Tasked with defending the rear of the steadily moving, evil spirit-repelling formation of men, Leon occasionally glanced back to ensure nothing unclean was creeping up on them from behind.
Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and turned around, focusing intently on the strange sight he had caught a glimpse of when he turned around just now.
"What the hell is that?"
The space between two trees, about 100 feet away from his position, was bathed in an ominous red glow.
It was an eerie and unsettling sight, and Leon had no words to explain it.
As he focused on the red glow, a chill ran down his spine, and his heart was gripped with the sensation of dread.
His eyes widened in shock as a realization struck him like a lightning bolt.
"It's a warning."
This was a clear indication that the red glow wasn't a paranormal phenomenon. Otherwise, it wouldn't have appeared to warn him. It would've appeared to harm him.
Thanks for the power stone everyone! Here's a bonus chapter to show my appreciation.
