Chương 18: Chapter 18 - Desert

Ravenna nodded, her hands clenched and her heart steady as she understood Lumina's words.

Becoming like the first queen was no easy task. It required resolve and the will to move forward with whatever you had.

Crying over what you lost or being happy with what you have is a choice - a choice that determines whether you are a winner or a loser.

Like the sun, whether it's a cloudy day or rainy, it always rises and sets.

It's the sun's job and role in nature to stay consistent, always finding a way to shine through even when it seems impossible.

"Let's test it," Ravenna said, her voice firm with determination.

"Hmmm..." she mused, her gaze scanning the vast, empty desert before her.

A look of confusion appeared on Ravenna's face. She was truly in a desert, where as far as you could see, there was nothing but endless sand.

The wind blew the grains across her cheeks, and her hair became covered with the fine dust.

Ravenna, with the thought of finding someone or some living creatures to test her new armor, began to roam the desert.

As she moved, her new armor scraped along the bottom, leaving a trail in the sand. Each step she took left deep footprints, the soft sand giving way under her weight.

Her footsteps created a distinct path, each print surrounded by small mounds where the sand had been pushed aside. The trail of her steps stretched behind her, marking her journey through the vast, empty landscape.

The heat of the sun beat down on her, making her acutely aware of her surroundings. She hadn't realized she was in a desert until she started to move, but now that her mind was focused, she felt every detail of it.

The hot sand beneath her feet, the dry air, and the distant horizon that seemed to stretch on forever.

Her brain worked to adapt to this new reality. When she first emerged from the endless dimension, her mind had been occupied with Lumina and the creation of her armor.

But now, with her focus shifting to the here and now, her senses became sharper, more attuned to the desert environment.

It was as if her brain, initially overwhelmed by the vast emptiness, was now adjusting to the new setting, picking up on the subtle changes in the wind, the shifting of the sand, and the intensity of the sun.

The challenge of the desert mirrored her internal journey. Just as she needed to navigate this harsh terrain, she also needed to navigate her emotions and memories. The desert was a test, not just of her armor, but of her will and spirit.

"Hmmm... where, where, where," Ravenna muttered, putting her hand above her eyes to shield them from the glaring sun. She scanned the horizon, desperate to find something or someone to test her new armor on.

She kept repeating "where" under her breath, her frustration and anticipation growing.

Her muscles twitched with eagerness, and her heart pounded with excitement. After a thousand years, she would finally get the chance to test her power in a real situation.

This moment was not just about testing the armor; it was about discovering how much stronger she had become after unlocking the first seal of her power.

Ravenna's body buzzed with energy. Her hands clenched and unclenched, her breathing quickened, and every fiber of her being was alert, ready for action.

She could feel the power coursing through her veins, a tangible reminder of her new strength. The desire to unleash her abilities and see the full extent of her transformation was almost too much to handle.

She felt like a warrior on the brink of battle, filled with a mix of excitement, anticipation, and a touch of nervousness.

"Ahh!" Ravenna exclaimed after wandering for a long time in the desert. She found a monster, "Finally," she said with a mix of relief and excitement. She couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of the situation.

"After spending what felt like an eternity in an endless dimension, I end up in an endless desert," Ravenna mused. "It's like the universe has a weird sense of humor. First, it gives me an endless void, and now it gives me endless sand. At least this time, I have some company, even if it's a monster."

She laughed at her own joke, feeling a bit lighter despite the challenge ahead.

After seeing the living thing for the first time in what felt like ages, Ravenna's heart skipped a beat. At a distance, she spotted a group of monsters roaming the desert. These creatures were massive, almost as big as elephants.

They had two large horns sticking out from their heads, curving in a menacing manner. Their skin was rough and leathery, a dusty brown that blended perfectly with the desert sand.

It looked like they were wearing their own tough armor, their hides shimmering under the blazing sun. Their eyes were a deep brown, almost black, adding to their sinister appearance.

Two sharp tusks jutted out from their mouths, adding to their fearsome appearance. But what truly set them apart were their feet. Each step they took left a trail of flames, their feet bright red like the heart of a forge.

It was as if they were controlling the very essence of the fire, channeling its power with every movement.

The fire seemed to be an extension of their being, adding to the surreal, almost like sand burning in fire.
