Chương 24: TRISTEN'S POV

''Ugghh'' I moan as I wake up. How or when did I pass out...then it comes crashing into my head. I'd almost eaten Zack, I'd lost control of myself again.

I look up and notice Zack standing defensively giving me a suspicious look. I stand up and he involuntarily steps back.

I scoff. '' You're not scared of me are you?''

''Scared of you... the day I become scared of you is the day I almost get my head eaten'' He replies.

''You did almost get your head eaten'' Evie remarks.

''Since when were you a siren?'' Tasha who was standing beside Zack asks.

I shrug and start to walk towards them. Zack takes more steps backward.

''I'm not gonna eat you''

''I'll never believe that''

''Don't, It's your choice''

I reached where they were standing, cast a glance at Zack, who looked traumatized, and finally walked out the door. I hear him audibly exhale when I leave and Evie laughing at him.

I sigh as I walk. I should have controlled myself; I shouldn't have given in to that part of me... a part I swore never to release again.

The last time I did I..... that's a story for another day, one I'm not very willing to tell. I just hope I won't be found; I've lived peacefully here for three years without getting caught, and now because of some unfortunate events, I might have to move again. 'Why?', you may ask.... well, that's also a story for another day. I punch the wall beside me and regret it immediately.

''Ow!!'' I yelp.

''That must've hurt'' someone says from behind me and I turn in shock. Adrian is leaning casually on the wall looking amused.

''Why'd you hit the poor wall?'' he asks
