"What do you mean?" Shizuku Yaegashi was momentarily at a loss upon hearing Eriri's words.
"It's simple. We're from another world's Japan, silly," Eriri said, lightly tapping Shizuku's head, finding her dazed look somewhat adorable.
Arifureta, who had paused her eating, sat quietly beside Eriri, enjoying the spectacle as a good spectator would.
Shizuku's actions snapped Kouki Amanogawa and the others back to attention. A cute girl wearing a white robe and a hat adorned with a cross quickly went to Shizuku's side, looking at her with concern.
"Shizuku, are you alright?"
"Kaori..." Shizuku called softly, turning her head, but said nothing more.
The rest of the group followed Kaori Shirasaki and gathered around Shizuku, casting curious glances at Eriri and Arifureta.
Kouki Amanogawa, with a questioning look, asked Shizuku, "Shizuku, who are they?"
They had noticed Eriri and Arifureta's Japanese school uniforms and assumed, like Shizuku had, that they were Japanese people summoned like them.
Ignoring his friend's question, Shizuku composed herself and asked Eriri, "May I know your name?"
"Eriri Spencer Sawamura. You can call me Eriri," she replied with a smile.
"Hmph!" came a soft snort from Arifureta beside Eriri, expressing her discontent before returning to her role as a spectator.
"Ahem, so... Eriri, you said you're from another world's Japan. Do you mean a parallel world?" Shizuku asked, clearing her throat and voicing her doubt.
"Nope."
"Were you also summoned here?"
"Also no."
"..."
Shizuku, faced with repeated denials, was unsure how to proceed.
Just then, Kouki Amanogawa, wearing a gentle smile, turned to Eriri and said, "Um, Eriri..."
"Did I give you permission to call me by my name?" She interrupted with a cold voice, her demeanor turning icy as she glanced at Kouki with indifference.
Kouki's expression shifted, a hint of embarrassment flashing in his eyes, and Shizuku looked at him worriedly.
"Kouki..."
"It's fine, Shizuku. I was too forward," he reassured her with a calming glance.
Taking a deep breath, Kouki addressed Eriri again, this time with a smile. "Miss Sawamura, it's dangerous for you two girls to be out here alone. Would you like to join us? I'll protect you."
"No need. We're not weak, and there's no one in this world stronger than me," Eriri said coolly, a hint of disdain in her eyes.
Before anyone could react, a boy with a sly look stepped forward and challenged, "Oh? You're confident. How about a match to prove it?"
"Kouki, Shizuku, what are you trying to do?" Shizuku and Kouki immediately stopped the boy, who was named Daisuke Hiyama.
"Kouki, Shizuku, don't interfere. I have my reasons. Isn't helping her realize her limits also a form of help?"
Daisuke stared intently at Eriri, a strong possessiveness hidden deep in his eyes. From the first moment he saw her, he was captivated by her perfect beauty. Now his only thought was to claim her.
Eriri's words seemed like a perfect opportunity for him to show off and get close to her through a duel.
As for Kaori, whom he had once fancied and even conspired against classmates to possess, she was now entirely forgotten.
Kouki found some reason in Daisuke's argument and didn't stop him, though Shizuku remained hesitant.
"Oh... it's you," Eriri said, feigning sudden realization, ignoring the others' actions.
Her words surprised Daisuke, who asked with a hint of joy, "You know me?"
"What makes you think I'd be interested in knowing someone like you?" Eriri retorted disdainfully. If it weren't for the fun she expected, she wouldn't even spare him a glance.
Seeing Eriri's scornful expression, Daisuke was furious, but before he could react, her next words terrified him.
"Aren't you the one who pushed your classmate into the labyrinth depths?"
"You... you're spouting nonsense. Don't accuse without evidence," Daisuke said, his expression turning anxious, sweat forming on his forehead.
Eriri's words stirred up chaos among the group, with suspicious and disbelieving eyes turning toward Daisuke.
"Daisuke used to bully Nagumo. Could it be..."
"Hey, don't say that. Bullying and murder are different."
"Bullying is bad enough..."
"..."
Shizuku looked at Daisuke's nervous demeanor with growing suspicion, struggling to accept the thought of her classmate being so malicious.
Kaori, meanwhile, was shaken by Eriri's accusation, her expression turning sorrowful before she glared at Daisuke. "Daisuke, did you really do it?"
At that moment, three of Daisuke's lackeys stepped forward to defend him. "Don't talk nonsense. Daisuke would never do something like that."
Kouki also voiced his support, "That's right, I believe in Daisuke. He wouldn't harm a classmate; it was an accident."
He paused before asking, "But how do you know about this? We didn't spread the news. Did someone from the knight order tell you?"
"Yeah, why are you trying to sow discord among us? Why falsely accuse me? What's your motive?" Emboldened by Kouki's support, Daisuke loudly questioned Eriri.
Ignoring Daisuke, Eriri pointed to her captivating eyes with a smile. "I saw it with my own eyes."
