Earth. As the unique planet within the solar system, Earth, with its powerful magnetic field and thick atmosphere, has shielded itself from various forms of radiation, thus fostering a rich ecosystem and the intelligent species known as humanity.
Against the sunlight, one can clearly see the vast oceans, forests, and landmasses on the surface. The shorter wavelengths of light scatter more easily in all directions, making the atmosphere appear a deeper blue.
Otherwise, most astronauts would experience the "Overview Effect"—a cognitive shift when observing their familiar home from a perspective few can imagine, leading to awe at its beauty and fragility, and a sense of humanity's insignificance and helplessness.
On the dark side of the planet, where it is still deep night, the details of the surface become blurred. However, the lights representing cities, towns, and signs of human activity sparkle like stars.
Zooming in.
From an altitude of about 200 kilometers in low Earth orbit, one can even vaguely distinguish which city each light belongs to.
At this moment, a colossal object, invisible to the naked eye, is moving along this 200-kilometer orbit.
This massive object is one of Atlas's aerospace vehicles—the *Enyo*.
Its outline and appearance would only be visible if the pilot actively disabled the optical camouflage.
The exterior closely resembles the Valkyrie aerospace transport, but the fuselage is a full 170 meters long, with a wingspan of around 120 meters.
Atlas utilized 3D printing technology to completely "renovate" and modify an original Valkyrie, and while it may not reach the military standards of humanity in Universe Zero Two (*Avatar*), it is unquestionably superior to any vehicle in the main universe and Universe Zero One (*Edge of Tomorrow*).
Equipped with four nuclear fusion engines and six atmospheric rotary turbine engines, the *Enyo* is capable of vertical takeoff and landing. Its exterior is fitted with optical camouflage modules and stealth coating, and it can simultaneously carry 70 fully armed soldiers, 10 mechs, and 10 airdrop pods.
In terms of raw capacity, it might not seem much larger than the Valkyrie, but the *Enyo's* primary purpose isn't transportation. Instead, it serves as a platform for deploying elite troops, bioweapons (BOWs), or reconstructed soldiers for capture or decapitation missions anywhere in the world, as well as possessing nuclear strike and counter-strike capabilities.
When the Soviet Union disintegrated in the main universe, Atlas absorbed a large number of former Soviet scientists, including leading figures in physics, chemistry, engineering, and mathematics.
Atlas was already a shareholder in Northwest Energy Company, co-operating a commercial nuclear power plant, and had extensive experience in the nuclear field.
In theory, Atlas was fully capable of extracting and enriching uranium-235 from uranium ore, but the astronomical power consumption and various other limitations prevented Atlas from pursuing nuclear projects.
However, with the opening of the second space gate to Pandora, and the acquisition of more advanced nuclear technologies, Atlas made a quantum leap in its capabilities.
As a result, the *Enyo* is now equipped with ten tactical nuclear missiles, each with a yield of approximately 500 kilotons of TNT, ready for deployment if needed.
…
At this moment.
Inside the *Enyo*'s cockpit, which remains in stealth mode with optical camouflage active:
"All systems are normal."
"Maintain current speed and course."
"Estimated arrival at the designated position in fourteen minutes."
Three pilots focused intently on operating and stabilizing the aircraft, ensuring everything on the *Enyo* was functioning correctly and safeguarding the crew and passengers.
Standing at the rear of the cockpit, wearing a specially designed combat suit with wings folded behind him, Saint Gilles gazed out at humanity's home planet through the porthole.
The Overview Effect applied even to extraordinary beings like the Primarch, as Earth's spectacle left a deep impression on his mind. However, Saint Gilles now viewed it more with appreciation than with surprise or awe—those emotions had long since settled.
Upon hearing that the *Enyo* was about to reach its designated position, he withdrew his gaze from the porthole and turned around, using nearby objects to "drift" out of the cockpit.
He passed through an automatic door.
Then he moved through a section that resembled an airborne command center, filled with busy observers, communicators, engineers, and other crew members, until he arrived at the living quarters.
This area offered sleeping quarters, a medical room, and storage spaces for food, water, and essential supplies, with an orderly layout that seemed far more spacious than a submarine.
The most important facility in the living quarters was the toilet, equipped with filtering and waste processing systems to function in low or zero-gravity environments.
Continuing his drift.
Saint Gilles passed by the small operations briefing room, the power distribution cabin, and other compartments until he finally reached the ship's belly after passing through two airlocks and a decompression chamber. This area housed the equipment room, missile launch silos, airdrop bays, and other specialized sections.
Here, Saint Gilles no longer needed to grab onto objects to move forward, as automatic handrails on either side of the corridor carried him into a ready room.
This room was bustling with personnel, including two pilots wearing ARS training uniforms and technicians conducting checks on them.
Saint Gilles observed the scene before him and asked the nearby chief technician, "How are they doing?"
"Heart rate... normal, blood pressure... normal..." The chief technician glanced at the various data displayed on the holographic screen before looking up at the "little" giant that was Saint Gilles and reported, "The pilots are ready. They can proceed with neural linking to Prototype 001 and 002."
"Then begin. We have twelve minutes."
"Understood."
Upon receiving the order, the two pilots lay down in half-enclosed link chambers that resembled MRI machines, while the technicians began their preparations.
…
The perspective was first dark and blurry, but after a while, it gradually became clear.
"Corporal Michelle, can you hear me?" A voice called out nearby.
Through this perspective, it became apparent that Corporal Michelle had already linked her consciousness with the Tyrant.
The visual input provided by the Tyrant included augmented reality (AR) features, displaying radar and various data. She could also see a ground crew member wearing a pressure suit standing on her left, asking the question.
Next, Michelle skillfully controlled the Tyrant as if it were her own body, raising its right hand and giving a thumbs-up to indicate that the system was operating smoothly.
Seeing this, the ground crew continued, "There are only seven minutes and fifty seconds left until the operation begins. Corporal, please prepare for airdrop as quickly as possible. And don't forget to deploy the decoy pod at the designated altitude if you don't want to be blown to pieces."
