Behind the walls of the closet, Lucy held her breath.

It was her fault for letting his gentleness and affection cloud her mind and letting his presence walk all over her until she fell deep into their charades.

And he had every right to choose the one he had loved over her, the woman he had paid to play the role of his wife just to make Yvonne return to him.

But Landon had no right to trespass on her best friend's home. She had never seen him like this. Not even when Yvonne tried to hide from him when she first returned to the country.
