Chương 11: Gathering Resources
After he had formulated his plan, he immediately push it into action.
He sent forth his army of forty five false queens, fifteen for heads,first, second and third generation soldier ant and some backup worker.
His instructions were simply: raid any nest the find and bring the biggest of the enemies alive.
While the army matched forward he would be tended to by the door head and false queen that hatch before he took control from the queen, these false queen and door heads were simply too young and would barely make any difference in the upcoming battles.
During this time the queen was by his side..... Infact all the queens were by his side, being feed by few selected workers and laying eggs which would be given to him as life force supplement.
Two thing he had discovered recently.
One is that everyday he would need a large number of life force to sustain himself, as he is currently supposed to be dead yet every day he would exchange a large number of lives in exchange for his own.
And second was that eggs were more vital than ants.if he was to put it in points it would be like this, Any normal egg of a worker cast category is about 1.5 vitality while the workers themselves are simply 1 vitality.and then they are the eggs of this queens whose eggs have become mutated thanks to the lakes water, this eggs were about 2.2 vitality and that is from the worker cast.
Normal soldier— 1.8
Soldier egg— 2.5
Mutated soldier egg—2.8/1.9
Unique mutant eggs are even more prompt to give more lifeforce, like if the false queen was around forty normal workers(=forty life force nutrients)because of it's high concentration of lifeforce nutrients then a false queens egg is around fifty life force nutrients.
And with the help of the increased number of queens whom some of their eggs have even more life force nutrient than others like the termite, he never gets close to death.
Just because he had been concentrating on his physical body recently didn't mean he had forgotten about his magic like thought power. Everything he absorbed life force from anything that isn't an egg he would also be refining their mind fog into thought liquid and absorbing it.
Deep in his mental space which has expanded vastly and no trace of mental fog instead what was presented was a large blue sea that stretched far and wide and few meters above the sea waters was a single glowing blue marble.
after his thought had crystalized into that marble form the marble started cleaning his mind space a d removing the impurities which just so happened to be the mind fog. not only that, it hard also continuously expanded the mind space while balancing the entire mind space which should be called a mind realm now because of it's size .
With a little bit of concentration he sent his consciousness into his mental realm and he was in the form of a glowing ball of light.
This ball of light has no connection to his soul whatsoever and simply was a manifestation of his current self mentally. Meaning of he wanted he could manifest a dragon a human or any other forms he wanted, and it was simple his choice to appear like that.
Looking left and right at the vast sea of blueish water below his being, he was truly proud of his ability to gather and the marbles ability to produce liquified thoughts from the surrounding space like cloud gathering for rain.
'calling this a 'thought sea' wouldn't be wrong at this point,now would it' he thought.
Far from the nest, the army of ants had matched across many lands. Raiding, capturing, kidnapping and snatching everything that's moving and is large in size.
Ant nest? Raid
Termites? Raid
Small bee hive? Raid
Smaller hornet nest? Raid
This were their continues actions. And even more
They once came across large vegetation with aphids flourishing in it, not long afterwards the went in kill and ate smaller aphids while seizing the larger ones.
Not only were they taking living things but also things like honey produce by raided bees, and also the brood of ants,hornets and bee.
But this large movement attracted attention every where they went, most would avoid them yet few braver and hungry ones would attack. One of such incidents was when they were attack by a large gecko whom recked avock in the match,they needed five door heads as shields and twenty four false queens to take it down completely and now it's body is being dragged by four door heads.
The loses they suffer from only the geckos attack was over a quarter of a thousand soldiers before it was taken down.
And after a few more cases like that without them able to slay their enemy like they did with the gecko, the started returning with their harvest.
On their way back the saw two extremely large male Hercules beetles and wanted to take them yet the limited hands to carry such monsters back made them go on their way.
Upon reaching the nest, they quickly took the almost hundred living large bodies insect to the hideout, which had also been renovated and completely merged with the lake room.
At a certain corner of the now merge room were large stones, hundreds of them in different parts of the wall.
Behind this stones were cells, hundreds of individual cells made specifically to accommodate large numbers of large body insects.
After they put the insect in the cells they would then close them back up.
The puppet master immediately knew when they enter the ant nest as the queen had immediately received a chemical notification ahead and informed him,he immediately summoned the leading false queens and door heads while sending the others back outside.
Then he proceeded to check their memories to get his needed information, after all this are ant he didn't expect them to somehow report their activities to him.
'mmn.. bees,hornets,Ants, Mosquitoes,Small beetles, Wasps,butterflies,a dragonfly,grasshoppers,a pair centipedes,earwigs,four praying mantis,caterpillars, aphids and others' he thought with approval as he continued absorbing the information.
'I original expected them to bring only about ten to fifteen queens class insects whom would have thought they would instead plunder the entire eastern region.
'they even killed a large gecko? Isn't that like killing a dragon at this point... They brought back its corpse' the more he absorbed the more he enjoyed the heroic likeness of the ants adventure.
'well the loses were large as well....' he though as he digested the last piece of information.
'aren't those Hercules beetles? If I take those two and turn them into puppets I won't have to worry about mobility again....the best part is they are practically at my front door,I even have a hidden passage underneath them' he thought, then he sent out all the false queens and door heads to bring the Hercules beetles back.
Fifteen minutes later the return carry the Hercules beetles whom were unfairly ganged up against and dragged here against their wills.
