Vaelrith followed King Eldrin through a series of winding corridors, the soft glow of the runes illuminating their path. The alcove they reached was adorned with intricate elven designs and overlooked the vast expanse of Eldoria below.

"Vaelrith," King Eldrin began, his voice a mix of warmth and concern. "I want to thank you for taking care of my daughter, Elysia."

Vaelrith nodded respectfully. "Elysia is a remarkable person. It has been an honor to have her by my side."

King Eldrin's stern expression softened slightly. "She has spoken highly of you. I trust her judgment, and it is clear that you have earned her respect. For that, you have my gratitude. You see, I didn't want to send her to the academy, but she insisted on going."

"Indeed," Eldrin sighed, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I have already lost my wife and son, and I didn't want to lose my daughter too."
