Chương 37: Chapter 37: Turmoil in the Situation
The extreme armament Haki and unparalleled strength made it impossible for Sharlo to injure Zephyr critically. The two remained deadlocked, unable to best each other.
"Phew! Zephyr, how are my punches? Tough, right?" Sharlo taunted during a brief lull in their fight.
Zephyr glowered at him. "Pirate Sharlo, we underestimated you. We thought you were merely a swordsman, perhaps on the brink of becoming a great sword hero. None of us expected you to be such a formidable martial artist!"
Zephyr's fists, covered in armament Haki, relentlessly hammered Sharlo's defenses. "I can't believe you've mastered internal destruction with armament Haki and even Conqueror's Haki infusion! What kind of training did you go through in these two years?"
Sharlo laughed, his eyes gleaming with madness. "Zephyr, people grow! After losing last time, I trained nonstop. I destroyed four mountains during my training!"
Sharlo's Conqueror's Haki grew fiercer, red-black lightning crackling around him, disrupting Zephyr's Observation Haki. This relentless assault kept Zephyr on the defensive.
"Such a troublesome Conqueror's Haki! I can't believe someone like you joined the Rocks Pirates!" Zephyr's fists clashed with Sharlo's, his voice mixed with other emotions.
"Why did I join? Because you Marines were too weak! Rocks found me before I could decide whether to be a pirate or a Marine. He forced me to join," Sharlo recalled his humiliating recruitment.
Zephyr fell silent. Part of him felt ashamed that someone like Sharlo had become a pirate. Another part was awed by Sharlo's rapid rise in just two years. Could he surpass his captain, Rocks? Another powerful and unpredictable force might emerge in the seas.
"No more talk! I will capture you and throw you into Impel Down!" Zephyr roared, his fist aimed at Sharlo.
"Hahaha! If you can, then bring it on!" Sharlo's Conqueror's Haki-infused fist met Zephyr's.
Their clash shattered the ground, uprooted trees, and sent waves crashing. The Navy and pirate ships anchored nearby rocked violently, halting their cannon fire.
"Vice Admiral Zephyr!"
"Boss!"
Both sides stopped fighting to watch the shore battle.
"The sky is cracking!" someone noticed, astounded.
Everyone, pirate and Marine alike, looked up. The entire island seemed to quiver under the impact of Sharlo and Zephyr's battle.
"Terrifying! Big news! Big news!" Morgans captured every moment, wishing he could broadcast it live to the world.
The battle raged on.

"Wahahahaha! Head in that direction!" Rocks ordered as the Rocks Pirates entered the Ed War Sea, feeling the ocean's fury.
At Rocks' command, all pirate ships moved towards the indicated direction.
...
"We mustn't let the Rocks Pirates get there first. We must arrest Pirate Sharlo before they arrive," Admiral Kong urged as he arrived at the Ed War Sea.
"Admiral Kong! Head that way. They're over there!" Sengoku directed, sensing the fight ahead.
"Good! Move out!" Kong ordered, leading a fleet of large Navy ships towards the battle.
This confrontation had grown beyond a simple clash between the Navy and the Rocks Pirates, or even between Sharlo and Zephyr.

Sabaody Archipelago, Island 17, in a tavern:
"Captain Roger! Big news! Vice Admiral Zephyr is fighting the Rocks Pirates officer, Blood Sword Hero Sharlo, in the Ed War Sea. The Navy has dispatched thirteen warships, and the Rocks Pirates are sending sixteen large pirate ships. A massive war is expected!" an informant for the Roger Pirates shouted, holding a secret report.
"Roger, it's true!" First mate Rayleigh confirmed, holding a newspaper.
Roger snatched the papers, frowning. "Sigh!"
He looked at his crew. "Men! Our journey must pause. We need to intervene in this conflict!" Roger declared seriously.
Rayleigh and the crew listened attentively.
"Back to the New World! Join the battle!" Roger commanded loudly.
"Roar!" The Roger Pirates responded with fierce cheers.
"Sigh! What can we do?" Rayleigh sighed, shaking his head at their enthusiasm.
"Hahaha! Rayleigh, let's stop this conflict!" Roger slung an arm around Rayleigh's shoulders, laughing.
"You're the captain," Rayleigh conceded with a shrug.
"Hahaha! Coating! Our destination: Ed War Sea in the New World!" Roger laughed, as the crew began coating their ship to dive to Fish-Man Island and head to the New World.

Holy Land, Mariejois:
"No! Absolutely not! Contact Kong immediately. It's not time to confront the Rocks Pirates head-on. Recall them now!" Saturn, one of the Five Elders, shouted.
