After Barry left to meet with Harrison Wells, Caitlin, now alone with Swayam, began flirting with him. As they whispered sweet things to each other, Swayam suddenly felt a disturbance from the research section of the lab, where Cisco and Felicity were testing the boomerang. Before he could react, the boomerang came hurtling toward them. Caitlin, seeing it too, instinctively screamed, causing Barry, Harrison Wells, and Joe to rush toward the commotion.
When everyone arrived—Barry, Joe, Harrison Wells, Cisco, and Felicity—they saw Caitlin clinging tightly to Swayam. Swayam had one arm protectively wrapped around her, while his other arm was extended, firmly gripping the boomerang that had caused the panic.
Cisco, rushing over and seeing that Swayam had caught the boomerang with one hand, was filled with admiration. Realizing that the boomerang had gone rogue because of his own mistake, Cisco quickly apologized, "That's my bad. Totally on me."
Harrison Wells, Barry, and Joe, who had been having a serious conversation about Barry's involvement with Arrow before the incident, were relieved it wasn't a metahuman attack. Ignoring Cisco's apology, Joe turned to Barry and commanded, "I want that Arrow out of my city—tonight."
As Joe spoke in a firm tone, he failed to notice the faint glint of red in Barry's eyes—something Oliver would have immediately recognized as a sign that Barry had been influenced by the emotion-manipulating metahuman.
One thing Barry hadn't mentioned to Swayam, the rest of the S.T.A.R. Labs team, or Oliver's team members was the fact that when he went to capture Roy G. Bivolo, the emotion-altering metahuman whom Cisco had named Prism, he had made a critical mistake. Despite Oliver's advice to avoid eye contact with Bivolo, Barry, after blindfolding him with a piece of torn cloth he found on the roadside, had checked to see if the blindfold was secure. Unfortunately, the cloth had a hole in it, and Barry accidentally made brief eye contact with Bivolo, getting subtly influenced by his power. Though Barry remembered Oliver's warning, he believed he was immune since he didn't feel an immediate effect. Still, he followed Oliver's instructions to knock Bivolo out and bring him in.

Now, back in the present. The next morning, Barry arrived at the lab. Although it wasn't immediately apparent, Swayam noticed subtle changes in Barry's behavior. Barry seemed to be acting strangely, getting irritated by even minor jokes from Cisco. Everyone assumed Barry was just having a bad day, especially since they had already imprisoned the emotion-manipulating metahuman in the pipeline.
As Barry was about to leave S.T.A.R. Labs, he suddenly remembered his conversation with Oliver. In addition to discussing Barry's need for training, Oliver had also suggested that Barry introduce Swayam, aka Shadow, to the rest of his team. Pausing at the door, Barry turned back and informed Swayam of Oliver's request.
Swayam was initially confused as to why Oliver Queen was showing interest in him. But then he realized that Oliver, like Bruce Wayne, was highly cautious and likely had a motive behind his request.
Swayam didn't mind, though. Whatever Oliver's reason, Swayam was confident he could handle it. So, after changing into his superhero suit, Swayam agreed to accompany Barry, and the two of them headed out together.

Oliver had set up his temporary base in the suburbs of Central City.
When Barry and Swayam arrived, they immediately spotted Oliver Queen, dressed in his normal clothes, standing outside as if he had been waiting for them. Swayam, walking just behind Barry, was visibly confused by Oliver's casual appearance. Before he could question anything, Felicity stepped outside with a cup of coffee, handing it to Oliver. She greeted them casually, "Hey! Barry, Sam. You're late. But anyway, want some coffee?"
Swayam facepalmed at her words and, pointing towards Oliver, flabbergastedly asked, "Did you just casually reveal my secret identity in front of this guy?"
Felicity, realizing she was being wrongly accused, quickly defended herself. She explained that Oliver had already figured out Swayam's secret identity on his own. According to her, it wasn't difficult for Oliver to deduce who was behind the mask of Shadow. Since Swayam and Barry were clearly acquainted, Oliver narrowed it down to three possible individuals. One was Eddie Thawne, Joe's partner and Iris's boyfriend, and the other two were Cisco and Swayam.
However, Oliver quickly eliminated Eddie and Cisco from suspicion because they were both clearly accounted for whenever Shadow made an appearance. This left Swayam as the only option.
Felicity, frustrated by the whole situation, added that Oliver had figured out Shadow's identity on his own in just one night—without even asking for her help.
