Chương 2: Chapter 2: Who is he?

"I have reached Westport, Mom." Holding a vibrant smile, Kylian informed his mother over the call as soon as he reached his destination.

Bethel was a very small sea-coast town with no airports, thus he had no other choice apart from boarding a train to reach Westport city. But as soon as he stepped down, the lavish, exquisite buildings startled him, as he wondered if he had entered a whole different world!

Kylian gazed all around his surroundings while clenching the metal handle of his trolley bag as he walked out of the station.

His ocean eyes were beaming with hope and joy when he reported it to Marita, "Mom, this is a whole new level of the world we had been living there until now. The buildings are magnificent skyscrapers, and most of the people drive crazy expensive cars which I have only seen on the internet until now…Everything feels different here from our town, Mom!"

"Really? That's great!" After a brief pause, Marita answered in a gentle tone from the other side as she continued, "Kyle, make many friends in the Academy, okay? They must be nice Alphas compared to our town, so be good to them. It will be your 19th birthday tomorrow, so celebrate it there with your new friends. And make sure to call me if you face any trouble over there…okay?"

Her soft but anxious words paused Kylian for a moment as he realized he had finally reached far away from his mother. Before he arrived here, Marita had already paid that huge sum of money in advance which made him feel a bit guilty for making her spend her life savings on him. Marita also didn't forget to give him enough pocket money that could last for a few weeks.

Holding a sad look in his eyes, he mumbled, "Mom, please don't work too hard over there. I will make sure to study well. I believe this Academy will shape me as a bright Alpha in the future, and we will be leading a better life together."

"Don't worry too much about me, honey. I am alright and I gotta go now. Take care, Kyle…" Kylian sensed Marita's voice tremble a bit as she spoke those words before disconnecting the call, making him hunch that she might be trying to suppress her tears while talking to him.

This was the very first time in his life Kylian was separated this far from Marita, but enduring the sadness that dawned inside him, he walked forward towards shaping his future ahead. Very soon he booked a taxi which was taking him to his ultimate destination…the Alpha Academy.

Kylian felt strange nervousness with every passing minute, as his heart knew it was a whole different world he would step into. After an anticipated ride of over 30 minutes, the taxi dropped him in front of a huge gate of a building. As soon as he stepped out, his jaw dropped in shock to fathom the dreamy sight ahead of him.

The Alpha Academy was a magnificently built chain of buildings with a huge area that must be spread over hundreds of acres. There were approximately 25 medievally built bell towers accompanying every building which must have signified each major taught here.

Three giant sturdy guards who stood in front of the gate thoroughly checked Kylian's acceptance letter, before letting him inside the gate.

'This is crazy…I can't believe an academy can look so luxuriously elegant! It looks more compatible to call it a royal castle…instead of an institution…' Pondering on his own with an awestruck smile on his face, Kylian tried to grab out his phone so he could take pictures of his surroundings to send them to his mother.

THWACK!

"UGHH!!"

But a sharp sound of hitting someone, accompanied by a loud painful cry flinched him for a second, halting his motion.

Kylian turned his glance to his left side beside the basketball court from where the noise came as he saw a group of tall, handsome Alphas of around his age, probably belonging to wealthy families ganging up on another Alpha who looked relatively smaller and weaker compared to them.

All of them were emitting extremely strong pheromones, especially the gang of bullies. Since he was young, Kylian had been always sensitive to those kinds of strong pheromones which he never liked in the first place. But as he grew up, soon he accustomed himself to those sensitive scents due to his ardent urge to become a strong Alpha himself.

That weak-looking Alpha boy had his face covered with bruises from their beating and was even having severe nose bleeding. With his disheveled self, folding his trembling hands, he was begging before those nasty bullies who were sneering at him in a broken voice, "P-Please forgive me, M-Master. I-I will never make such a mistake again…"

"You think just a mere apology is enough to cover your mistakes?" A reddish brown-haired boy with an arrogant smug on his sharp-jawlined face came walking a few steps closer to the boy while sneering at him, "Zenith is the supreme Alpha among us here and you dared to disrespect your Master, huh? Unfortunately, a mere apology isn't going to save you punk…unless you pay the price with your life."

"W-What the f*ck?" Baffled deeply inside, Kylian scornfully glared at those awful bullies but what shocked him the most was that even though there were many students surrounding them, some were in the basketball court, and some were simply audiences who were recording videos of watching the boy getting humiliated.

Watching all those people mocking someone's helplessness stirred his burning rage, which he had always felt watching his mother suffer since growing up.

Kylian gritted his jaws and before he was about to dash towards those bullies, his feet froze for a moment, as his heart thumped very loud when he gazed at the person ahead of him this time.

A giant, muscular, dazzling handsome boy with sleek silver hairs shimmering under the morning sun walked gallantly towards the bullied boy, and just from a glance at him, Kylian sensed the loud thumping of his heart, which almost hitched his breath for a second. It was an unusual sensation he had never felt before and without realizing it himself, he couldn't stop staring at that silver-haired guy.

Undoubtedly, Kylian felt a bit hesitant to admit it himself that guy was the most handsome boy he had ever seen in his entire life, and he had a typical attractive aura oozing around him. He looked pretty strong with his well-built body, and he was quite taller than Kylian, at least a few inches.

His skin was fair like moonlight, with deep big onyx eyes holding a mysterious look ahead towards his target. There were three ear piercings on his ears and the curved smile on his cherry-red lips didn't seem normal it was quite diabolical.

Dressed in a luxury brand white denim shirt unbuttoned up to his chestline and a pair of black jeans, that mysterious boy crossed his veiny white arms over his muscular chest, making all the other Alphas move behind him.

The crowd of students surrounding them suddenly started cheering for him as if he was some celebrity, "Go, Zenith! Show him what it means to defy you in this Academy!"

Already shaken up by his unusual thumping heartbeat from the moment he saw Zenith for the first time, Kylian scrunched his brows when he sensed Zenith was emitting a typical wild pheromone which was too stronger than any Alpha he had ever encountered until now.

For a second, he felt nauseous, making his stomach twist inside as he grunted in his mind, 'Fuck…just who is this boy? How can an Alpha like him make me feel so uneasy from the first glance?"
