When Lin Haocheng read the clause stating he couldn't charge any fees, he froze in disbelief.
"Is this even human?" he asked his manager, Feng, who sat beside him. "My endorsement fees are worth billions per deal, yet Fu Hanchuan expects me to do this for free. Is there really such a ludicrously one-sided deal in the world?"
His manager cast him a disdainful glance. "Can you refuse? Do you dare?"
Lin Haocheng's face stiffened.
It seemed he couldn't refuse.
And he definitely didn't dare.
In a tentative voice, barely above a whisper, he asked, "Brother Feng, do you think the company could, you know, say no to this? I mean, taking on this endorsement without earning a single penny is such a loss."
"Ha," Feng scoffed icily. "Go ahead and ask them yourself. If they support you, I'll eat my words and let you do as you please."
Lin Haocheng deflated entirely.
"Forget it, forget it."
