Chương 13: Chapter 13 - First Tea
The night passed slowly as I could hardly sleep. I kept thinking about the new awakened job that I had just gotten.
While lying on the bed, I opened the Awakener forum again. I started to open many different posts there, especially the top posts. Some of them belong to the association of many different countries.
I clicked on the one posted by the Korean Association. There was a lot of information mentioned in there, including some introduction to the forum, how to use it especially in the dungeon, and how to register to be an official awakener.
The post explained that the forum could be used everywhere by an awakener, even in a normal dungeon or even the tower dungeon. It was the common communication tool for the awakeners as the normal communication tool couldn't function in the dungeon.
Then I also tried to find any information about my awakened job. Some posts that I found mentioned that my job was part of the crafter type, as the main skill I had to create an item, which was tea.
In that one post about the crafter awakener, she also mentioned other similar jobs like hers, such as an awakened barista, chef, and even some hotel managers. The post also mentioned that if a crafter awakener wanted to sell items they had created using their skills, they needed to register the business with the association. This was to prevent some illegal dealing and also to supervise the type of items created. Not only that but registering would also help the other awakeners to know more about the crafter.
So, I guess I needed to register with the association. Maybe it would help spread information about my tea shop. It could be good marketing.
I fell asleep while I kept thinking about registering as an awakener and started the shop.
The next morning, I woke up cheerfully ready to go to the association. But I knew before that I needed to try brewing some tea using the skills I had. I needed to know how it was done and what the result was.
I walked back to the grocery shop again because I didn't have any ingredients for it and the skill mentioned I could use normal ingredients.
On the way there I didn't see Grandma Kim. Too bad that I wanted to ask many questions about the shop.
When I arrived, I bought several types of tea packets because I didn't know much about tea. Mom had brewed me some before when she was healthy enough, but I didn't pay attention to it. However, some of the taste that I remembered was the complexity of sweetness and floral taste with the calming sensation.
So I chose some types of common tea packets such as jasmine, green tea, and some chamomile tea. I also bought some ingredients to experiment with, as I might use some of Mom's recipes in the shop.
I went home with full shopping bags in both hands.
Back at home, I arranged the items that I had bought. But before anything else I needed to eat breakfast first. As my schedule for today was quite busy, I needed to make something simple. So, I made some egg rice. I fried one sunny side egg until the edge was crispy enough. Then I put it on top of some steamy hot rice. I poured some soy sauce and sesame oil. I also scattered some chopped spring onions and crushed sesame seeds. It was a simple menu but quite filling.
After I was done eating, I quickly cleaned them up and went back to the tea packets I had arranged. Before I used the brewing skill, I might as well use the identify skill first to find out how much information I could get from it.
I hovered my hand over one of the tea packets and said, "Identify."

The window appeared above the item. The amount of information in it was very short as it only mentioned a single line of information.
I wonder if the skill works on a dungeon item.
I know for sure what items I should try. Then I went to the bedroom and grabbed items from the dungeon break. Let's try it on the water.

Wow, the water was quite high-ranked.
The water was coming from an A-Rank boss room so it would not make sense if the items from its surroundings were of low rank. This time the skill also included a simple function.
I moved my hand and hovered on top of the pretty marbles.

I went back to the kitchen, in front of the many different types of tea. I grabbed the box of jasmine tea.

There were only two types of recipes that appeared in front of her. I clicked the first window option and a light glow was on the hand that was holding the tea. Not long after that, a china porcelain kettle with a teacup set appeared in front of me.
Some hot air comes out of the kettle, meaning the tea is in there.

A new window appeared before me, and the results of the tea looked promising.

Never in my mind, not only was I awakened. Turns out my skills could create items with a buff that I heard could be life-saving in the dungeon.
