Chương 5: Ch 5: New Friends

[The Tower, Evankhell's Hell, Third Test Area]

"The Immortal Beast?" Killua asked, confused by what he means.

"That is my nickname outside, Kill. And that is why you need to work hard if you want to be my teammates." stated Drake.

"You don't need to teach me about hardwork. You don't know how I passed my childhood." Killua replied with strange expression.

"Huh? How could you have passed your childhood. Aren't you still a child, hahahaha."

Seeing Killua's face, he knew something is wrong so he decided to lighten the mood.

"How could you say that bro! I'm 12 this year!" Killua angrily replied. But his face only become cuter instead.

"Hahahaha..." Drake just laughed it off. He rubbed Killua's hair then walked back together.

*BANG*

Suddenly, a shot came from behind, aimed straight at Drake's head. But he easily dodged the shot.

Actually he is aware that he is being targeted again, it's just he never thought that the guy could shoot him from 3 kilometers away.

He and Killua immediately split up and run towards the source.

"What?! How can he dodge my bullet?!"

The sniper can't believe his eye. He clearly shot them from their blindspot. He tried to run, but how can he run from Drake?

Not long after he ran, he bumped into someone and fall.

"Yo!" Greet Drake.

"IYAAAAAAHHHH!!"

A very 'manly' scream comes out of his mouth.

"Do- don't kill me, don't kill me please! I have 8,000 Rankers under my commands!"

Said the sniper. He holds his head high to intimidate Drake, but his trembling legs can't lie.

The sniper is a tan skinned man with a very long nose, black curly hair, and slightly muscular built. He is bare chested, only wearing pants with red suspender. He also wears a white sun cap and googles. And he is using a long slingshot as his weapon.

"Hahahahah, this is such a funny day. I'm Drake von Alkhazar. What's your name, long nose."

Drake who once led the entire mankind on his world laughed again.

Looking at his appearance, there's no way he know any ranker. And even if he knows, the ranker would immediately denied it.

'How could someone be so shameless at bragging. And look at him, even his leg can't hold his heavy words hahaha. This long nose is a funny guy too. Are all the regulars like this? Aren't you all supposed to be greedy, ambitious, power hungry guys?'

"I am God D. Usopp, the brave warrior of the tower." He answered.

"Drake!" Killua who had just caught up called.

"Huft, huft, huft... I never thought he's so far away. You're so fast, you already caught hi-

What?! Was this long-nosed guy the one who shot us?"

Killua rubs his eyes, can't believe this clown-looking guy is the one who shot him from 3 kilometers away.

"Who did you call long nose, you stinky brat. I'm the great warrior Usopp-sama."

'Just because you teamed up with this monster doesn't mean you can call me long nose too you brat.' Usopp thought.

"Who did you call stinky brat, you long nose." Then Killua looked at the slingshot in Usopp's hand.

"Are you kidding me? You shot us with a fucking slingshot? From 3 kilometers away!!"

"Mwahahahaha... It seems like you know my greatness now." Usopp nose seems to grow when he brag this time.

Killua just rolled his eyes and asked Drake instead." What should we do with this long nose?"

"Hahaha... Join us, God D. Usopp. We'll create a legend in this tower. And I need a brave warrior like you." Drake stretched out his hands.

"You, you believe me?" His eyes becomes teary.

"Yosh! This great warrior will carry you to the top of this tower! We'll create a legend!!" Then full of spirit, Usopp shouted it out loud.

With that the trio sat down, and lay on the ground waiting for the times up.

"Eh, we don't hunt other regulars down?" Usopp dumbfounded when he looks at Drake who laid down and Killua who played bugs.

"Why? We only need to survive for thirty minutes right. Anyway we only have to wait twenty minutes now." Drake answered.

"But isn't it better to reduce the number of other regulars. They are our competitor. And with your strength, don't you interested in best seed spot?" Usopp asked.

"Nope, not the slightest." Drake answered casually.

"I actually do. Unlike you guys, I came from the ten great family. I know that best seed spot will make you pass easier. I already eliminate six regulars before I bumped into Drake." Killua answered proudly.

"Only six, huh? This great warrior has slain seven regulars, brat." Usopp replied with even more proud tone.

"Nani? I think I counted it wrong. I've killed 'eight' regulars." Killua added two people in his kill count.

"No way if you killed eight then I've killed nine." Usopp doesn't want to lose to Killua at all.

"Then I have ten!"

"I'm eleven!"

"I'm twelve!"

.....

Killua and Usopp made a spark with their eyes. And that's how their rivalry started.

"Ahahaha..." The trio ended up laughing together.

Time for the test to end: 5 minutes

Three people wearing a cloak standing on top of regulars corpse. Two with normal human size and female figure. One standing at shocking 5 meters tall.

They looked into one direction, and one of the girls with brown hair asked,

"It seems like there's only three left. Should we hunt them now?"

I think the pace is slow, I'll try to speed up. Though maybe it's because my chapters is quite short. 900-1300 words per chapter (still on normal word per chapter limit... probably). So maybe it's not that slow, it's just other novel maybe reach crown game in their novel in ch 5. Meanwhile I'm still on the first test because my chapter is shorter.
