Her heart surged with excitement, and she couldn't help but smile with joy.

Hearing this, Ichinose subconsciously showed a look of relief.
'So my best friend didn't fall for the same boy I like. That's a relief.'
However, Ichinose Honami soon looked puzzled. "But, Chihiro-chan, if you don't like Matsuoka-san, then what did you mean by 'right' just now?"

Even without an answer, Ichinose knew that Chihiro's feelings for her were the same kind of affection girls usually have for boys.
It wasn't the typical closeness of best friends or just an ordinary bond between girls.
"Oh, what should I do?" Ichinose sighed, feeling sad. She took out her phone and sent a Line message to Rin.
The message was about the issue with joining the swimming club.
Ichinose wanted to confide in Rin about her situation with Chihiro and ask for advice on how to handle these unusual feelings from her friend.
However, the thought that doing so would mean revealing Chihiro's secret made her hesitate, and she decided against it.
"It's okay. The reason Chihiro-chan has these feelings for me is just because she hasn't met a boy who truly makes her heart skip a beat."
"As long as Chihiro meets someone who makes her heart flutter, she'll realize she still likes boys."
Ichinose was talking to herself, reassuring herself that she could continue getting along with Shiranami Chihiro with a normal attitude.

Reading this message, Ichinose felt a sense of concern from Rin, and a gentle smile appeared on her delicate, fair face.
