LIAM
Healing has to start somewhere.
No matter how painful, it has to start. It is worse before it gets better.
I am wandering down the street, wondering how I am going to go back home when rain is back at the hospital.
"Liam?"
I turn around and see my mom, in the back of a car looking at me. She gets off and comes to me.
"Oh honey," she pulls me in for a hug and I let myself lean on her for a minute. I didn't know I needed a hug until I got one.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her once I step back. We are in the hospital lane.
"I came to see how you both were doing."
"You don't need to. You have to take care of Reece, he needs you. I can take care of things here."
"Reece is doing better. He still healing but I had to come see my other son."
"I am fine."
She gives me a tight smile, looking around us. "How about a cup of coffee? I need one and you can keep me company, mmh?"
