She pretended to be surprised. "Hi. Yeah. Can you tell me if these people also eat shadow energy? I mean look at these…." She waved her hand to the stall's jewelry. "Shadow things everywhere."

"Seems like nobody in your village ever got high drinking shadow tea."

Shadow tea? She masks her surprise. "No. Mere shadow energy is rare there."

"Do you wanna try shadow tea?" he asked playfully. "Well, I suggest not to. Shadow energy has different types of side effects on different people."

She had seen some. But she hadn't felt it yet. Using shadow energy made her mind more clear.

"Have you tried it?" she asked, arching an eyebrow.

He formed a pretty smile on his face that could make girls swoon. "Yes. More than once. And I had enough." Gazing at her hat, he said, "I think you look better without this. You have pretty hair."

In her new memory, nobody ever pointed at her beauty. Legionaries hardly liked warrior women because they weren't easy to dominate.

She felt lost and confused under his gaze. She couldn't fathom what was going on inside her. She hadn't even noticed her own beauty but beasty strength.
