Shama looked up at the massive wood golem as Ariana commanded it to attack.
The golem raised its fist and slammed it into the ground.
At the last moment, Shama jumped and dodged the attack.
It's fast for its massive size, Shama thought. He landed on the ground, gathered all his strength in his legs, and leapt toward the golem.
Instantly, Ariana signaled the golem through their mental connection, coordinating its next attack.
The golem swung its massive hand, striking Shama and sending him flying several feet before he crashed into the ground, a large dust cloud forming from the impact.
Shama quickly healed his wounds and stood up, but sensed something above him. His eyes widened as he looked up the wood golem was flying toward him.
He jumped again and dodged as the golem landed, creating a massive explosion upon impact.
The nearby trees were blown away by the force of the explosion.
Shama inserted his fingers into the ground, gripping it tightly as the shockwave weakened.
Taking advantage of the dust cloud, Shama jumped toward the golem.
Ariana quickly noticed but pretended not to.
As Shama reached the back of the golem, Ariana turned and smiled cruelly.
Realizing too late that it was a trap, Shama was suddenly struck by a giant wooden hand that grew from the golem's back, sending him flying.
The golem jumped after him, quickly catching up.
It created a massive wooden hammer and struck Shama again, sending him crashing to the ground at high speed.
Before he had time to recover, the golem landed and began relentlessly pounding him, creating another thick dust cloud.
After a while, the golem stopped as Ariana signaled it to stand down.
As the dust settled, Shama lay defeated on the ground.
Ariana leaped from the golem and landed on Shama's body, placing her hand on him and beginning to absorb his life force and soul.
Soon, Shama's soul was completely absorbed.

"Now, what should I do with all these goblins?" Ariana muttered as the wood golem marched toward the goblin army.
The goblins were terrified. In a cold tone, Ariana said, "I give you two choices.
First, throw away your weapons and surrender. Second, death. Choose, goblins."
Terrified, the goblins threw down their weapons and bowed before Ariana.
Pleased, she remarked, "It seems mindless creatures like you goblins still have a bit of sense."
On the other side of the battlefield, Zephorix landed in front of the ogres, the impact of his landing raising a dust cloud.
As the dust settled, Zephorix stood tall, and the ogres immediately took fighting stances.
"Wait, I'm not here to fight," Zephorix said.
"Shut up, you monster!" the ogre leader roared, charging at him.
Suddenly, Zephorix disappeared. The ogre leader's eyes widened as he sensed someone above him but it was too late.
Zephorix punched him in the back, smashing the ogre leader into the ground and creating another dust cloud. The other ogres' eyes widened as they shouted, "Lord!"
As the dust settled, Zephorix stood, placing his hand on the head of the Ogre Lord, who was struggling to get up.
The other ogres surrounded Zephorix when suddenly a voice called out, "Stop, all of you!" The Ogre Princess had spoken.

"Princess, what are you saying? He attacked your brother!" one of the ogres exclaimed.
"No, we were the ones who attacked them first," the Princess replied. "Let's listen to what he has to say.
He may not be a member of the elves," she added.
The Ogre Lord slightly lifted his head. "What are you saying, Alice?" he asked.
"Brother, let's at least hear him out," Alice insisted.
The Ogre Lord lowered his head, giving up his struggle.
Zephorix withdrew his hand and stepped back.
The Ogre Lord stood up, while the other ogres approached and formed a circle around him and the Princess.

"My name is Zephorix. I am the Emperor of the Evergreen Empire," Zephorix said.
Upon hearing the name, all the ogres drew their weapons. "What's happening to them?" Zephorix wondered.
"So you're the one who commands that violent woman!" Carrion growled. "Unforgivable! First, you destroy our village, and now you pretend to be our ally?"
"Huh? What is the Ogre Lord talking about?" Zephorix thought.
Without warning, the ogres charged toward Zephorix.

Icaris swung his giant sword at him, but Zephorix ducked and grabbed Icaris by the neck, absorbing his life force.
Zephorix then released him, and Icaris collapsed to the ground.
Sensing danger above, Zephorix quickly looked up and saw Kiwi descending toward him.

In an instant, Zephorix leapt up, kicked Kiwi in the stomach, and sent him flying.
Kiwi's swords slipped from his hands as he crashed to the ground.
Zephorix landed and commanded, "Come forth, Spirit of Misfortune!" Suddenly, a dark and menacing aura surrounded him, and behind him appeared the Spirit of Misfortune.

The ogres grew terrified, their breathing heavy as they prepared for another attack.
Suddenly, a cloud formed and struck all of the ogres with lightning, knocking out all seven of them instantly.
"Huh? What just happened? Was that your doing, Spirit of Misfortune?" Zephorix asked.
"No, I merely placed misfortune upon them, and the lightning struck them," the Spirit of Misfortune replied.
"Your ability is dangerous," Zephorix remarked.
"It is an honor to be praised by you, Master," the Spirit of Misfortune said.
"I didn't praise you," Zephorix responded.
Zephorix sensed something. "What's wrong, Master?" Noctara asked.
"There is someone," Zephorix replied.
"Impossible," Noctara said.
Zephorix took a step and entered the dark smoke, heading toward the presence he had sensed.
Both he and Noctara were shocked to see Alice unharmed after the lightning strike. She was healing her brother.
As soon as Alice saw Zephorix, she froze in shock. Noctara extended her hand, ready to attack, but Alice spoke. "Why did you destroy our village?" she asked.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Zephorix responded.
Noctara put Alice to sleep.
