Chương 35: Chapter 35 : Half-Brothers!
A tall figure was frozen inside the refrigerator, his eyes shut, and he seemed to be completely lifeless! If it weren't for the faint trace of life Buggy could still detect through his senses, he would have thought this was a corpse!
Mr. 3 looked at the figure in the refrigerator with suspicion. "Byrnndi World? Who is he? I've never heard of him. Is he alive?"
"He's still alive," Buggy explained. "It's not surprising that you haven't heard of him. He's been frozen for thirty years! Thirty years is more than enough for a name to fade into obscurity."
Mr. 3 was surprised. "If he's been locked up here for thirty years, he must have been a formidable monster back then!"
Buggy chuckled softly. "Formidable, but not exactly a monster. He was only a second-tier powerhouse back in the day, far behind the likes of Whitebeard and Golden Lion Shiki!"
Mr. 3 nodded and asked, "Should we release him? He doesn't look like he's in good shape."
"I remember him being a hopeless madman with a deep grudge against the World Government. It could be interesting to let someone like him out!" Buggy said, turning and signaling to Ivankov in the distance.
With Ivankov's Horm-Horm Fruit ability, reviving World should be quick work! Ivankov was currently engaged in a conversation with Luffy. After Ivankov pointed at Buggy, Luffy ran over eagerly!
Bullet grabbed Luffy with one hand and lifted him up, pinching the straw hat on Luffy's back with the other. His eyes narrowed slightly. "Kid, where did you get this straw hat?"
"No way, I'll tell you! Who are you? Let me go!" Luffy protested.
As Luffy shouted and tried to break free, a massive hand suddenly reached out from the side and seized him completely.
"Let Luffy go, you jerk!" shouted the nearby Hancock.
Before Luffy could say more, Boa Hancock, unable to stand it any longer, kicked Bullet, who was holding Luffy's wrist!
"What a reckless move!"
Bullet waved his hand, and a powerful slap landed on Boa Hancock, sending her flying!
Ignoring the commotion around him, Bullet kept his focus on Luffy. "Where did you get that hat?"
Boa Hancock somersaulted in the air and landed firmly on the ground, poised to charge at Bullet again.
"Hancock, hold on. This isn't the time for conflict!" Ivankov raised a hand to restrain Boa Hancock, then turned to Bullet. "Bullet, what do you intend to do?"
Bullet recognized the straw hat on Luffy's back immediately—it was unmistakably Roger's hat!
Roger had cherished that straw hat deeply. Now, twenty years later, seeing it on a young man reminded Bullet of something profound.
But Luffy was behaving just like Roger—headstrong and refusing to acknowledge Bullet's presence, struggling against his grasp.
Frowning, Bullet felt a deepening connection in his heart. This rebellious nature was eerily reminiscent of Roger's own.
"Don't misunderstand. Shanks gave this hat to him, not Captain Roger!" Buggy interjected, speaking up with meaning. "However, the person you're thinking of does indeed exist."
Luffy continued to struggle fruitlessly against Bullet's iron grip.
Upon feeling this, Bullet threw Luffy aside, looked at Buggy, and asked, "So you're saying Roger had the bloodline to survive in this world?"
Buggy smiled knowingly. "Originally, this was a secret. But considering the timing, the Navy Headquarters is about to reveal it."
Bullet's eyes narrowed. Suddenly, realization dawned on him. "You mean Ace, who's about to be executed publicly at the Navy Headquarters."
His voice trailed off as Bullet made a startling connection.
Ace. Roger's sword back then had been called Ace—Whitebeard's adopted son—is also called Ace. Bullet had never linked Ace to Roger before, but now, thanks to Buggy's revelation, everything fell into place.
Buggy nodded in agreement, "That's right, Ace is the son of Gol D. Roger!"
"What, what!? Ace is Roger's son?!"
"How is that possible? Does Pirate King Gol D. Roger even have a son?!"
"Wait, isn't Fire Fist Ace Whitebeard's son? How did he suddenly become Roger's son?!"
Buggy and Bullet's words hit the prisoners like a thunderbolt, causing an uproar of disbelief!
The shock from this revelation was comparable to the news of an impending war between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Navy Headquarters!
Luffy sprang to his feet and shouted as soon as he heard Buggy mention Ace.
"So I don't have time to waste here! If you don't hurry, you'll never catch up!"
Bullet glanced at Luffy and then at Buggy, asking, "So who is this guy?"
Buggy chuckled, "He's Ace's half-brother, and Shanks has high hopes for him!"
"Hey!" Luffy stormed up to Buggy, grabbed him by the collar, and shouted, "Are you listening to anyone? Can we hurry up? I need to save Ace!"
Before Buggy could respond, Bullet's cold voice cut in, "Hmph, Roger's son is no different from Roger himself. If you need someone to save you, you might as well give up! The weak have no place in this world!"
Luffy turned to Bullet, enraged, and roared, "What are you talking about?!"
Bullet sneered, "I said, if Ace is captured by the Navy, it's better for him to die! His survival is a disgrace to Roger's name!"
"You! Don't talk badly about Ace! Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"
Luffy threw a powerful punch toward Bullet, aiming to strike!
"Bang!"
Buggy intervened, slapping Luffy to the ground while smiling at Bullet, "Don't judge a person by a single failure. Aren't you also defeated by the Navy and captured here?"
A vein popped on Bullet's forehead as he clenched his fists.
Buggy smiled and, not waiting for Bullet to get angrier, continued, "Alright, it's almost time to leave! Inazuma, set up a staircase to the ceiling. Ivankov, wake up Bundy!"
As soon as the plan to leave was mentioned, Luffy, who was about to argue with Buggy, quickly pushed aside his frustration and focused on Inazuma.
Inazuma, without saying a word, transformed his hand into scissors and began cutting through the ground.
"Scissors!"
Luffy's eyes widened in admiration at Inazuma's skills!
Ivankov also moved to the large 'refrigerator' and began treating World.
"Red-nose, aren't you headed to the Navy Headquarters? Take me with you!" Hancock demanded.
