I was completely blown away by the rewards. This hidden mission didn't just offer herbs and candies—it included a fucking Legendary Pokémon.
My eyes widened as I reread the panel, making sure I hadn't misunderstood it. Alongside the Grass Type Secret Treasure (Miracle Seed), Revival Herbs, Full Restores, and Rare Candies, there was Kubfu, a rookie-stage Legendary Pokémon, and the elementary stage of the Aura ability.
This wasn't just any reward—it was a game-changer. Kubfu was legendary for a reason, with insane strength and potential. And with the Aura ability, I was looking at a whole new level of power and training.
My heart pounded with excitement and disbelief.
I claimed the reward with a mix of excitement and awe coursing through me. As I did, a luxurious ball materialized in my hand, its surface gleaming with an iridescent sheen. The weight of its significance settled in my palm, a tangible symbol of the legendary Pokémon waiting to be unleashed.
I released Kubfu from its Luxury Ball. A brilliant white light erupted from the ball, illuminating the surroundings as it took shape. The light gradually dimmed, revealing a small yet formidable figure standing before me.
Kubfu's eyes were sharp and focused, exuding an aura of strength and determination. Its fur was a mix of soft gray and white, and it stood with a stance that radiated confidence. Despite its small size, I could feel the power and potential emanating from this legendary Pokémon.
Kubfu regarded me with a curious yet respectful gaze, as if assessing its new trainer.
"Welcome to the team, Kubfu," I said, extending my hand. Kubfu stepped forward, placing its paw in my hand, sealing our partnership.
As I looked at Kubfu, a digitalized golden panel appeared in front of me.

I was incredibly excited to have my very own Legendary Pokémon. The system had truly been generous. Eager to make the most of this opportunity, I asked the system for a training plan for Kubfu. To my satisfaction, the system's suggestions aligned closely with my own ideas.
I turned to Kubfu and explained the plan. "We'll focus on practicing your Focus Energy move as it is very beneficial with its talent & along with Rock Smash," I said. "We'll target suitable Pokémon that appear on our way to Pallet Town."
[Ding! Congratulations host for upgrading Aura (elementary) --> Aura (intermediate)]
My skills are really wonderful, especially Adaptive evolution. With about 5 km left to travel, I knew this was the perfect chance to get some training and get use to Aura. Kubfu nodded, ready and eager to start. Together, we set off, toward our destination.
The Pokémon Kubfu fought so far were nothing extraordinary. We encountered and battled common Pokémon like Rattata, Zigzagoon, Caterpie, Weedle, and Bellsprout.
Kubfu practiced his Focus Energy move, sharpening his concentration, and then unleashed Rock Smash on these Pokémon. Each battle, though relatively simple, was valuable for honing his skills and building his confidence. As we continued our journey towards Pallet Town, I could see Kubfu growing stronger and more adept with each encounter.
At this moment, my Rotom Phone displayed a notification on its screen and started speaking to me.
{Sir, we are about 250 meters from the river.}
"Ok, Rotom, thank you," I said, appreciating the update. Earlier, I had hoped to catch a good water Pokémon, but now that I already had three Pokémon to train and would be staying in Pallet Town for the next two months, it seemed wise to hold off. However, I decided to keep an eye out for any Pokémon that might catch my interest.
As I approached the river, the soothing sound of flowing water filled the air, accompanied by the occasional splash as water collided with a large rock in the middle of the stream. Nearby, a few Pokémon were drinking from the river, including Poochyena, Zigzagoon, and Linoone. The serene scene offered a perfect moment to rest and observe the local Pokémon.
I then told my Pokémon to rest, knowing they had been practicing their moves diligently on the way here. I took out the Pokéblocks along with some berries from my bag.
I gave them their fill, knowing that Pokéblocks were highly nutritious. A normal adult Pokémon eats about 4-5 pieces per meal. Since my Pokémon were still in their growth phase, they consumed 3-4 pieces per meal, considering their move practice and battle training, which made them use energy at a faster rate. It was important for them to rest after a good training session to avoid putting too much strain on their bodies. The Pokéblocks provided by the system were of particularly high quality, ensuring that my Pokémon received the best nourishment possible.
"Here you go, enjoy your meal," I said, handing the Pokéblocks and berries to Beldum, Tangela, and Kubfu. They eagerly ate, replenishing their energy and relaxing by the river.
I also ate some berries as I walked towards the river. So far, Rotom hadn't notified me of any rare Pokémon, which meant there were none nearby.
Curious about what might be hidden in the river, I decided to use my Aura abilities to scan the area. I focused my mind and reached out with my aura powers, probing the waters for any signs of Pokémon that might catch my interest. I hadn't checked Rotom's screen for nearby Pokémon, so this was a good opportunity to see if there was anything intriguing in the river.
But I found nothing except a low-quality Water Stone buried deep in the riverbed, which I collected using my psychic abilities. Around me, a multitude of Magikarps swam peacefully. Some were near the Water Stone, catching my attention. I scanned them, noting that most had beginner potential, while a few showed signs of intermediate potential.
As I watched them glide through the water, a fleeting thought crossed my mind: perhaps one day, I'll encounter a shiny golden Magikarp. Catching it and evolving it into a ferocious red Gyarados would be a thrilling achievement.
I began to imagine riding on that powerful Gyarados along the shores and across the seas. The thought of such a formidable companion filled me with excitement and determination for future adventures.
For now, though, I returned my focus to the present, enjoying the tranquility of the river and the company of my Pokémon as they rested and regained their strength.
After a restful break, we gathered our belongings and began to move towards Pallet Town.
