu. Yet chaos felt threatened by eternity and attacked Fang Yuan with all it's might. Even with all his power, Fang Yuan couldn't overcome the black flame as the Gu world was destroyed alongside him.
Then Fang Yuan opened his eyes.
He was in a rather dark enviroment he suspected was a basement or a bunker with faint yellow light illuminating his face. A beautiful woman was crying from happiness, hiding also a hint of sadness in her eyes. She was holding him as if he was the most precious thing in the universe.
"A third chance." Fang Yuan muttered in his head. He had already experienced reincarnation so he quickly caught on.
Then a deep but caring voice of a nearby person was heard. A person with a completely black outfit and a mask with a headband with some symbol on top.
"Madame, we have to leave the city. After you hide, you can spend all the time you want with him."
"He doesn't look like neither his father nor me."
"God must be helping your child madame. After all, he needs to be kept a secret."
While the man in black tried to relieve his mother, Fang Yuan checked his body.
"I didn't expect to be reincarnated with the sovereign immortal body. And I can understand the language too. This is awfully convinient. That might be an advantage of the sovereign immortal body though."
"Let's go Madame" The man said before carrying the mother and the child away.
Fang Yuan observed his surroundings as the ninja took them outside the house, heading out the village which was neither big nor developed. Then Fang Yuan suddenly realized an energy coursing through his body.
"So this is the energy source of this world." He thought inwardly.
He didn't attempt to use his newly found energy as he was vigilant about the masked man or his mother noticing him.
"Considering they weren't suprised that I was born with this power, it seems either they can't or haven't perceived it yet or it is very common. What a generous world"
Shortly afterwards, the ninja took them outside the village to a forest nearby but before they could reach their destination, they were intercepted by several rogue ninja. One of the ninja arrogantly started questioning the ninja protecting them.
"Oh, who are these people to have a mighty Jounin escort them? They surely must fetch a good price." The man said in a mocking tone.
The ninja protecting them didn't even bother answering and attacked the four realising they won't let go. Fang Yuan watched the fight with great interest while his mother desperately tried to run away.
"Even though their fighting is devoid of efficieny, this guy protecting me is stronger than these 4 . It seems 2 fists can beat 4 palms in this world too. Nonetheless, now is my chance."
While the ninja guarding Fang Yuan fought for his and his mother's life, Fang Yuan was glad the man was distracted and started sensing his own chakra. He tried moving it and found it suprisingly easy. Then he got an inspiration and focused the chakra in his eyes.
"So this energy can reinforce my body. That's handy, I don't have to wait to grow up for physical strength."
After applying chakra to his eyes, Fang Yuan could watch the battle more clearly with more information as he could see the rough flow of chakra of the fighting ninjas.
"The guy protecting me has more of this energy than the attackers. I have nearly as much as him too. I will have to find a way to increase this energy if it can't be done naturally. I wouldn't mind slaughtering another clan or two..."
And then the probing stopped as the ninjas transitioned from taijutsu to ninjutsu based attacks. Fang Yuan grinned sinisterly, which would be disturbing for any baby other than himself but Fang Yuan was too beautiful for that.
"So they use element based attacks, It seems my attainments will aid me in this world too. From the looks of it, either these guys are absolute garbage or this world isn't developed in these techniques. I can control this energy better than all of them and I haven't even learned its name."
While Fang Yuan was insulting him, his protector, to Fang Yuan's surprise, used the water clone technique and made 3 clones. The clones each engaged a ninja. Even though the clones were getting overwhelmed, the main body could focus on the weakest opponent now. He first threw multiple shuriken aiming to distract the opponent. While the opponent was deflecting the shuriken, he swiftly went behind him and slit the poor man's throat. Then his protector, baffling Fang Yuan, turned himself to the ninja he killed and approched another ninja as if he came to aid him. He then killed him with a water bullet in a sneak attack before the guy could figure out what was going on. Before he could trick the other two, they beat the clones and realized 2 of their companions lost their lives. The ninja were angry about their friend's death but they were even more terrified and chose to run away. Fang Yuan had some other worries though.
"Split soul? Familiar face?? The work of venerables, the greatest geniuses of hundreds of generations, is getting used by cannon fodder. And the techniques are so simple it's frustrating. The Gu World wasn't so unbalanced."
The man in black took a breather and then hurriedly took the mother and son to a wooden hut in the forest. Then, the man went back to the forest to clear up any tracks of the battle. Meanwhile, his mother was looking at Fang Yuan with loving eyes as she admired his cute face.
"I think I can use my energy while she is present. She has even less energy than those thugs and even if she does notice, she doesn't seem like she would bury me alive. I don't think she will get her eyes off me anytime soon either."
Fang Yuan thought inwardly and then he started circulating his chakra. To his surprise, his mother instantly noticed and frowned a little. But then, she got happy thinking her son was a prodigy.
"Does my cute little baby want to use those magic, does my cute little baby want to become a ninja." she played with him.
Fang Yuan thought his mother wasn't so simple and suddenly, his mother's eyes widened in shock as she noticed the amount of chakra the baby Fang Yuan had.
"This much chakra as a newborn. Neither I or that man can dream of so much. Is my child blessed?"
The mother even had doubt the child wasn't hers yet Fang Yuan felt relief as he heard those words.
"As a newborn huh, so my "chakra" can increase. I guess sovereign immortal body was bound to have way more chakra than anyone. I have to thank Spectral Soul again. It's a shame he has been long dead."
The mother got rid of her doubts soon as she herself had seen her child leaving her womb. Then she felt depressed thinking she can't give her beloved child the opportunities he deserves. Fang Yuan of course realized this instantly and hugged his mother.
"You still have your use woman, I will make you spill everything you know." Fang Yuan said inwardly.
The mother got teary-eyed after her child's hug and hugged her son back with all her love. After the hug, she noticed her child focusing his chakra on different parts of his body and was shocked again
"How can my newborn son even manipulate his chakra, let alone to this degree." But before she could process it, the door opened.
"Ah, are you back Yoshiyo..." She paused.
The mother's eyes suddenly widened in horror. It wasn't their protector who had entered. It was another masked man enter the house. The problem was, the mask was no ordinary mask. It was white with streaks of red on top. The very mask symbolising Konoha's ANBU.
"Anbu, how are yo.."
Before she could finish her sentence, with a swift slash of a kunai, her head fell to the ground.
"This has to be a world record." Fang Yuan thought nonchalantly.
