As the first round concluded, the arena hummed with a tense energy. The commentator's voice boomed across the colosseum, echoing through the stone seats and the open air above. "And that marks the end of the first round! All participants, return to your starting positions!"

The remaining teams regrouped, each returning to the points they had started from, while the stage shifted beneath them. Stone slabs slid back into place, concealing the entrances used to retrieve the items scattered across the battlefield.

Turai and his teammates quickly tallied their points, gathering the collected items. While Turai and two other members of his team still held onto their colored metal beads, the fourth member wasn't as fortunate.

He'd been outnumbered in a skirmish with two other participants and had lost his bead in the heat of the battle. Nevertheless, he had managed to snatch an item from an opposing team as a small consolation.
