A Deal with the Devil, Perhaps a Vampire?

Note: I rewrote chapters 8 and 9. The time skip part was a very terrible decision of mine. I feel hollow when writing the skip timeline. Too many parts were wasted because of my impatience in writing the chat group. His war with Odin didn't show, his raids and his conquests didn't show, his relationship with Altrouge didn't show, even Arcueid and Rita's part is neglected. So much potential is wasted because of my impatience. Now, enjoy the rewrite, and I assure you there is not a single word repeated from the old version. It's a wholly new version with the MC's epic battle with Valkyries under Odin's hand.

"Curse you, vampires, curse! The Allfather will never forgive any of you!" The shrieks of Slavic tribe members echoed through the night as the fang sank into his neck, turning him into an undead, who then began to attack his fellow members one after another.

After his departure from Millennium Castle, Titus led his clan into the deep hinterland cold of the north that would be known as Russia in the future for his future empire.

From the beginning to the end, when his undead attacked the tribes, Titus had never been present or led the undead himself in the raid. He divided his forces into many parts to add more numbers to his horde of undead.

The burning smoke could be seen in the vast land of the North.

Brynhildr's eyes blazed with fury as she gazed upon the burning villages. Leading the rescue operation with her three Valkyrie sisters, she was determined to save their tribe.

"Elder sister, what should we do? We've failed the Great God Odin to save the villagers," Hildr asked, her voice trembling.

"Since they betrayed the Allfather and became undead, we show them no mercy," Brynhildr declared. She wasted no more words, hurling her spear into the forehead of one of the undead before leaping into battle.

Her three Valkyrie sisters nodded, obeying their elder sister's command, and charged into the fray. The night echoed with the pig-like screams of the undead as the Valkyries effortlessly cut them down. Just as they were about to breathe a sigh of relief, Titus Brunestud appeared before them, stopping the tip of Brynhildr's spear with his finger.

"Well, well. It seems Odin sent his minions after us," he chuckled, effortlessly crushing Brynhildr's spear into pieces. With a swift kick to her stomach, he sent her reeling. Even as she blocked the blow with her hand, the force was so great that she vomited blood, her internal organs nearly destroyed by the vampire king's kick.

"How dare you disrespect the Allfather?" Ortlinde shouted, charging at him without hesitation.

Titus yawned, pulling and grabbing Thrud by gravity and using her as a human shield. Ortlinde's spear thrust into Thrud's back, and blood gushed out, splattering Ortlinde's face.

Her eyes widened in disbelief, tears welling up.

"Sorry, Thrud, I'm so sorry," Ortlinde whispered, her voice full of pain.

Before the battle was even decided, the Valkyries had already suffered a mental breakdown.

Titus smirked wickedly and threw Thrud in his hand into Ortlinde, then instantly moved in front of Brynhildr and punched her in the gut, forcing her to kneel before him.

His speed outmatched even for Brynhildr, who is famed for her swiftness.

He grabbed her hair, forcing her to look into his eyes.

No matter how much she resisted, she was no match for the True Ancestor. Her body stiffened, the resistance futile as shadows seemed to restrain her. The same fate befell her three Valkyrie sisters.

"You know, Valkyries, it's nothing personal. But a message needs to be sent," Titus said, shifting his gaze to Hildr.

"Tell Odin, his prized Valkyries will make delightful decorations for my throne room. If he wants to save his honor and pride, he should run between his tail to his Asgard, and I will consider mercy and light punishment for them."

"You... You... You will pay for this, monster. The Allfather will avenge us." Hildr, fuming in anger, refused to move from her spot and be used as a tool as a messenger by the vampire.

"Interesting..." Titus removed his hand from Brynhildr's hair and stood in front of Hildr.

He stroked her hair softly and whispered, leaning his lips against her ear.

"You can refuse indeed, but I can't guarantee that tonight your sisters wouldn't suffer."

"Don't listen to him, Hildr," Ortlinde shouted in despair. She wanted to lunge at this monster, but the shadow kept binding her.

Even Brynhildr was so powerless in front of the might of the King Vampire and stared at his back with silent fury.

"Okay..." Hildr relented and compromised as she hung her head down.

"I will send the message to the Allfather, please don't let my sisters suffer any harm."

"It's not for you to consider, dear Valkyrie. You only need to send the message. Whether your sisters are left intact depends on Odin's answer." Titus smirked. His whisper said nothing except the grim fate for them, yet, the hope was not lost on them. She heard the subtle message from the vampire. As long as she convinced Odin to leave this bitter cold land, then her sisters would be saved.

Her eyes brightened at the possibility, and she nodded.

"Good girl." Titus smirked, his movements more gentle than previously when he stroked her hair.

Whether it was Brynhildr, Thrud, or Ortlinde, disbelief was written across their faces.

Unknowingly to Hildr, her bright smile and comfortable expression from the vampire's stroking was seen by them. Even she didn't notice the fact.

Of course, it wasn't that Hildr suffered from Stockholm Syndrome or anything, but his subtle whisper about the possibility of saving her sisters intact made her happy. She was not very good at hiding that emotion and very unconscious when she leaked out that true emotion, which made her Valkyrie sisters misunderstand that she was betraying the Allfather and them in favor of the vampire's affection.

No one knew what their conversation was. That's why, from their perspective, when they saw Hildr being whispered to and stroked, she had a comfortable expression. They seemed to think that Hildr was suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

They saw her not as a savior but as someone potentially swayed by their enemy's dark charisma.

The seed of doubt had been sown. Titus then released the shadow binding Hildr and helped her stand up gentlemanly.

"Now go, Valkyrie. Their fate is in your hands."

...

Tell me your thoughts. Do you think this version is better or the old version was better? If you like the skip timeline where the MC's conquests and all of his relationships with his sisters are skipped and prefer a hundred years later, I will return the old version back. However, if you like this version, I will continue this and write all of his brutal conquests in the North in detail. His relationship with his sisters would come naturally too and not be skipped and dogshit like previously. However, the chat group would come late because of it too.
