Emotions swirled inside Lilianna, and she couldn't stop tears from gathering in her eyes.
"Hello," she said, her voice quivering slightly, betraying her composure.
"Are you crying?" Henry's rich and warm voice came through the phone.
"No," Lilianna quickly denied.
"Lili, you are a bad liar, you know," Henry teased gently, a soft chuckle escaping him. He thought she was crying because she missed him.
Unable to hold back the emotions any longer, Lilianna sobbed loudly. "I miss you."
"I miss you too. That's why I came to see you."
Lilianna froze, disbelief and joy crashing together. "Really?" she exclaimed, the earlier tension lifting from her shoulders as a smile spread across her face. "You're in town?"
"Yes, my love. I just landed and will be there soon."
"Wait there…I'll come to pick you up."
"Are you sure?"
