Veronik stood up from the stone she was sitting on and walked away from the part of the woods, completely stained by the blood and flesh of the wolves she had ripped apart. She was in quite a shocked state as she couldn't understand the sudden strength she possessed.
Back when she was fighting the wolves, she was able to tear a wolf in half with little difficulty, and that wasn't the only way to kill a wolf, so she didn't have much trouble taking care of the whole wolf pack. She was starting to wonder if the man sent her in between the wolves on purpose to show her the new power, but she dismissed the thought, as she didn't know anything about the man, and thus didn't want to make any hasty assumptions.
After walking for a while, Veronik found a stream of water and washed her hands and face in it, only to see her reflection in the water, looking at a face completely unfamiliar to her.
Beautiful features, long purple hair reaching her hips, deep scarlet eyes with sharp glint, snow-white skin, rosy lips, long hands and legs. In her past life, she looked like any other girl, petite, brown eyes, black hair reaching her shoulders, a bit of palish skin, but now, she was looking at her reflection, which wasn't her own.
When she was done washing up, she went away from the stream and climbed a tree, so she wouldn't need to have to take care of beasts that would attack her if they saw her. Sitting on a tree branch, Veronik closed her eyes and started going through her memories and knowledge in brain, separating away the knowledge she acquired through her whole life, and the knowledge the strange man gave her before she fainted.
After a while, she was shocked to realize that the knowledge she received from the man was tens of times more than all that she acquired throughout her whole life.
What she got from the man was more like a whole library of information, which could be separated into sections and books, like sections about beasts, alchemy, forgery, martial art, spiritual energy and divine energy, medicine, and so on.
Each section could be divided into introduction, part for beginners, up to overlords in the field, and additionally to that, there could be found numerous skill books regarding that one section.
Since Veronik was a doctor in her past life, she materialized the introduction to medicine in front of her, and it formed into a thick book in front of her. She took up the book and looked at it, slight confusion flashing through her eyes.
The book didn't have a title anywhere. She opened the book, and without any title, or name of a chapter, it right on started about introducing medicine.
Veronik quickly skimmed through the thick book and came to the conclusion that the introduction part of a section in the library of information is always a part that even ordinary people can know, as the things that she had read in the book about medicine were mass of information that was commonly known by people back in her past life.
With a single thought, the book disappeared, and to get a better insight on how the books work, she decided to look into the introduction of the section about spiritual energy and diviner energy, as that was something she had only heard of in fictional stories and certain religious groups. The book that appeared in front of her this time was only half the size of the medical book, but when Veronik read it, it opened a completely different world to her.
Basically, spiritual energy was an energy present in all living things and objects, which gave birth to existence. People could cultivate it and use it as they like, but not many had the gift to use it to that extent when they could do any big things.
Those who could usually enroll in academies all over the world to improve their control, understanding and storage of spiritual energy, and once they reached a certain level, they would no longer cultivate spiritual energy, but instead switch on to divine energy, an energy that gave birth to spiritual energy. With that, they could start to learn to twist space and time, but those who cultivated with divine energy were few and far between.
Veronik put away the book and leaned against the tree trunk, absorbing the new information she had just learned. Thinking about it, she realized that she must be in a world completely different to the one she lived in her past life, because in her past life, she had never heard about academies where students were taught about cultivation with spiritual energy, and she had never heard a word about twisting space and time.
When she thought about it, a strange thought came to her. Was the strange man who brought her to this world, a cultivator of divine energy? Or else, how was he able to bring her to a completely different world? He must have twisted space, or even time.
Very quickly, Veronik started browsing through the library of information and knowledge the man had inserted into her brain, but she no longer did it by materializing books in front of her, but by directly slipping her consciousness into the library and letting the information envelop her and enter her mind. By doing so, to the outside world, she looked like she was asleep, and nearly translucent, and the information entered her mind at an astonishing speed.
She avoided the skill books on purpose and only absorbed the basic information, so that she could absorb the skill books calmly and separately, so she could comprehend them in a better way, deeper to their cores.
Veronik kept on absorbing the information for a long time, and when she finally opened her eyes, a day had already passed, and she was hungry, so she jumped off the tree and using the knowledge she gained from the beast section, she quickly found a fox den. She found an injured fox there, and wanted to kill it, but she saw three small fox cubs laying behind the injured fox, trembling in fear.
