Chương 84: Chapter 84: The Unexpected Guest
After dealing with a bunch of customers that were a mix of story-hungry reporters, curious freelancers and more, Lucas sighed with relief and plopped onto the seat beside the checkout counter.
Glancing at the mission progress on his interface that displayed forty three out of one hundred (43/100), Lucas felt a bit satisfied.
The mission was to receive one hundred customers before the month was over, however, there was no distinction between old and new customers. This made the task easier, but not by much. Lucas' old customers were few to start with, and it was not everyday one would want a basic or advanced repair. Most freelancers didn't maintain their equipment often unless it was damaged. Apart from that, they were usually at the Wastelands base station, where there were other stores who could offer the same services, albeit not of equal quality.

Homeless_Author In case you're wondering, the 3 chps/day was supposed to end yesterday, but I'm 3 chapters behind schedule.
Yesterday, my mom injured her leg and couldn't move around so easily. We usually have our grocery shopping at the first or last Saturdays of the month (usually my sis and my mom while we do the usual Saturday cleaning); yesterday was the first and we were out of food items. My sister travelled and there was no way I was letting my mom leave the house with an injury that made walking difficult for her, so I handled the grocery shopping and also the cooking. This led to me not having much time to write.
So, even though Sundays is usually my break day (started this last month), I'll make sure to finish the three chapters today.
As for my mom, she's a bit better today (doesn't hop or drag her feet as much), and yes, we applied treatment to it yesterday. Sorry for the inconveniences.
