Chương 2: The First Mission

[The first mission of the group chat has been assigned]
[World:the irregular at magic highschool]
[Objective:join the first magic highschool]
[Join the student council or the public morals committe]
[Destroy the anti-magic organization , Blanche's branch in Japan]
[Participant required : 2 { those who live in this world are excluded}]
[The backgrounds and support items for those joining will be taken care of by the group chat]
[ The time will be stopped in the participant's world]
[Participate or not?]

[Shiba Tatsuya: it seems it's my world first huh]
[The eternity Princess : i expected a mission , but not like this]
[Crimson princess: so who's going?]
[Tsunade: i can't go , i won't pass as a teenager ]
[The eternity Princess : me neither]
[Undead ban : same , and i don't think that going as an immortal would be a good idea]
[Shiba Tatsuya : that only leaves miss Rias and Ayato ]
[Ayato{admin}: i don't have anything better to do so i'll go , please take care of me . Shiba-san]
[Crimson princess : me neither , i can't do anything about my engagement yet and time being stopped in my world does take a bit of stress off my shoulders , please take care of me too shiba-san]
[Shiba Tatsuya : i'll do my best to make you feel at home , and Tatsuya is good enough]
[Ayato{admin}: thank you tatsuya-san]
[Crimson princess: thank you]
[Ayato{admin}: so should we do it now? ]
[Crimson princess: why not?]
[Ayato{admin}: sure]
Meanwhile the young man who now is called Ayato lifted his head and stared at the starry night in the middle of the desert
" Maybe i will find my purpose this time "
It was so small and barely visible , but it was there a miniscule smile found it's way to the cursed one's face
"Accept"
Then his vision turned white and he felt as if he was going through a black hole , it wasn't a good feeling so he closed his eyes
A few seconds later he opened them again , only to find himself inside the living room of what he seemed to remember as a traditional japanese house
*gasp*
a gasp was heard on his left prompting him to turn his head toward it, he saw what seemed to be a dumbfounded Rias
" are you okay?" he says snapping her from her state
"ye-yes it's just that you're... uhm-" she stutters while thinking
'You're much more handsome in person'
"You sure?"
"Yes"
"Well nice to meet you . you can call me Ayato i guess" he extends his hand
Rias then shakes her head clearing her head , then smiles towards him
"Nice to meet you too , you can call me Rias " and she shakes his hand
" Do you happen to know where we are ?"
" I was about to ask the sam-" as she was about to continue , she clutches her head as if having a migraine
"What's wrong?" he asks but then he feels foreign memories going through his head as if he's watching a movie of another person's life
After finishing watching them all , he looks back to Rias and asks
" I assume we both got the same set of memories ?"
Rias still clutching her head as the headache was going away
" Yeah not a pleasant experience really , how come you look fine? "
" I don't feel pain or more like i forgot what the sensation is like "
..
..
Rias was in silence for a few seconds occasionally bitting her lower lip and Ayato didn't bother her
as he was also lost in thoughts
After a few seconds Rias Suddenly says
"Should we contact Tatsuya?"
" Yes i think we should break the news to him as well , us being family should a put a few obstacles in his plans so we should let him know "
That's right from the memories the two just got they discovered that they are part of the Yotsuba's branch family The Shibata Family , maybe the chat group's unfluence was so big that it made a complete reality distortion , because apparently the current shibata head instead of being an only child had two siblings ,a brother and a sister who miraculously both died after Ayato and Rias were born making them both cousins to each other and to the next family head Shibata Katsushige.
Ayato then proceeds to send a private message to tatsuya
[Ayato{Admin}: Tatsuya-san are you free right now ? we're both here and there are some things you must know]
[Shiba Tatsuya : yes i am free , do you know your address by chance ?]
[Ayato{Admin}: i do, it's here xxx-xxxx ]
[Shiba Tatsuya : it's quite close actually i'll be there in 10 minutes , you don't mind if i bring my sister with me right]
[Ayato{Admin}: no of course not do as you wish ]
[Shiba Tatsuya : alright thank you i'm on my way]
" He's on his way " he says to Rias who made herself comfortable on the couch
" That's good, he's bringing Miyuki isn't he?"
"Of course he is , you know how he is"
" Ah yes a sis-con "
"Well and she's a bro-con so i don't see the problem "
"That's because your common sense is messed up"
"I mean i don't deny that but i still don't see the problem if they love each other "
"The problem is that it is morally wrong in this world "
" I know that , but what good are morals if they come in the face of two beings we are quite literally made for each other ?"
Rias falls silent as she knows the story of those two she obviously knows that miyuki was made specifically for tatsuya
" Not to mention that both would be happy with that result , Tatsuya with the only person he will ever care about and love and miyuki with the person she loves the most and would sacrifice herself for , if such a worthless thing as morals come in the face of something as grand as this love story i don't even know if there can be anything of worth in the world anymore"
Rias keeps her silence but internally she also agrees , she just doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of victory if he can even feel such emotion
Moments later the doorbell rings
Rias gets up saying
" I'll get it "
She walks to the door and opens it , to find both Miyuki and and Tatsuya waiting
So she says smiling
"Miyuke-san , Tatsuya-san please come in , Ayato is waiting inside "
Tatsuya looks at miyuki look at each other and then they nod and both of them come in
Rias leads them both to the living Room where Ayato is waiting
And both of stop for a bit looking at Ayato's face , but they snap back fast
Rias thinks' yep just about the reaction i expected , his face is truly unfair'
Then they all look at ayato who says
" Shiba-san , Tatsuya-san , please take a seat this may be a bit shocking"
They both oblige and take a seat
Rias then says
" I apologize we don't really have anything to drink for you guys , as you know we just got here"
The siblings both shake their heads followed by Tatsuya saying
" It's fine , we have more important things to discuss anyway , first i would like to inform you that i told my sister about the group chat and i hope you two don't mind"
Ayato replies " of course not in fact it is better this way , you don't have to hide anything from her and focus more on the objective of the mission "
Rias adds " he's right most of what we are about to say is also related to her so she was going to be involved either way"
Ayato then looks at miyuki "Shiba-san i understand that it hard to believe what we're saying , but it is the truth and what we're about to say will only solidify it "
"Tatsuya-san , you do remember that in the details of the mission had something about giving us a background and support items"
Tatsuya confirms it " yes i do"
" Well it seems that we understimated what it means "
"Would you mind clarfying "
" Certainly , so at first i assumed it would only give us a sufficient background to enter the first magic highschool , but that wasn't the case as we both ended up in the clan that you two are from "
Ayato says leaving both Miyuki and Tatsuya dumbfounded and he continues
"Although we are only part of the branch family , we are both part of the shibata family as instead of the current head being an only child he had two siblings we were both respectively my father and Rias's mother , and as if to balance things they both died after our birth by a year "
Now both Miyuki and Tatsuya are just thunderstruck
Miyuki hesingtatly asks " but doesn't that make us uhm?
Rias answers" yes that makes us cousins , miyuki-san.
that's why Ayato said we understimated the group chat "
Tatsuya then asks
"But if you were yotsubas how come you're allowed to be here , and we can't be both allowed here "
This time Rias is the one who answers
" you already know the answer to that tatsuya-san , we're here for you"
" I see , you were sent to report about us "
Tatsuya realizes making Miyuki clench her hands and she asks
"But if that's case why weren't other branches who specialize in spying and intelligence gathering , or mental interfering the ones sent, for example the kuroba twins ?"
Rias answers again" the answer to all of these questions are quite simple really ,first of all non of the strategies and magic involved in spying would ever work against tatsuya-san.Secondly, of those who have a chance to work against him , none have someone who would be able to enter the highschool because they all are too old , next the kuroba siblings aren't a good choice because of their relationship with tatsuya , and lastly we were chosen because we never interacted with you both , thus giving them the perfect excuse to send us to report about you and tatsuya-san"
Ayato then says " the chat group also made it so perfectly convenient that somehow everything is alligned . us being the same age , well you guys are at least , all in the first year of highschool , never met each other before , and even gave us the same background , although somewhat troublesome it is convenient .
that is why , for the sake of convenience i would like to transfer my memories of this world to you two , if you don't mind of course"
Tatsuya and Miyuki look at each other than look back at Ayato
Tatsuya then ask " is there any drawsbacks to the transfer ? "
" Aside from a slight migraine , none "
Rias then cuts in
" How do you have such magic?"
"It's not magic it's a certain trick i picked up from a memokeeper"
"What's a memokeeper?"
" A memokeeper is part of a group called garden of recollection . they are a group of people from my world who collect memories of various interesting people to please their own Aeon "
This time Tatsuya asks" what is an Aeon if you don't mind me asking"
Ayato keeps his silence for a few seconds
"Aeons are what is considered above deities , everything in the universe happens according to their whims and desires , those who follow their path are called pathsiders , meaning those who follow the path designed by the Aeon but there are a select few who are considered worthy by the Aeon and are given their power directly by them , making them only below the Aeon in power and influence"
Remebering what her brother told her Miyuki asks
" So Ayato-san is.."
"Yes i am an Emanator of the Aeon IX the nihility"
Tatsuya then replies " the nihility huh , i guess that explain why his followers lose their meaning of existence"
Silence reigns in the room for no more than 3 seconds
Before it was broken by Rias
" Can't this trick help you keep your memories then?" she asks nervously earning a curious glance from Miyuki
"My memories aren't forgotten or sealed , they are lost and consumed under THEIR shadow much like my emotions and senses and this trick can only recover what is forgotten and unveil what is sealed and uncovered , my situation is also similar to Tatsuya because his emotions weren't sealed they were deleted "
"Only you have it worse " tatsuya commented and Miyuki covered her mouth astonished that someone could even have it worse than her brother
Silence again
But this time Ayato was the one to break it
" So what do you think? it is totally fine if you don't want to, like i said it's only for the sake of convenience "
Tatsuya thinks for a few seconds before saying
" Can i trust that nothing will happen during it ?"
" Of course tatsuya-san , there is no meaning to me trying anything because i barely have any desires for anything , and this isn't something that can fail because it is not magic or an operation it is merely a trick using energy "
" Then please "
" Okay then come closer please "
Both miyuki and Tatsuya oblige
Ayato then lifts his hands and taps their heads sending the required memories
Resulting in Miyuki clutching her head a bit while Tatsuya just endures the headache
Moments pass by and the siblings are both done recollecting the memories
Tatsuya then says
"i see what you mean by convenient "
Miyuki adds
" indeed although i wish it was less invasive, it felt like needles going through my head "
To which Ayato apologizes
" my apologies it is the only thing i remember from my time with the memokeeper "
Miyuki shakes her head
" Don't be, it's better this way at least if aunt maya asks us about you two we would know what to say"
" indeed" adds tatsuya
Rias then says " then i think we should start thinking about the objective of this mission"
