"Anyway, did you guys witness something related to a future?" Sasuke asked. He was not shocked anymore.
Uchihas don't get shocked for too long.
"Well, not anything relevant, but we saw something incredible from the past," Sora said while looking at Shikamaru.
The latter just shrugged.
It's not anything that would cause some butterfly effect.
Plus, Kakashi was a high-ranking Jounin of the village.
So, him knowing is fine.
"Oh, what did you guys witness? Explain from the beginning then," Kakashi was eager to hear about it if it's safe for them to hear it.
He was expecting them to see something like Sasuke's daughter or something.
Even worse, Kakashi himself has kids in that future.
It seems Kakashi's wild imaginations are not going to come to fruition.
"Well, we somehow got into a dimension, or a plane? where time is not constant," Sora tried to explain, but seeing both of the people were confused, he thought of another way to explain.
Don't ask him how he can see Kakashi and Sasuke are confused even without having any obvious changes in their facial expressions.
"Let me take over," Shikamaru got up after finishing his food and took a branch.
"You guys see this point, right?" Shikamaru said to everyone while making a point on the dirt with the branch.
"This line is one-dimensional, that is, it can either go forward or backwards, possibly infinitely," Shikamaru paused to look at others to see if they were following along.
"Now, if we extend this infinite line in a direction perpendicular to this, we would get a 2-dimensional plane."
"Right," Kakashi already understood what Sora's earlier statement meant.
"We could say that a plane comprises infinite lines, all placed together, contributing to 2-Dimensional."
"Similarly, if I extend this plane, perpendicular to its surface or normally, I would get the 3rd Dimension, which comprises infinite planes, each plane having a location given by the 3rd dimension, which let's say is height." Sasuke also got what Shikamaru was trying to convey.
"Now, similarly infinite 3D space would contribute to the Fourth-dimensional, with possibly time giving us a point at any location,"
Shikamaru said and lay down on the ground... no, bed he summoned from his storage scroll.
"So, you guys were at a plane which is similar to being in the 4th dimension," Kakashi mused. He had heard about such a thing for the first time.
"Yeah, we saw a lot of things. We even saw an advanced human civilization technologically which met its end due to its own creation. Their last creation was to create an orb which would supposedly help them break into another world as they claimed their own world is a fabrication of somebody's," Sora said in one breath somehow.
Uzumaki genes.
"Is that so? The idea of our world being a fabrication is thought-provoking," Kakashi mused while taking out his favourite book.
"Wait, that guy said their world, not ours," Ino intercepted and jumped into the conversation.
"Why do you guys think that advanced civilization and our world are different? That civilization could have formed and destroyed itself either in the far past or in the far future. Who knows how many times humans have gone extinct and formed again? Heck, we don't even know if the previous creatures could be classified as humans or not," Kakashi's statement made everybody stop in their tracks.
This got abstracted very quickly.
Well, Shikamaru had already thought about this and Sora had given the line of thought some time, so he didn't have any existential crisis.
"Wait, so we could be somebody else's creation like fiction?" Ino said while barely maintaining her facade.
Sasuke, who was pondering, suddenly said, "...People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true… that is how they define reality. But what does it mean to be correct or true? Merely vague concepts… their reality may all be an illusion."
"Woah, that's deep. Didn't think you to be a ponderer, Sasuke," Sora commented.
"Yeah, me neither," Sasuke absentmindedly said. 'Where did I hear this? I feel like I have heard the exact set of words somewhere, but can't remember when. It's the same feeling when I feel like I had a bad dream, but don't remember its contents.'
"Anyway, let's not ponder about it too much. Who knows whether what that person said could be true or not? What happened to the orb?" Kakashi changed the topic after reading the room.
"Yeah, we tried Ino's shadow clone's mind possession, as we weren't able to interact directly with the plane. She possessed the body of Sasera," Sora pointed at the cat who was looking at Sasuke intensely for some reason.
"Is that so? Let me guess, this stupid cat ate that orb and somehow gained space-time powers," Sasuke said in a joking tone, trying to distract himself from his earlier thoughts.
"What?" Everyone stared at him. Do they think that Uchihas can't make jokes or something? They are very different from stuck-up Hyugas, 'talk about being rude,' Sasuke deadpanned.
"You guessed correctly, and we didn't say anything about Uchihas not being able to joke," Sora corrected him from his misunderstanding.
"Huh." 'Did I say that out loud?' Sasuke pondered while looking at the cat. No wonder his MS was acting up, it made sense.
"I see, then what happened next?" It seems only Kakashi was unfazed.
Talk about perverted experienced ninjas and their instincts.
"Well, time changed again, and we found ourselves... I don't know how many years?"
"150 years, I think. Would need to check. We saw my clan's legendary Clan Head Kasumi Yamanaka."
"Oh, is that so? How strong was she?" Kakashi knew that jutsu was not as refined at that time, so he was curious.
"Well, I would say Elite-jounin to Low S-rank," Sora's words made Kakashi's eyes widen.
"How old was she?" He promptly asked, internally guessing her age to be '30'.
"19," Ino's answer made Kakashi almost drop his book.
"Tell me more about your encounter."
"Well, some things happened. We saw her killing a Jounin and chunins by using Mind Transfer from a branch. By the time she landed, the enemy ninjas were already killed. She looked cool." Even Sasuke was impressed; he didn't think that Yamanakas could be cool.
He can't be blamed when the only Yamanaka he properly knows is a fangirl and the worst fangirl of his.
"Well, I sent a shadow clone after her. Sasera had found us, making us shift in that time physically. I was in her office, so she used Shadow Possession and identified me as a Uzumaki instantly. I was barely able to dispel Shadow Clone Jutsu before she used Mind Transfer," Sora shivered at the memory.
He was almost violated mentally.
"Oh, I guess you guys were lucky that it was a shadow clone. I don't think you would have escaped if your physical body was there," Kakashi said from experience, for some reason recalling the memory of facing Orochimaru's killing intent when he was a kid.
"She was also a Nara too? Damn, I guess, in the hands of a prodigy, kekkei genkais are deadly," Sasuke commented while recalling how Itachi was a prodigy.
Even if Itachi hadn't had Sharingan, he would have been at least on the level of Kakashi's genius.
"Well, we talked there only, and she found us. Due to her previous route to her base being a long route, she even overheard our conversation and deduced that we were from the future. I think her intelligence was comparable to Shikamaru's."
"Damn, I guess a motivated Nara is really deadly," Kakashi didn't really want to fight her, if she was as smart as Shikamaru and a prodigy as these guys were saying.
"Not only that, she didn't seem keen on hurting us, so we tried to escape, but after seeing my body flicker, she instantly improved her own body flicker, which increased her speed by another factor. Heck, I might not be able to keep up with her with my top speed."
This made Sasuke and Kakashi's eyes widen.
Sora's speed is high in terms of Jounin level. Heck, not even an Elite Jounin can claim to be faster than him unless they are specializing in speed.
"Not only that, did you know what happened when I threw a water bullet at her? She fucking caught it with her hand and threw it back at me. Her chakra control was ridiculous," Sora was ranting at this point.
Sasuke and Kakashi were shocked as reaching such levels of chakra control was ridiculous. Heck, even theoretically it doesn't sound plausible.
'The only person I know who has good chakra control talent is Tsunade-sama. She had said that she could do something similar but not in a combat situation. Maybe Sakura might be able to do that at her peak,' Kakashi pondered about his students.
It seems that he had got a golden package of talents.
The only problem for the kids seems to be that their sensei are slackers.
