Dyson had no time to dodge as Klaus punched him hard in the jaw, the pain sending a hint of alarm into his eyes. He tried to steady his weight, but his legs involuntarily took two steps backward, each one rustling on the fallen leaves.
Dyson shook his head vigorously, trying to collect his thoughts. Unconsciously he leaned sideways to defend himself, and a hint of uncertainty gleamed in his eyes. But Klaus did not follow up his attack, but stood still and watched, with a sneer on his face, as if he were playing with the hunter of his prey.
"Come on, Joker." Klaus's tone was defiant, and his voice echoed through the empty woods.
Dyson wiped the blood from the corners of his mouth with the back of his hand, his eyes flashing with angry fire, and he roared, "Don't call me a clown!"
His voice, growling like a wild beast, shook the leaves around him.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
