Ingort and Xinlandon indeed had vastly different layouts.
Xinlandon gave the impression of a dirty, dirty wrap, layer upon layer. The haphazardly growing Downtown District resembled an onion wrapped in layers upon layers of ruins. The abandoned sewers from the noon era before Dayfall mingled with the new city areas, then sprouted new, chaotic sewer regions. Several major earthquakes were like huge scars that penetrated the city, yet new areas had extended above these scars… On the whole, it was chaos. If more words were to be used to describe it, then you'd have to add crowded, filthy…
Speaking of which, deep underground there was another Xinlandon's "Uptown District" that Ybur abruptly realized he could have visited a long time ago… given his ability to burrow. But exploring the Uptown District had never been a particularly urgent matter, so Ybur had never set off.
Ingort was another matter.
This was a very "normal" city.
