Chương 23: Blood oath

Aiden's POV

I almost had a whiplash as I turned to look at the direction where Chloe's voice was ringing from. 

I sucked in a breath as I looked at her and our eyes met. Her piercing golden eyes were staring at me as if they were burning into my soul. She had on an expression I couldn't read at all. Then, she looked away, her eyes resting on another person in the crowd. 

"She is okay... She is fine... Thank you, moon goddess." I mumbled under my breath, heaving a sigh of relief as I saw that she looked healthy as ever. 

My eyes wandered to her injured arm and I didn't see any traces of injury anymore. I felt so relieved. 

"Greetings, Alpha." Everybody present said and bowed in submission. I quickly collected myself and followed suit.
