Chương 45: Ch-45 < Recruits - I >
A/N~ it's time to recruit Flamechasers.
Kevin had spent days in the lab, undergoing rigorous tests and analyses.
Mobius, ever the meticulous scientist, was fascinated by the seamless integration of the Vritra essence into Kevin's body. "This is extraordinary," she mused, staring at the data. "Your cellular structure, it's as if you were born with these abilities."
Mei, equally engrossed, ran her own set of diagnostics. She had been worried about potential side effects, but the combination of Vishnu's powers, the system, and the Reason's capabilities had ensured that the Vritra essence blended perfectly with Kevin. His body functioned as though it had always been this way, with no signs of rejection or imbalance.
"Your vitals are stable, and your new abilities are fully integrated," Mei reported, her relief evident. "It's almost like you were meant to have this power."
Kevin nodded, a small smile playing on his lips as he gazed at Mei, Mobius, and Elysia.
During this time honkai has released a deadly virus killing many.
The plague, unleashed by the Honkai, was spreading rapidly, killing thousands each day.
Kevin knew that Otto had developed an antidote. Sometimes he wonder Otto might be better than Mei in scientific field.
He also remembered how they had taken drastic measures, killing those infected to prevent the virus from spreading further.
But there was hope. Su, along with his mentor, had successfully created a serum from the remains of those who had perished, a potential cure. Kevin knew that time was running out, and they needed to act quickly.
One day, Kevin sought out Mei. He found her in the lab, surrounded by data and holographic projections. She looked up as he approached, her expression softening as she saw him.
"Kevin," Mei greeted, a faint smile on her lips. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, Mei," Kevin replied, his tone serious. "But there's something important we need to discuss."
Mei's smile faded slightly as she sensed the urgency in his voice. "What is it?"
Kevin took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "The Herrscher of Wind has the ability to purify and heal. If we can harness that power, we could create a Divine Key capable of purifying the land and stopping the spread of this deadly virus."
Mei's eyes widened as she considered the implications. "A Divine Key with purification abilities… that could be exactly what we need to combat the plague. But creating such a key would be a massive undertaking."
"We have the full support of MOTH now," Kevin reminded her. "And we can get help from Vill-V. With her expertise in weaponry and technology, we could make this happen."
Mei nodded, already thinking of the logistics. "It's a brilliant idea, Kevin. But we'll need to act fast. The virus is spreading too quickly, and every day we delay costs more lives."
Later that day, Kevin, Mei, and Mobius met with Vill-V.

Kevin and Mei were waiting in the lab, discussing the final details of their plan to create a Divine Key capable of purifying the land.
So they decide to brought Vill-V.
As they spoke, the lab doors burst open, and in walked Vill-V.
"Hi! I'm Vill-V!" she exclaimed, her voice brimming with excitement. She eagerly shook both Mei's and Kevin's hands, her enthusiasm almost overwhelming. "I was recently released from prison, you know. They locked me up because I was spying on their secrets. I thought they were responsible for the Honkai Eruption!"
Kevin raised an eyebrow at her admission, but before he could say anything, Vill-V was already scanning the lab with wide, eager eyes. "I could make my magic here!" she said, practically bouncing with excitement.
Mei stared at Vill-V, slightly taken aback by the sudden and energetic introduction. Kevin, however, smiled warmly and introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Kevin. You can use your magic here. We need various weapons to fight the Honkai."
Vill-V's demeanor shifted dramatically. "Those are not weapons; they will be my creations, my children," she corrected him, her tone serious as if she were talking about something sacred. Kevin noticed the sudden change in her personality, while Mei looked at Vill-V with a mix of curiosity and caution.
"I've heard that you specialize in engineering?" Kevin asked, trying to steer the conversation back to their mission.
"Yes!" Vill-V responded, her personality flipping back to excitement. "My specialty is building anything with scraps!"
Kevin was impressed. "That's good. MOTH can provide you with any resources you need."
Vill-V's eyes gleamed again, and her personality seemed to shift once more. "That's very good," she said, a sly smile forming on her lips.
She then turned to Mei, her admiration for her clearly growing by the second. "I believe that with your creations and my engineering, we could make a new branch of magic!"
Vill-V's enthusiasm was contagious, but it was her next words that really caught Kevin's attention. "She's a genius! She made this Soulium in a matter of months!" Vill-V exclaimed, her voice filled with awe as she stared at Mei.
Kevin and Mei then briefed Vill-V on their plans. "A Divine Key to purify the land, huh?" Vill-V mused, her eyes lighting up with excitement once more. "I like it! This will be a fascinating project. We'll need to incorporate the Herrscher of Wind's abilities into the key's core, using Honkai energy as the power source."
As they talked, they moved towards the central console where Bronya was waiting. The moment Vill-V saw Bronya, she trembled with excitement. "Who created her?" Vill-V asked, her eyes wide with wonder.
"Kevin ni-sama," Bronya responded, pointing to Kevin.
Vill-V's curiosity intensified. "What material did you use? What's her composition? How does she function?" she asked, bombarding Kevin with questions.
Kevin smirked, realizing he had to manage Vill-V's enthusiasm. "I don't think you can replicate her. Her core is made from a Herrscher core, so forget about creating anything like Bronya."
Before Vill-V could respond, Bronya formed a small air gun and fired a harmless shot at Vill-V. "There is no need for another Bronya. Da Bronya is sufficient."
Kevin chuckled, finding Bronya's developing personality endearing. "Yes. Our Bronya is the cutest."
Bronya, pleased with Kevin's compliment, then began explaining the benefits of their three Divine Keys.
- "It will provide basic healing to normal health."
- "It will purify the air, removing toxins and pollutants."
- "The Honkai energy will be absorbed by the machine and compressed into Honkai crystals, which can act as a supplemental power source."
- "Honkai-polluted land will be cleansed, making it habitable again."
A/N ~With Kevin and bronya help. The Divine keys are powerfull than cannon
Mei and Vill-V were both impressed by the list of functions. "That's incredible," Mei said, a hint of pride in her voice.
Even Vill-V, who had seen and done so much, was taken aback. "Impressive," she murmured, her excitement growing again. "I'll design the key with an amplification system, so its purification range will be extensive. We'll also need to stabilize the Honkai energy to prevent any unintended side effects."
"Da Bronya can handle all the designing and software installation," Bronya interjected, her tone confident.
Vill-V and Bronya then began bickering, each trying to assert their expertise. Mei, sensing that the argument was getting out of hand, tried to calm them down. "And we'll need to ensure the key can cover large areas," she added, hoping to steer the conversation back to their mission.
Vill-V nodded enthusiastically, her personality shifting again. "Leave that to me," she said with a wide grin.
"That will be easy for Bronya," Bronya replied, not backing down.
Kevin, seeing the tension between Vill-V and Bronya, decided to redirect their energies. "Bronya, you could also work on creating a new battlesuit that can use Honkai crystals as a power source. This would significantly increase our combat power."
Kevin said, trying to keep the peace. He had again shamelessly stolen Mei's idea, one she will create later in story.
But this time the battlesuit will work on honkai crystals produced by third Divine Key.
Mei quickly agreed, hoping to stop the escalating rivalry. "Yes, that's a great idea," she said, jumping in to support Kevin's suggestion.
Vill-V seemed to accept the idea, though her competitive nature was still evident. "Alright, but I'm still leading the design on the Divine Key," she said firmly.
"Of course".
As they all returned to their tasks, Kevin couldn't help but smile. Vill-V was eccentric, unpredictable, and a little chaotic, but she was exactly what they needed to take on the Honkai.
