Chương 18: The courtesy visit

It was the day of oath-swearing ceremony for the new captives. Since the ceremony would be taking place later in the evening that day, I had thought I would be able to relax well throughout the day as my schedule had been cleared because of the important ceremony. 

However, that wasn't the case. As early as the first cock crowed, accompanied by my Beta Liam, I was on the way to my meeting hall for the discussion of pack politics. The newly crowned Alpha of Moonlight pack had come for a courtesy visit. 

"And he couldn't wait till the day fully break before coming to knock on the door of my territory?" I asked Liam, sounding very irritated. 

"He said he has a lot of appointments for the day but want to start with you first since he holds you in high esteem. His words, not mine." Liam replied to me, sounding like I would be delighted by the information. As if he didn't know me better.
