Chương 246: Chapter 246: The Heavenly Transport Jutsu Isn't Worth My Susanoo

At this moment, Akira Uchiha wasn't in the best of moods.

Why? Because in order to master the Heavenly Transport Jutsu, he had to keep burning cash.

Do you understand what that means? Every time, a whopping ten million ryo gone.

He had no choice, really. He hadn't known earlier that he would need to learn this jutsu. If he had known back when it only cost a million ryo per simulation, he could've saved himself a fortune!

So now, with nothing to do but wait for his daily life simulations, Akira spent most of his time being cozy with Hinata.

And Sasuke? Well, he kept a close eye on Akira, watching as he spent three whole days courting Hinata, and found it utterly strange.

Weren't they supposed to be training hard to master the Heavenly Transport Jutsu? Yet these past few days, all he saw was Akira indulging in romance.

One night, Sasuke waited until Akira returned home late, after another date with Hinata.

"Still awake?" Akira greeted him, sounding a bit tipsy.

He really couldn't deny it—Hinata was usually so shy, but after a few drinks, with the tipsiness setting in, she loosened up quite a bit. No wonder guys back in his previous life liked taking girls out for drinks so much.

"I've been waiting for you," Sasuke replied.

"Oh? What's up?" Akira asked, surprised.

"It's about the Heavenly Transport Jutsu. You said you were going to learn it, but Iwagakure will be under attack in just two days!" Sasuke voiced his concern.

"Well, I can't help it, can I? My fifteenth birthday is in two days, and Hinata wanted to celebrate with me early. It makes sense, doesn't it?" Akira replied.

"Oh, uh... happy birthday then!" Sasuke stammered, realizing he'd forgotten. He couldn't help but be amazed. Only fifteen, yet already possessing power that could dominate the shinobi world?

It was hard to believe.

"Thanks," Akira nodded. He had been in this world for a while now, but he'd forgotten his own birthday—Hinata had remembered, and that touched him.

"Wait, hold on. Why celebrate early? Why not celebrate on your actual birthday?" Sasuke suddenly realized something was off.

"Well, duh, we'll be heading to Iwagakure in two days, remember?" Akira rolled his eyes.

"Wait, you... you've already mastered the Heavenly Transport Jutsu?" Sasuke was taken aback.

"Not fully, but after the past few days of effort, I'm almost there," Akira said with a confident nod.

Hearing this, Sasuke's face darkened, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

Effort these past few days? All Sasuke had seen was Akira goofing off. How was that effort?

"Alright then. I hope you can make it in time," Sasuke finally said, deciding to trust in Akira's reputation despite his doubts.

"Sure thing. You should get some rest too," Akira said, waving it off. They had talked enough; he was ready to call it a night.

Effort? Ha, every simulation cost ten million ryo. Of course, he was putting in the effort.

"Hey, wait..." Just as Akira turned to leave, Sasuke called out again.

Hearing him, Akira stopped, turning back with a questioning look.

"Akira, don't you think there's something special about you? It feels like your existence is unique," Sasuke said.

Since Akira knew about him and Boruto, Sasuke believed Akira must be aware of his own uniqueness too.

But Akira simply smiled at Sasuke's words without replying, waving goodbye as he turned and walked away.

Watching Akira leave, Sasuke couldn't help but feel that this world held many secrets.

He only grasped the concept of a parallel universe because of Akira's existence. If not for the divergence Akira had caused, Sasuke might have thought he'd merely traveled through time, not to an entirely different world.

And Akira? There was no Akira in his original timeline, yet here he was. Everyone knew him as the Elder's grandson, watched him grow, and saw his Sharingan evolve step by step into the Mangekyō Sharingan.

It left Sasuke bewildered.

Just who exactly was Akira Uchiha? And what role did this shinobi world play for him?

Not to mention the Heavenly Transport Jutsu—a technique that Konoha clearly didn't have. And yet Akira said he could learn it, even though he had spent the past few days just romancing Hinata?

The more Sasuke learned about Akira, the more he realized how many secrets this guy had.

So, after watching Akira leave, Sasuke shook his head, putting his thoughts aside as he headed back to his room to rest.

Though this wasn't his timeline, he couldn't let Urashiki get his hands on the Nine-Tails. He had to give it his all to stop him.

So regardless of how mysterious or powerful Akira was, at least he was an ally, not an enemy, right?

With that thought, Sasuke decided not to dwell on Akira's origins anymore and returned to his guest room to sleep.

The night passed uneventfully. The next day, Akira opened his eyes and immediately conducted another life simulation. As always, his focus was on mastering the jutsu.

As for Urashiki? Akira stayed in hiding, training in the Heavenly Transport Jutsu.

Madara's revival? Akira still didn't make an appearance, continuing his training.

People accused him of being cowardly, of shrinking away from enemies instead of facing them. Akira didn't argue, staying hidden and continuing to train.

Only two years later, when Hinata was kidnapped by Toneri Ōtsutsuki, did Akira finally have enough and come out to fight.

And then he died at the hands of Toneri's Golden Reincarnation Explosion.

Once, twice, three times...

After five or six simulations, finally, though Akira was ultimately killed by Toneri again, he had managed to fully master the Heavenly Transport Jutsu.

Now that he had learned it, he checked the date—tomorrow was the day Urashiki would make his move.

Instead of rushing off, Akira decided to celebrate his fifteenth birthday properly at home in Konoha.

When the others found out about his birthday, Kakashi, young Sasuke, Naruto, Guy, the Sannin, and even the Hokage himself all came to offer their congratulations. The Hyuga Clan also sent a lavish gift.

Sure, Hinata had already given him a gift, but it was different when the Hyuga Clan publicly gave a gift to their future son-in-law.

After this birthday celebration, it was clear to everyone in Konoha what Akira's relationship with Hinata was.

"Hey, big bro, are you really not into Miss Hinata at all?" Boruto, perhaps the only one struggling to accept the reality, asked Naruto.

"Not at all, not one bit," Naruto replied firmly.

What nonsense. Not only did he genuinely have no feelings for Hinata, but even if he did, she was Akira's girlfriend now. How could he possibly try to take her away?

Regardless of Boruto's thoughts, Akira enjoyed a lively fifteenth birthday celebration.

Afterward, Akira and Sasuke agreed to set off for Iwagakure the next day.

They also informed Fugaku of their plan.

Fugaku was understandably surprised. A week ago, Akira had said Iwagakure would be under attack. These past days, Akira hadn't made a move, so Fugaku thought he wasn't going.

But now, just as the time arrived, Akira suddenly said he would go?

One day—how could that possibly be enough time?

"Don't worry, the two of us will go together. We'll use the Heavenly Transport Jutsu to teleport directly," Akira assured him.

"Heavenly Transport Jutsu? Isn't that Kumogakure's secret technique? And wasn't it meant for materials, not people?" Fugaku asked in astonishment.

Akira simply smiled at Fugaku's question, offering no further explanation.

After a night's rest, the next day, Akira performed another life simulation, holding off on collecting the reward.

Then, he created a few Shadow Clones to assist in using the Heavenly Transport Jutsu.

Akira and Sasuke stood in the teleportation circle. Sasuke immediately summoned his Susanoo for protection.

The Heavenly Transport Jutsu was incredibly powerful. If one's body wasn't strong enough, it would disintegrate during the teleportation. So Sasuke used his Susanoo to shield himself.

"Akira, aren't you going to do something?" Sasuke asked, puzzled to see Akira taking no similar precautions.

"Relax. My body's stronger than the Raikage's. I'll be fine," Akira replied with a confident smile.

In the original story, even the Raikage could endure the effects of the Heavenly Transport Jutsu. There was no reason for someone like Akira, with his dragon-like physique, to struggle with it. With his Shadow Clones casting the jutsu, in a flash of light, Akira and Sasuke vanished...

Chương 247: Chapter 247: The Arrival of Otsutsuki

They say a country cannot go a day without a leader, and for Iwagakure, this certainly holds true. The Five Great Shinobi Nations are like the "Big Five" of the ninja world.

Though Iwagakure is just a village, it's the entire military power of the Land of Earth. When you think about it, this kind of leadership—the head of a military force equivalent to a country's ruler—isn't so different from being a monarch.

After the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki, was killed and his funeral concluded, discussions regarding the succession of the Fourth Tsuchikage began to stir in Iwagakure.

Unlike an imperial title that must be passed from father to son, the position of Tsuchikage isn't inherited so directly. While Onoki's most capable daughter, Kurotsuchi, had a legitimate claim to the title, both the Jinchuriki of the Four-Tails, Roshi, and the Jinchuriki of the Five-Tails, Han, also declared their intent to compete for the seat of the Fourth Tsuchikage.

After much tension, Kurotsuchi publicly declared that Iwagakure could not afford to endure any large-scale internal conflict.

If they fought over the Tsuchikage position, whoever won would still leave Iwagakure in a weakened state. No one would want to inherit a diminished nation. Therefore, Kurotsuchi suggested the three of them have a public duel, with the victor becoming the Fourth Tsuchikage.

After some consideration, the two Jinchuriki agreed to this proposal. First, refusing would imply a lack of confidence in their own abilities. Second, they genuinely didn't want to win only to find themselves ruling over the ruins of Iwagakure.

Today was, without a doubt, the most significant day for Iwagakure.

Many Jonin, clan leaders, and even civilians gathered to watch the battle between the three contenders. Who would ultimately come out victorious? What would the outcome of this match be like?

In any case, today was the day the Fourth Tsuchikage would be decided.

Kitsuchi, the son of the Third Tsuchikage, originally also had the right to compete for the title of Tsuchikage. However, his straightforward nature made him unsuitable for the role—a fact that was agreed upon by all of Iwagakure, including Kitsuchi himself. As such, he chose not to participate in the competition for the Fourth Tsuchikage.

Kitsuchi looked at his sister Kurotsuchi, alongside Roshi and Han, standing ready in a triangular formation. Once they appeared prepared, he finally spoke up, loudly announcing, "I hereby declare the competition for the Fourth Tsuchikage to begin!"

As Kitsuchi's voice fell, crimson chakra began to surge from Roshi's body. He instantly donned the Tailed Beast Cloak. In response, Han also released his Tailed Beast Chakra.

The two Jinchuriki both unleashed their Tailed Beast Chakra from the start.

Kurotsuchi, however, did not back down in the slightest. She quickly gathered her chakra, keeping a close eye on the two Jinchuriki before her.

Meanwhile, everyone in Iwagakure held their breath, their eyes locked on the battle ahead.

Who would emerge victorious?

Swoosh!

Just as the tension reached its peak, a beam of light suddenly shot down from the sky, as if piercing through heaven and earth.

Moments later, two figures appeared within the beam of light before all the onlookers in Iwagakure.

Sasuke, dressed in mature attire, stood with a single arm, a Kusanagi sword at his waist. Beside him stood Akira Uchiha, silently observing the scene, his dragon horns atop his head making him especially conspicuous.

"Is that... Akira Uchiha!?" As Sasuke and Akira appeared, everyone in Iwagakure was shocked.

Even Roshi and Han were taken aback at the sight of Akira.

After all, Akira had only recently come to Iwagakure to extort them. It hadn't been long since that incident. The entire village had been transformed into a lush green area by Akira—a significant change brought about by his power.

"Akira Uchiha, what are you doing here in Iwagakure?" Kurotsuchi asked, her eyes narrowed as she stared warily at him.

Everyone's attention turned to Akira at that moment.

Even Roshi and Han, who had been preparing for battle, ceased their actions and focused on Akira.

What was his reason for coming to Iwagakure?

As Jinchuriki, both Roshi and Han had confidence in their strength. However, Akira's power made it difficult for them to muster any will to resist.

Just looking at the green forest that now surrounded Iwagakure made it clear what he was capable of.

"My reason for being here is simple—I'm here to save people," Akira said calmly, making it clear that he meant no harm.

"Save people?" Kurotsuchi repeated, confused, as the others around her exchanged puzzled glances.

However, remembering what Akira had done in Sunagakure, Kurotsuchi seemed to understand something. "Do you mean the Akatsuki are planning another attack on Iwagakure?"

Her words sent a wave of shock through those gathered from Iwagakure.

On one hand, there was an undercurrent of anger. The Third Tsuchikage had already died during an Akatsuki attack. And now the Akatsuki were planning to attack again? Did they really see Iwagakure as easy prey?

On the other hand, fear gripped them.

The Third Tsuchikage had died at the hands of the Akatsuki. Who could stop them this time?

As news of a potential Akatsuki attack spread, Iwagakure's forces were filled with both fury and apprehension.

Everyone wanted revenge for the Third Tsuchikage, but the Akatsuki's power was terrifying.

"It's not the Akatsuki, but the attacker is even more dangerous," Akira said, shaking his head.

The first half of his statement provided some relief. As long as it wasn't the Akatsuki, perhaps there was hope. But hearing Akira say the attacker was even more dangerous left the people of Iwagakure stunned, unable to believe what they had heard.

Someone stronger than the Akatsuki?

Just the Akatsuki alone was terrifying enough. Could there really be someone out there more powerful than them?

"Regardless, thank you for your assistance. But your companion here, he seems unfamiliar. What should we call him?" Kurotsuchi asked, turning her gaze to Sasuke.

"This is my friend, and he's here to help. His strength is equal to mine," Akira replied.

His words sent another shock through Iwagakure's people.

How could that be? Someone with strength equal to Akira's? Akira's power was widely regarded as among the strongest in the shinobi world.

Could this stranger truly be on the same level?

"Is he just bluffing? Is this guy really as strong as Akira?"

"I doubt it. He's probably just being polite to his friend."

"Exactly, I mean, just look at the forest around Iwagakure—there can't be many people in this world capable of such feats."

"Yeah, I think with Akira's current power, even the leader of the Akatsuki would struggle to match him."

The people of Iwagakure whispered among themselves, most doubting Sasuke's capabilities.

Sasuke remained composed, ignoring the murmurs around him. Akira, however, shot a quick glance at Sasuke, amused.

Sasuke in his younger days would have been arrogant and defiant at hearing such doubts. He was known for his swagger and pride. But now, as a man in his thirties, Sasuke showed no reaction at all.

Fifteen or sixteen years old—that had been his prime for showing off. Now, at thirty-something, things had certainly changed.

As for Sasuke's strength?

Akira believed he wasn't inferior to himself, and that was the truth. With one Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and another Rinnegan with nine tomoe, Sasuke's power was undoubtedly at a "Super Kage" level—if not Six Paths level.

Considering his abilities, it was only natural to say he wasn't weaker than Akira.

Reaching the Six Paths level was rare. In the original timeline, only Sasuke and Naruto had briefly achieved this level when they were blessed with the Sage of Six Paths' powers—one gaining the Yin Power and the other the Yang Power. After the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Naruto's Truth-Seeking Balls were never seen again...

Regardless of what Akira was contemplating, with his arrival, the battle for the Fourth Tsuchikage was put on hold.

After waiting for about an hour, Urashiki Otsutsuki finally appeared.
