Chương 22: Chapter 20: Divine Doctor plus Swindler 1 (Please Collect)

Tang Xin had been feeling restless lately, ever since she came back from Puzhao Temple, she felt something was wrong with her body, the words of that young girl still lingered in her ears after so many days.

"Madam, please be careful, you are pregnant with the young master now, you must look after your health."

The servant quickly stepped forward to support Tang Xin and, seeing her constant unease, couldn't help but advise, "Madam, you must relax, if not for yourself, then for the sake of the young master in your belly. I know you must still be thinking about what that girl said, but Madam, would you really rather believe such an unreliable swindler?"

Tang Xin shook her head; today was the thirteenth day that the girl had spoken of. She didn't want to think about it, yet she couldn't help but dwell on it.

Although she didn't quite believe the girl's words, she still had a family doctor come to her home as soon as she got back to keep an eye on her condition. She feared that this child would still be out of her reach. When she got home, she also confessed to her husband that she was pregnant. Although he reproached her somewhat, he still took great care of her, recently pushing aside much of his work just to spend more time with her.

Seeing Tang Xin still anxious, the servant urged her again, "Madam, how about I accompany you for a walk in the back garden?"

"Okay." Tang Xin nodded and was just about to move forward when she saw a familiar tall figure walking toward her. Her face lit up with joy as she greeted him, "How did you get back, don't you have work that requires your personal attention?"

The newcomer was handsome, around thirty-five or thirty-six years old, Tang Xin's husband Jing Feng, and also the Chairman of Xinda Group. Xinda Group was one of the top conglomerates in Chuandu City. Tang Xin's family background was quite good too; her father was the mayor of Peng County, her mother a typical housewife, and they had fallen in love and eventually married Jing Feng.

They had both lived in Chuandu City, but because Tang Xin had lost several children, they moved to Peng County to find a quiet place for her to recuperate and avoid the sorrowful reminders.

"I've finished handling it, so I came back to be with you. How are you feeling today?" Jing Feng tenderly embraced Tang Xin, his soft eyes lingering on Tang Xin's still-flat belly. He longed and hoped that this child would indeed be safe and born healthy, but he knew it was difficult. They had consulted countless renowned doctors, even abroad, but none could save their children. His wife had been off since she came back home more than ten days ago, and it took a long stretch before she confessed to him about encountering a strange girl who said they couldn't keep their child. He comforted his wife, unwilling to believe these charlatans and encouraged her to rest easy and nurture her pregnancy.

"Not too bad." She mustered a smile, masking the worries deep within her.

"Well, the weather is nice today, let me keep you company on a stroll," Jing Feng said as he held Tang Xin, ready to take a leisurely walk with his wife.

"Okay." Tang Xin nodded, and they walked toward the back garden together.

But after just a few steps, she felt a sudden, intense pain in her lower abdomen that turned her face white, "Ah Feng, quick, call the doctor."

Jing Feng's face changed instantly, and he immediately instructed a nearby servant to find the home's doctor, "Quickly, go get Dr. Song."

While speaking, he picked up Tang Xin horizontally and headed towards the villa.

The servant's complexion wasn't good either, and not daring to delay, he ran towards the villa, shouting loudly for the doctor, "Dr. Song, Dr. Song!"

Leaning in Jing Feng's embrace, Tang Xin clasped her lower abdomen with her right hand. Her mind went blank, overwhelmed by intense sorrow. Could it be that she really couldn't keep her child?

Thirteen days from today, at noon, the lady's child will have problems. If you believe me, it's best to have a doctor stay at home, but I can't guarantee they will be able to save your child.

If the lady wants to keep the child, come find me at No. 16 Guanyin Town. My name is Qin Qin.

Suddenly, the words of the girl named Qin Qin surfaced in her mind, "Today is exactly noon, thirteen days later; could she really have the ability to foretell the future, to divine?"

"Ah Feng… that girl…"

Jing Feng thought Tang Xin was scared and hurriedly comforted her, "Don't worry, Ah Xin, nothing will happen, our child will be fine."

He anxiously kicked open the bedroom door, laid Tang Xin on the bed, and Dr. Song entered the room with urgency, examining the pain-stricken Tang Xin, but ultimately shook his head forcefully, "Mr. Jing, you should take your wife to the hospital, this child… cannot be saved."

"No, no, that can't be, doctor, you must save my child." Tang Xin tried to get up, but was held back by Jing Feng.

"Ah Xin, calm down, I'll take you to the hospital right now." Although Jing Feng had a bad feeling and knew this would be the outcome, his heart still ached when Dr. Song announced it; was this child not going to make it either? This was their fourth child, and still not able to make it? It seemed so unfair; both he and Tang Xin often did good deeds, hoping that their good intentions would persuade the heavens to bless them with a child, yet the outcome was still the same.

Suppressing the pain in his heart, Jing Feng bent down to pick up Tang Xin, but she pushed him away.

Tang Xin grabbed Jing Feng's clothing on both arms, speaking rapidly, "Quick, quickly go to number 16 in Guanyin Town to find a girl named Qin Qin."

At this moment, she could only choose to believe in the words of the girl named Qin Qin; she wanted to gamble, to bet that the girl really had the skill.

"Ah Xin, do you know what you're saying? You actually… Come quickly with me to the hospital, there might still be a chance to save the child if we go." Jing Feng's face showed his pain, struggling to understand why Tang Xin would want him to find that unknown girl at a time like this.

Biting her lower lip, Tang Xin endured the pain, "I know, Ah Feng, just consider this my plea to you, please quickly help me find that girl, will you?"

Seeing Tang Xin like this, Jing Feng closed his eyes, and immediately asked the servant standing by to have the driver go find someone.

The servant left the room.

Dr. Song, seeing this, remained unflinching in his expression, "Mr. Jing, how can you indulge your wife's whim like this? Your wife's child is definitely beyond saving. You should still take her to the hospital quickly; I'm afraid it might be too late and she might also be in danger."

What on earth was this family thinking? Not going to the hospital, but instead looking for a girl named Qin Qin; what could that girl do?

Jing Feng didn't speak, just sat beside the bed, wiping the cold sweat caused by the pain off Tang Xin's forehead.

Dr. Song stood aside with an ugly expression, silent, curious to see what this family and the girl named Qin Qin were going to do.

Tang Xin looked at her lower abdomen, enduring the intense pain.

Child, you must hold on, you must.
