As he walked through the bustling streets, he couldn't help but notice the whispers and glances from the people around him.
"Isn't that Ye Chen, the so-called waste of the Ye Family?" one passerby muttered to another.
"Yeah, despite having the resources at his hands, he only managed to reach the peak of the Qi Refining realm. Such feat is a disappointment for a prestigious family," another responded with a sneer.
Ye Chen ignored the comments, his resolve was to only strengthen himself and protect the family that greatly loved him despite having a poor talent. He knew he had something they wouldn't understand, something that would soon change everything.
As he approached the grand building that housed the Ye Family's business headquarters, he looked at it's imposing architecture. The large, ornate doors opened into a luxurious lobby, bustling with activity. He made his way to the reception desk, where a beautiful young woman sat, diligently attending to various tasks.
The receptionist looked up as Ye Chen approached, her eyes widening in recognition. "Young Master Ye Chen, what brings you here today?" she greeted him with a respectful bow.
Ye Chen smiled politely. "Hello, I need to speak with my. Is she somehow available?"
The receptionist for a moment, then nodded. "Please wait a moment, Young Master, I will inform Madam Ye of your arrival."
She picked up a crystal communication device and spoke into it softly. Moments later, she looked back at Ye Chen apologetically. "Madam Ye is currently in a meeting, but she will you shortly. Please, Young Master, have a seat in the waiting area."
Ye Chen thanked her and moved to the luxurious seating area, his mind already planning how he would explain his need for more spirit stones. As he waited, he overlooked the bustling activity around him, noting the efficiency and precision with which everyone operated. You can see blurry figures coming in and out of the office, this was the heart of the Ye Family's business empire.
10 minutes later.
After a short wait, the receptionist approached him with a warm smile. "Young Master, Madam Ye will see you now. Please follow me."

Ye Chen stood and followed her down a series of corridors, finally arriving at a seemingly larger on. The receptionist knocked gently before opening the door and gesturing for him to enter.
Inside, Ye Xinyue sat behind a grand desk, presence alone emits an aura of someone who has a high status. Seemingly, when she saw Ye Chen, all of this disappeared, "Chen, what brings you here?" she asked warmly. Then, as if on cue, her expression shifted to one of mock pitifulness. "I guess that old man is locking you up inside, huh? You don't even have the time to come look for me anymore..."
Ye Chen: "..."
'I guess Ye Wenling inherited mom's traits huh' Ye Chen thought.
Ye Chen blinked, momentarily speechless. "Mother, it's not like that..."
Ye Xinyue gently released him from the hug but kept her hands on his shoulders, looking into his eyes with a playfully. "Oh? So, my son only remembers his mother when he needs something, is that it?"
Ye Chen chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "No, Mother, it's not like that at all."
She raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a teasing smile. "Really? Then why do I only see you when you have a request?"
Ye Chen sighed, "I do need something, but I promise it's for a good reason."
Ye Xinyue laughed softly, patting his cheek affectionately. "I'm just teasing you, Chen. I know you're busy with your cultivation. Now, tell me, what do you need?"
Ye Chen took a deep breath and explained, "The Cultivation Technique I'm practicing allows me to rapidly increase my power by consuming spirit stones. Father gave me a few, but I need more continue my progress."
Ye Xinyue listened intently, her expression thoughtful. "Yes, I have heard about deeds from your father. But, Ye Chen, Spirit stones are valuable, but if this technique is as effective as you say, then I will support you."
Ye Chen nodded earnestly. "I understand, Mother. I promise to use them wisely."
Ye Xinyue reached into a drawer and pulled out a small pouch. "Here, there's a dozens of Top-Tiered spirit stones there, plus a few more that will surely surprise you. Use them well, and Ye Chen, visit your mother often okay?"
Ye Chen hugged her mother and accepted the pouch with a gratitude. "Thank you, Mother. I won't let you down. And I promise I'll visit more often."
Ye Xinyue's eyes sparkled with affection as she looked her son. "Okay good, now where's my kiss."
Ye Chen sighed, looking slightly embarrassed. "Mom, I'm too old for this..."
Ye Xinyue's expression turned pitiful, her eyes wide and pleading. "Oh, so my son thinks he's too old to show his mother some affection? How sad..."
Ye Chen couldn't resist her look and relented, leaning in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Alright, alright. There you go."
Ye Xinyue beamed, her playful demeanor returning. "That's more like it. Now, go and make us proud, son."
As Ye Chen left his mother's office under her watchful gaze, something changed in Ye Xinyue's eyes. Complex symbols began to glow faintly, revealing her true depth of power and insight. She murmured to herself, her voice barely above a whisper.
"A cultivation level at the early Earth Core Realm, but he already possesses the strength to rival the peak of the Heaven Core Realm."
She watched his retreating figure with a mixture of pride and concern. "Such potential, such power... But with it comes great danger."
The illusory symbols in her eyes flickered and then faded as she returned to her normal demeanor, her thoughts still lingering on future that will await her son.
As Ye Chen walked away from his mother's office, a sudden realization hit him. He could feel an aura emanating from his mother that he hadn't noticed before. It was subtle, but there was an undeniable depth and power to it. He paused for a moment, turning back to glance at the closed office door.
'Mother is not that simple, I can sense that she's incredibly strong. Far more stronger than Great-Grandfather,' he thought, his eyes narrowing as slightly.
