HEATH TENSED as his arms instinctively slipped around Luella's waist and wrapped on it tightly. This didn't go unnoticed by Luella. But she said nothing as they both turned around to see the person that spoke to them.

Luella's eyes widened as she realized her mistake. It was the imperial concubine. She immediately spread the sides of her grown acting to curtsy and apologize to her.

She had been in the palace, and she didn't think to go greet the emperor nor the imperial concubine. That was a ground of insult to the family. 

Luella had completely forgotten because of her time with Heath, in the library, and just everything that happened as a whole in just the span of barely a full day.
