Chapter 2: Shopping in Diagon Alley
Who is Wade Gray?
Though he is a descendant of wizards, his parents are both squibs, making him no different from a Muggle in the eyes of true wizards.
Ferdinand told Wade in detail about the wars caused by Grindelwald in modern times and the brutal killings instigated by the second-generation Dark Lord.
Even the last news they received about the magical world was that their parents were killed one after another because of the war.

McGonagall came this time primarily to prove the authenticity of the magic school and persuade the couple to allow their child to attend; and secondarily to take Wade to buy school supplies.

The wand tapped three times on a wall tile.
