Chương 14: Chapter 14: Juvia's Thanks, and Leone's Attack*
"Yo, Juvia!" Eventually, the crowd dispersed, leaving Juvia some space and time to breathe. I walked over to her with a raised hand, waving at her which brought a small smile to her face.
"Solis, hello" She nodded, appreciating my greeting, "May Juvia speak with you?" She asked, pointing her hand towards the empty table closest to a corner of the guild which she usually sat in. I nodded, following her as we took a seat opposite one another.
"Nice look-change, by the way" I begun, seemingly catching Juvia off-guard as her eyebrows twitched in surprise, "I've gotta say, you look beautiful" I complimented, giving her a big smile.
"J-J-" Her face flushed, stuttering as she composed herself by taking a deep breathe and twirling one of the strands of her hair in front of her, "T-Thank you... J-Juvia thinks you look g-good too" She looked away shyly.
It seemed she wasn't used to people, or guys rather, complimenting her... or maybe she was, I don't know, I'm not Juvia.
"So" I noticed her being embarrassed, so I decided to change the topic to its original purpose, "Why'd you want to speak with me? Not that I mind" I questioned, confused as to why she not only vanished for a whole week-, "Oh, yeah, and why DID you just go ghost for a week?"
She tilted her head adorably, "'Go Ghost'...?" She was confused with the term, so I simplified it by saying "Disappeared... vanish... y'know, like a ghost". She placed her hands together and opened her mouth to make an "Ohhhh" sound in realisation, "Before Juvia explains why she 'went ghost' for a week, Juvia must begin by thanking you for opening up Juvia's eyes" She stood up and appeared beside me, bowing at a right angle in a snap, causing her ponytail to nearly fall out and hit me in the face.
I looked around and, thankfully, for both mine and her sakes, no one had their eyes facing us. I looked at her still bowing, thanking me profusely for whatever reason... I didn't really do much, I don't think - if anything, I feel like she should, and expected her to, hate me for breaking her heart, albeit indirectly.
"Hey hey..." I stood up, placing my hands on her shoulders and pushing her up back to normal, "You don't need to do all this, at all! Shouldn't you, like, I dunno... hate me?! I mean, I kinda broke your heart. didn't I?" With my hands remaining placed on her shoulders, she brought her hands up to mine and shook her head slowly
"No... If anything, Juvia is grateful that she will no longer be chasing after a man blindly" She had a sad smile on her face, "Gray was Juvia's first love, and Juvia is thankful to him for being the one to make Juvia see sunlight for the first time..." Her lips trembled, her face lowered to look at the floor, "But..." She raised her head, looking at me with a smile, her lips trembling slightly, "Juvia would like to see if someone else exists in the world, able to love Juvia as much as Juvia loves he..."
Wow... that was pretty deep. I opened my mouth, ready to claim her as the one to swoop her off her feet but... nothing. Nothing came out
Well, how could it? Juvia wishes for someone to love her as much as she does him... and how can I be the one to do that when I'm going around having sex with other women...? I felt like crap, to be honest, but I didn't want to shatter Juvia's hope and expectations so I simply took hold of her hands and lowered them, holding them out in between us
"I'm sure you will, Juvia..." I weakly smiled, my chest sore as I felt my heart drop looking at Juvia smiling warmly, "I'm sure you will..." I repeated, releasing her hands and turning around, my back turned to Juvia as I began to make my way out of the guild, "See ya later" I waved, not turning around as I left the guild after staying for not so long.

Currently, I was laying in my filled bathtub. After leaving the guild for the day, I decided to take my mind off things by relaxing in the bath, and, for once, kind of hoped that no one would knock on my door or ring the doorbell.
"Hah..." I sighed tiredly, closing my eyes as my head cocked back out of the bath, looking up at the ceiling as I rested my arms on the sides of the tub and began to man-spread (A/N: The bathtub is like a normal rectangular one, but slightly bigger in both length and width - which is why two people can fit relatively easily)
"My... that was a shitshow from you, hot-ster" I heard the familiar, teasing voice of Leone enter my ears. I opened one eye and saw her outside the tub, leaning onto the bath with her arms crossed and resting beside mine.
"'Hot-ster'? What's that meant to mean, exactly?" I asked, opening my other eye slowly as I saw her smirk, her singular fang showcasing itself.
"You're a hottie and you're my master, so you're my Hot-ster! Good name, right? Yeah, I know" She held her nose up high, her smirk remaining on her face as she didn't even allow me to answer her question, "But seriously..."
