"Damn it, he's dodging me again..."
Kouhei Yasutaka, a freelance journalist, cursed under his breath. His frustration etched onto his face, he clicked his tongue loudly in annoyance.
His wide, bloodshot eyes glared at the entrance to the high-rise apartment. It had been a while since Yasutaka started investigating Ayano Koyuki, and so far, his trip from Tokyo to Osaka had yielded some promising leads.
The most significant revelation was that Koyuki and Mitsuru Wakai seemed to have become quite close. It wasn't all that surprising—Mitsuru, the famed "Crystal Voice," had once performed the theme song for a movie in which Koyuki starred. The two apparently grew close, and a relationship blossomed between them. Nothing strange about that. However, Mitsuru's miraculous recovery—his voice fully restored—was something Yasutaka couldn't ignore.
