A massive crimson figure appeared, speeding toward Hinata at an incredible pace!
"Look out!" the three priestesses of Ryūchi Cave shouted in alarm.
Hinata was Akira's girlfriend. If she were to be seriously injured in Ryūchi Cave, how could they possibly explain it to him?
Just as the three priestesses were about to step in and help, a crisis was averted. Hinata's eyes suddenly emitted a deep, blue glow, and immense ocular power surged from her. She raised her hand, and, as if using the force of Shinra Tensei, a powerful repelling force erupted from her body!
The three priestesses were caught off guard by the sheer power of Hinata's release and were knocked back several paces.
As for the massive crimson snake that had charged towards her in a frenzy, it was flung through the air, crashing into the ground and rolling several times before coming to a halt. It shook its head, its single eye filled with confusion as if it had been utterly dazed by the blow.
Clearly, the impact had left the creature reeling!
"What... was that power?" Hinata looked down at her hand, astonished. The blue glow of the Tenseigan had faded, returning her eyes to their usual white state.
Even Hinata herself was shocked by the power she had just unleashed in that moment of danger.
"Roooar!" After shaking its head, the crimson snake—Garaga—seemed to regain its senses. Fixing its single eye on Hinata, it let out an angry, deafening roar, its gaze filled with fury.
"Garaga, stand down!" Tanshin Hime moved quickly, positioning herself between the giant snake and Hinata. Her voice was stern and commanding.
"Damn it, I'll devour her!" Garaga growled in response, its temper flaring once again. The blow from before had left it furious, and now it glared at Hinata, its words filled with rage.
"She is Lord Akira's girlfriend—you cannot touch her!" Tanshin Hime shouted, scolding Garaga for its recklessness.
"I don't care who she is! She dared knock me down—I'll eat her, no matter who she is!" Garaga bellowed, its wrath unrelenting.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! I was startled, and I acted on impulse," Hinata stepped forward, her innate kindness showing as she tried to apologize to the enraged creature.
"Hmph! You think an apology is enough after knocking me out like that? I'm going to swallow you whole!" Garaga roared, refusing to back down from its anger.
"Huh? What's going on over here?" Akira, having just left the White Snake Sage's temple, heard the commotion and hurried over with a quick flash step.
When he arrived, he saw Hinata trying to apologize to Garaga, while the snake continued to threaten her with talk of devouring her.
"What happened here?" Akira asked, his voice calm but commanding as he stepped onto the scene.
"Lord Akira, it's nothing serious—just a misunderstanding!" Tanshin Hime quickly replied, trying to downplay the situation.
"A misunderstanding? I heard this guy over here saying he wants to swallow Hinata," Akira's eyes shifted towards the crimson snake. He recognized its single red eye and the reverse scales on its body. This was Garaga, the very same creature that appeared in Boruto.
Though Akira didn't fully consider Boruto to be a continuation of Naruto, it was clear this snake had appeared earlier in his timeline.
"Akira, it really was a misunderstanding. The snake suddenly rushed at me, and I panicked. I accidentally knocked it back," Hinata explained, worried that Akira might escalate the situation.
"Oh? You managed to knock it back?" Akira was surprised as he glanced at Hinata.
While Hinata was a capable shinobi, she was still around the level of a Jonin. Garaga was a massive creature—how had she managed to throw it so far?
"I'm not sure what happened... I was just scared, and suddenly, I felt this immense power surge out of me," Hinata admitted, clearly still puzzled by her own strength.
Hinata gestured towards the open space nearby, as if trying to summon the power again. But no matter how hard she tried, the surge of energy from earlier didn't return.
"Lord Akira, earlier, Lady Hinata's eyes turned blue, and then an invisible force burst out from her, even knocking us back," Ichikishima Hime added, explaining the details to Akira.
"Yes! Her Byakugan changed!" Tanshin Hime and Takitsuhime both nodded in agreement.
"Her eyes turned blue, huh? It seems, in a moment of panic, she managed to briefly tap into the power of the Tenseigan," Akira thought to himself.
Normally, Hinata's chakra levels were only around that of a Jonin, far too low to fully utilize the Tenseigan's abilities. However, in life-threatening moments, it seemed she could access the power temporarily as a defense mechanism.
So, Akira's earlier hypothesis was correct. Hinata would only be able to harness the Tenseigan's full power once she had the chakra reserves of a Kage-level shinobi.
"You were boasting about swallowing Hinata, weren't you? Well, here's your chance. Let's see if you have what it takes," Akira said, addressing Garaga directly.
He was curious to see Hinata's Tenseigan in action and wanted to witness her full potential.
"Akira, I..." Hinata hesitated, unsure about fighting Garaga again. She lacked confidence in her ability to defeat the giant snake.
"Don't worry. I'm right here. Take this opportunity to get familiar with the power of your Tenseigan," Akira reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
As soon as he finished speaking, Akira's eyes shifted into the Mangekyō Sharingan. In an instant, he activated his ocular jutsu, bestowing Ryūchi Cave's Sage Mode upon Hinata.
With this jutsu in effect, Hinata immediately understood how to tap into Ryūchi Cave's natural energy and activate Sage Mode.
Taking a deep breath, within a matter of seconds, Hinata drew in a massive amount of natural energy. The energy swirled around her like returning birds, and her entire body was soon enveloped in a blue chakra flame, giving her an ethereal, otherworldly appearance.
"This is... Sage Mode?" The three priestesses stared in shock.
They knew that Akira had mastered Sage Mode, but how had Hinata, who had just signed the Ryūchi Cave contract and was visiting for the first time, managed to activate it?
And not just activate it—her mastery seemed incredibly advanced!
It was hard to believe. Was this Akira's doing? How incredible must his powers be, if he could not only master Sage Mode himself but also impart it to others?
While the three priestesses stood in awe, Hinata's chakra surged, elevating her to Kage-level strength.
Along with this chakra surge, her eyes shifted once more, glowing a bright blue with swirling, star-like patterns.
It was the full awakening of the Tenseigan!
"This... this power... it's amazing!" Hinata exclaimed in awe as she looked down at herself, her hands trembling slightly as she marveled at the immense power coursing through her.
It was hard to tell if she was more in awe of the Sage Mode or the power of the Tenseigan—or perhaps both at once.
"As I suspected! With Sage Mode, Hinata's Tenseigan is fully activated," Akira thought, his eyes widening with excitement.
It seemed that his Mangekyō Sharingan's ocular ability, allowing him to bestow Sage Mode, was truly powerful and versatile.
He couldn't help but wonder just how strong Hinata would become with her blue Tenseigan, similar to that of Toneri Ōtsutsuki. In the original story, Toneri's Tenseigan granted incredible abilities.
With the Tenseigan Chakra Mode, Toneri could release Truth-Seeking Balls, harness the power of Yin-Yang Release, control gravitational forces strong enough to move celestial bodies, manipulate space, absorb chakra, and even give life to puppets.
Not to mention, he could summon the statue of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, launch powerful chakra spheres, and perform techniques like Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, which sliced the moon in half.
Now, with her own blue Tenseigan, what abilities might Hinata be able to unlock?
Akira's gaze was filled with anticipation as he watched Hinata.
"This... this power..." Garaga, though still filled with anger, now looked at Hinata with a newfound wariness, his single eye reflecting fear.
Despite his volatile nature, Garaga was not stupid. He could sense the immense power now emanating from Hinata. She was not someone to be trifled with.
Yet, despite his fear, Garaga couldn't back down. He had already declared his intent. To cower now would be to lose face.
Roaring once again, Garaga steeled his resolve and charged towards Hinata...

As Garaga charged toward her, Hinata remained calm, simply raising her hand in response.
With just a thought, a repelling force stopped Garaga in his tracks.
The massive snake's body arched, clearly straining with all its strength to lunge at her. However, the immense repelling force blocked its advance, preventing it from getting closer.
Hinata's palm then shifted, and the repelling force became a pulling force. With a simple move, she redirected Garaga's charge, sending him flying off to the side in a smooth arc.
As the heiress of the Hyuga Clan, Hinata had grown up with the philosophy of Gentle Fist, and naturally, she understood the concept of "using four ounces to move a thousand pounds"—a technique that relied on redirecting an opponent's force.
Watching this play out, Akira silently nodded in approval of her smooth, taijutsu-inspired moves.
Garaga, however, grew even more furious. Letting out another enraged roar, he lunged at her again.
Hinata continued using the combination of pulling and pushing forces, similar to the techniques used by Pain's Deva Path. Each time Garaga charged at her, Hinata skillfully redirected him, causing him to crash into the ground over and over.
One time. Two times. Three times...
Each time, Garaga missed his target and found himself sent crashing elsewhere. At first, Garaga had been furious, but after being thrown a dozen times, even his stubbornness couldn't hide the truth—he was no match for Hinata.
The invisible force that deflected him time after time was impossible for him to counter.
After being thrown a dozen times, Garaga began circling Hinata, searching for an opening or a weakness. However, he no longer dared to recklessly charge at her again.
"Hinata, if you pluck Garaga's reverse scale, he'll become much more docile," Takitsuhime called out from the sidelines.
At these words, Garaga's entire body tensed up in alarm.
Hinata glanced toward Akira, her expression questioning.
"It's up to you," Akira replied with a smile, offering no further guidance.
"I think pulling out his reverse scale would hurt him. If it's part of him, it should stay that way," Hinata said softly, her kind nature showing through.
"I told you—it's your choice," Akira responded with a smile, showing support for Hinata's decision.
He then glanced at Garaga's reverse scale, feeling a sense of curiosity.
Snakes didn't typically have reverse scales—only dragons did. Yet here was Garaga, a snake with a reverse scale, and the only one in Ryūchi Cave at that.
That was strange, to say the least.
Akira didn't care much about how Boruto tied into the original Naruto story, but since Garaga was the summon of Boruto, he supposed that the snake must have some unique traits.
Garaga, meanwhile, had been thoroughly humbled by Hinata's demonstration of power. Seeing that she had no intention of pulling out his reverse scale, Garaga let out a quiet sigh of relief and even felt a glimmer of gratitude toward her.
"Well? Are you willing to become Hinata's summoning beast?" Akira asked once Garaga had calmed down.
After a brief pause, Garaga nodded. "I am."
"Good. It seems you've gained yourself a powerful ally," Akira said, nodding in approval.
With that, Akira deactivated his Mangekyō Sharingan, and the bestowed Sage Mode faded from Hinata. As her Sage Mode disappeared, the Tenseigan also receded, and her eyes returned to their normal Byakugan state.
With her chakra now synced with Garaga's, Hinata had accomplished her goal of coming to Ryūchi Cave.
"Hinata, if you ever need help, you can summon me as well," Takitsuhime suddenly offered, stepping forward.
"Really? Thank you so much!" Hinata responded, astonished by the generous offer.
The three priestesses were the second-highest-ranking beings in Ryūchi Cave, just below the White Snake Sage, and each one had Kage-level strength. Having Takitsuhime as a potential summon was an incredible boon for Hinata.
"Well, well, it seems Takitsuhime is quite accommodating," Akira remarked, somewhat surprised by her offer.
Of course, Akira was pleased with this development.
Now, Hinata had two powerful summoning options—Garaga and Takitsuhime.
Afterward, the three priestesses inquired about the White Snake Sage, and upon hearing that the sage was currently contemplating the path of transformation into a dragon, they expressed their delight.
As the sage's loyal priestesses, the transformation of the White Snake Sage would benefit them greatly as well.
With that settled, Akira and Hinata continued to stroll through Ryūchi Cave.
The three priestesses, sensing the couple wanted some alone time, wisely excused themselves.
"Why did you offer to be Hinata's summoning beast?" Ichikishima Hime asked Takitsuhime after they had walked away.
"Yeah, I thought we agreed that we all wanted to be Akira's summons?" Ichikishima added, puzzled.
"I simply liked Hinata's strength and her kind nature," Takitsuhime answered casually.
"That's it? Well, I guess that makes sense," Ichikishima Hime responded, nodding in understanding.
However, Tanshin Hime remained suspicious, eyeing Takitsuhime warily.
Was she really helping Hinata just because she found her likeable?
Snakes weren't known for their kindness, so the idea of liking a gentle person didn't quite fit. Of course, Ichikishima was quick to accept the explanation, but Tanshin Hime was more skeptical.
Still, there was no solid evidence to prove Takitsuhime had ulterior motives, so Tanshin Hime kept her suspicions to herself.
"You two are so naive," Takitsuhime thought to herself with an inward smirk.
Though they hadn't spent much time together, Takitsuhime had already noticed that Akira was quite loyal to those he loved.
If she wanted to have any chance of getting closer to him, she needed a different approach.
Perhaps, through Hinata, she could gain favor.
If she could win Hinata over, her chances of getting what she wanted from Akira—including his powerful bloodline—would increase significantly.
At least, her odds would be better than those of Ichikishima Hime and Tanshin Hime, who were both still direct competitors for Akira's attention.
As Takitsuhime kept her thoughts to herself, Akira and Hinata walked hand in hand, continuing their conversation about the Tenseigan.
"So, what other abilities do you have with the Tenseigan, besides controlling repelling and pulling forces?" Akira asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Other abilities? I don't think I have any others right now," Hinata replied, shaking her head.
"So, it seems the Tenseigan can only manipulate repulsion and attraction at the moment?" Akira mused to himself, piecing together what he had learned.
"Could it be a chakra limitation?"
He suspected that Hinata's current chakra reserves were too low to fully unleash the Tenseigan's true power.
It was also possible that she had only just awakened the Tenseigan and still needed time to unlock all of its abilities.
However, Akira leaned more toward the idea that her chakra levels were simply too low, limiting the Tenseigan's potential.
For example, the creation of Truth-Seeking Balls—a hallmark of Six Paths-level power—wasn't something she could accomplish yet.
In the original story, Toneri Ōtsutsuki quickly mastered powerful Tenseigan techniques after awakening the eye, without needing years of training.
"Akira, is the Tenseigan really that powerful? Does it have many different abilities?" Hinata asked, intrigued.
"Yes, the Tenseigan is incredibly powerful. In fact, its abilities surpass even the Mangekyō Sharingan," Akira confirmed with a nod.
In his opinion, the Tenseigan was on par with the Rinnegan in terms of overall power.
"It's stronger than the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Hinata gasped in shock.
She knew how powerful the Mangekyō was—every wielder of that eye had Kage-level strength at the very least.
In fact, the current Uchiha Clan only had a handful of Mangekyō users, which was considered a rare and remarkable occurrence in the clan's history.
Yet here Akira was, telling her that her Tenseigan was even stronger than the Mangekyō?
"Once your chakra reserves grow large enough, you'll understand the full extent of the Tenseigan's abilities," Akira reassured her with a smile.
"You're right. My chakra isn't even enough to fully maintain the Tenseigan, so it's too soon to think about all of this," Hinata agreed, nodding obediently.
And so, the two of them continued chatting as they wandered through Ryūchi Cave.
Suddenly, Akira sensed a strange, irregular fluctuation in the natural energy around them...
