Although 'Storm Knights' are bound by the maxim, "I am the vanguard," Byron never acted rashly. Initially, they targeted only first-tier attendants, giving the impression that he, too, was at the attendant level, thus lulling the enemy into underestimating him. 

Within the alliance, there was only one mid-sequence supernatural individual, Edward Redbeard. Before each strike, Guss would stealthily scout the privateering alliance's anchorage.

After confirming the great pirate's location and eliminating the greatest threat, they would not actively pursue the remaining second-tier pirates, yet they did not fear them either. This was purely for risk management, as second-tier pirates were deemed less cost-effective than their first-tier counterparts.
