••• Charlotte’s POV •••
The drive back to the Moon Crest Pack was silent.
The moment I entered Theo’s car and put on the seatbelt, I leaned back and closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep.
My mind and heart were in a mess because of Hayden, and I was in no mood to talk to anyone.
I hoped Theo didn't suspect anything because if he knew what I was thinking or feeling, it wouldn't be good for us, and it would be unfair to him.
I didn't want to anger or make him misunderstand my relationship with Hayden or even my feelings for him.
I had nothing to do with Hayden anymore. I didn't have any feelings for Hayden anymore.
I repeated those words in my mind, trying to hypnotize myself to stop thinking about what happened with Hayden tonight.
Soon, I felt the car stop and felt Theo’s hand on my shoulder, shaking it gently to ‘wake’ me up. “Lottie, we are here.”
I opened my eyes slowly, blinking and looking daze, pretending to just have been woken up.
