Chương 13: Sasuke's amazing discovery
The Anbu Ninja scratched his head, utterly puzzled. In the end, he decided that the big dog must've been super sensitive to Naruto because of the Nine-Tails inside him. That's right—Naruto, the human alarm clock for every canine within a five-mile radius.
Meanwhile, Naruto just kept walking, cool as ever, heading towards the ninja school like nothing happened.
But deep down, Naruto knew exactly why the dog freaked out. It wasn't just the Nine-Tails—nope, it was that sweet Saiyan blood pumping through his veins. With 30 drops of Saiyan blood, Naruto hadn't noticed any major changes in himself yet, but he could feel the subtle perks kicking in. Like scaring off overly friendly dogs and feeling people watching him from miles away.
Still, one thing was bugging Naruto. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't refine that mystical "Ki" energy. Instead, he kept pulling out more chakra than a battery-powered Rasengan toy in Boruto, and it was getting annoying.
He wondered just how much Saiyan blood he'd need to finally start harnessing Ki. Maybe it was time to unlock the data panel to check his stats, Naruto thought. After all, it might help him figure out if he was just a few drops away from becoming a Super Saiyan or if he needed to chug more blood like a vampire.
With a plan in mind, Naruto sped up and soon arrived at the school. As he entered the classroom, he realized the place was already packed. Clearly, being fashionably late wasn't a ninja skill he had mastered yet.
Ignoring the stares from his classmates, Naruto plopped down at his desk. That's when he noticed something unusual sticking out of his desk pocket.
Curious, he pulled out the object and found a set of ninja gear—kunai, shurikens, and even some bandages. Along with the ninja tools, there was a small note tucked inside the bag.
Naruto unfolded the note and read it:
"Naruto, thank you for your drawings and statues. I really like them. This is my gift to you—Hinata."
Naruto couldn't help but grin. He turned around and glanced at Hinata, who was sitting quietly in the back row. When their eyes met, Naruto playfully winked at her.
Hinata, predictably, turned as red as a tomato and buried her face in her hands, too shy to look at him again.
Ding! Experience +1.
Naruto chuckled. Who knew winking could earn him experience points? He started to wonder if he could rack up more points by winking at everyone in class. But then, the image of him winking at Sasuke popped into his head, and he quickly reconsidered.
Still, the idea of annoying Sasuke for experience points seemed too tempting to pass up. So, Naruto turned to the brooding Uchiha, who was sitting nearby, and stared at him with a mischievous look.
Sasuke, who was deep in thought, noticed Naruto's gaze and frowned. "What do you want?"
"Oh, nothing," Naruto replied casually, blinking at Sasuke for good measure.
Sasuke blinked back, confused. "Are you... blinking at me?"
Ding! Experience +1. Ding! Experience +1.
Naruto grinned wider as he kept blinking. Sasuke, on the other hand, started to feel creeped out. "Okay, seriously, what's wrong with you?"
Naruto shrugged nonchalantly. "Just practicing my blink game."
Sasuke decided it was best to ignore whatever Naruto was up to. He turned away, feeling a bit uncomfortable, like he'd just been challenged to a staring contest by a weirdo.
With Sasuke no longer paying attention, Naruto sighed and gave up on his blinking experiment. That's when Sakura, sitting nearby, leaned over and whispered, "Naruto, can you teach me how to carve wood? Your carvings are amazing!"
Naruto shook his head immediately. "Nope, sorry. It's not something you can just learn, Sakura. It takes talent and patience."
"But I work hard!" Sakura insisted, looking determined.
Naruto smirked. "Hard work is great, but if hard work alone could do it, then why would we need geniuses?"
Sakura pouted. "Naruto, you're being mean. Don't you care about a girl's feelings?"
Naruto grinned slyly. "Oh, I do. It's just that your annoyed face is really entertaining."
"Na-ru-to!" Sakura growled, her fists clenched in frustration. But with Sasuke sitting nearby, she restrained herself, not wanting to lose her cool.
Ding! Experience +1.
Naruto chuckled to himself. "Why so quiet, Sakura? Giving up already?"
Sakura's eyes lit up with a glimmer of hope. "Does that mean you'll teach me?"
"Nope!" Naruto replied with a straight face.
Sakura's temper flared again, and she raised her fist, ready to land a punch. But just as her fist came down, Naruto's hand shot up and caught her wrist effortlessly.
Ding! Experience +1.
Naruto looked at her calmly. "Violence doesn't suit you, Sakura. You should try being more like Hinata—cute and gentle."
Sakura huffed and pulled her hand away, shooting Naruto a glare before deciding to ignore him altogether. Meanwhile, Sasuke couldn't help but frown, his thoughts racing.
That speed... Naruto's reflexes were faster than he'd ever seen. Could it be that Naruto had been hiding his true strength all along? Sasuke's suspicions grew as he silently watched Naruto, wondering what other secrets the class clown might be hiding.
